Had a snap response to a distressed sound? "Who was it?! ...right, it's my day off, I can go back to sleep."
Somebody growled at them? "Kid, I'm not a rival, that's my sibling."
Super cozy cuddle session happening nearby? "I'm gonna pass tonight guys, no social battery left, maybe next time."
Group of friends heading out to flirt and check out other singles? "I'm coming with you but only to make sure you all get home safe."
Setting where fated mates or soul bonds or permanent marks are a thing? "Meh. I don't really want one or care if I ever get one."
People in the actual omegaverse would get as bored of their stuff, as we do of ours, you know? It could be interesting to see that kind of vibe in fics. Biological demands faced with all the excitement of paying bills or doing laundry or tying your shoes.
Even if that kind of energy might not drive a plot, it could be interesting to have as a contrast to the people who do have big feelings about them - good or bad.
There's the friends who can't wait til they have a pack of their own, and the one friend who isn't against it but couldn't care less. There's the group in the office who are all about scent compatibility tests and figuring out one's best match and what sprays most highlight it, and the coworker who has no intentions on putting that much effort in. There are parents who hover and protect their offspring by scenting them multiple times a day, and others who don't see what the fuss is as long as it's done in the morning.
...also: packs with introverts who show care by giving each other space. So often, closeness is depicted through physical touch and tactile affection, but comfortable silence is meaningful too. Knowing people are near, but not having to interact until you're ready. Sitting in the same room doing different things, knowing that all it takes is a "hey, look at this" to share what you're up to. People understanding and accepting each other's differing or fluctuating needs for how and when to recharge. Seeing somebody reaching out or sharing space, beyond what's their norm, as a signal of the fact that they care.

#BACK FROM MONTREAL HIII#workin on that animatic for my brother so i ca get him to watch an ep of monkie kid.. clenches fist...#i wanted to work on frames on the drive there or while at the hotel but the problem is i didnt have time to make the rough copy on paper#before i left.. and i have to test the frames on premiere while working on it which i couldnt do cause i was away from my pc orz#idek if im going to keep this frame i keep wanting to redo it. i want to get it done tomorrow since i have a day off#this was rtunning in the back of my mind the whole trip and it frustrated me to no end.. but i had fun in montreal!!#its hard to find good parking because everythings in french theres no parking lots and where you can and cannot park is extremely vague#but i liked the science center and the biodome.. i kind of prefer the academy of sciences in LA just because there are so many animals#but i like how the biodome was an open enclosure. walking around old montreal was cool too#wip#doodles#lego monkie kid#lmk

thinking about how in angel's egg the girl is. well. a little girl (and innocent kid) and is also near pure white in skin tone and hair and is also followed by feathers whenever she runs

#the bird is god the egg is the son the girl is the holy spiritt#the man is judas#the egg is the son (jesus) and he betrays the girl by destroying the egg when she is asleep#the water bottles are offerings to the bird (god)#the man fears god . he thinks god has abandoned them and fears a potential wipeout with the water levels rising every night#thats why he qoutes the bible passages about the story of god trying to destory humankind#thats why he destroys the egg. he is frightened of what may be inside#id say hes also scared of the girl a tinsy bit but that's just my personal understanding of his facial expressions#i think the fish shadows and the other men represent humanitys determination to live and persevere#also how desperation for a better life in times of tough can quickly turn into anger at the wrong ppl#those damn fish arent doing anything! but its the closet thing the people of the town can try and kill to earn back a sense of agency#the towns are going to keep flooding every night anyway though because they're directing their anger at the wrong thing#i still rlly enjoy the reveal that the land is actually noah's ark flipped upside down#again going into my thing of humanitys determination to survive. they couldnt find land so they live on the literal boat#does depend on whether or not you interpret the towns flooding at night god trying to finish the job and destory his creation or if its like#rising sea tide or sm. im personally more inclined to the 1st one tho#especially with whatever the hell is going on with that big sphere eyeball thing#i still dont know what the deal with that thing is after so many rewatches#i fear i never well#if you made it this far . congrats. also watch angels egg#i wanted to compile my thoughts somewhere.. unfortunately i dont think ill ever make a coherent post about this movie#its just too Like That and full of mystery for me to ever be happy with an analysis cuz theres definitely going to be a plot hole in there#somewhere so take instead.. unorganized thoughts of my brain jumping from idea to idea#angels egg#angels egg spoilers

I am thinking so much about my au actually. I need to keep fucking writing because I NEED people to ask me about it someday... one day I want to wake up and there be an ask in my inbox about one of the chapters and I will get to answer it. I have to get there first but I've got a feeling school starting will kick me back into full swing soon enough!!
#kinda sad sounding but#i keep getting sad and unmotivated bc i dont rlly have any friends to hang out with#and humans are social creatures yknow#i have plenty of online friends#like#loads#and ive got a friend at work#but i didnt make any new friends last semester because of the crippling paranoia#so ive been relatively alone friend-wise all summer#im working on it though dw#theres people that i find really cool that i want to see if i can hang out with#anyway#next chapter is a really fun bishop one#and kind of practice to see how many characters i can squeeze into a scene without the audience forgetting any#we get a yellow cat pov#which technically starts the only plotline in my au that ive kept hidden from my friends#OH MAN one of my friends made a comment on call last night (i think) and i could have made the funniest joke#but it wouldve been about that plotline#anyway im sad i couldnt make the joke
