HOWEVER, when you eventually sigh and reach for the remote to turn it off, he immediately puts his hand on top of yours

You happily snuggle into his side, grinning as he wraps a firm arm around you, a murmured I’m sorry warming the top of your head as you redirect your attention to the TV

And then rewinds it 10 seconds because she forgot what was happening

Movie night basically takes Literally. All. Night. 🙃

And you wouldn’t have it any other way

You usually fall asleep after an hour or so (she keeps patting your hair and squeezing your arm while you snooze), but she always wakes you up with her happy sobbing at the end 

“Mitsuri?” you mumble, blinking drowsily as tears drip onto your forehead, “Everything ‘kay?”

“THEY’RE IN LOVE!!!!!” 😭😭😭🥰

Kyojuro is invested 🤓

He’s taking notes, ooh-ing and aww-ing at the appropriate moments, and even feeding you popcorn while he’s at it 🍿

Albeit, half the popcorn ends up in your lap — you don’t mention it 🤪

Definitely gets teary eyed before you do

“Kyojuro, are you crying?”

“Yes, my love. Of course I am crying!” 🥹😭

“And why’s that?” 😆

At this point, Kyojuro pauses the TV, shifting on the couch to face you, reaching for your hands and cupping them against his heart

“Because despite all of their hardships and obstacles, they keep choosing each other.”

You sniffle, leaning in to rest your forehead on his

“You’re so sappy. I love you.”

He grins, end of the movie already forgotten as he touches your fingertips to his lips

“You are so perfect. I love you.”

Try as he might, Sanemi cannot bring himself to hate romcoms

—The first time you watched one, he wasn’t even planning on joining you

Yet somehow, he ended up glued to the TV hardly blinking with a face mask drying on his skin while you painted his nails cherry red 😌

—The second time, you didn’t tell him you were going to watch one

He nearly pouted at you when he walked into the living room, already 20 minutes in, until he remembered that he was supposed to hate them 🙃

Which, still didn’t stop him from making a bowl of popcorn and opening a bag of chips, plopping onto the couch, and unceremoniously restarting the movie 😆 (to your credit, you just shrugged and thanked him for the snacks 😋)

—The third time, you ask him if he wants to join you

“I guess.” 😐

“You’re such a bad liar.”

Sanemi frowns, pressing a reassuring kiss to your forehead, “I want to spend time with you.”

You smirk knowingly, “You want to watch a romcom.” 😏

He scowls, “I want to spend time with you.” 

“So which one should we watch?” 🤭

He falls headfirst into your trap, “50 First Dates, Me Before You, or When Harry Met Sally,” before he realizes he totally just gave away the fact that he’s been diligently researching only the best and finest romcoms to watch with you 👀😂

Doesn’t really understand the appeal of romcoms, but if you’re happy, then he’s happy ☺️

“Giyuu, are you alright?” 😕

“Absolutely,” he smiles faintly, squeezing your knee as the FL trips and falls into the ML’s arms

“You seem a little… distant?”

Hearing the disappointment in your voice, Giyuu quickly pauses the movie

“How so?”

He’s genuinely confused because he actually feels quite close — to you, at least

Sitting on the couch, enjoying a quiet evening in

“Like, you’re not really into this?” 😅

He thinks for a moment, hand still on your knee as his gaze softens, dots connecting at the hesitation in your tone

“You’re right. Romcoms aren’t exactly my thing. But you are definitely my thing.”

“Soooo… we should watch something else?” 😝

“I’d rather make our own romcom than watch random people pretend to be in love on TV,” he shrugs, “But I also think watching a romcom together is pretty romcom of us, so I’m content.”

You raise an eyebrow, both endeared by and unsure of his response

“Whatever you want to watch, I want to watch. I apologize if I seemed bored or uninterested. I really just want to spend time with you.”

You nod slowly, cheeks warming as his hand traverses to your thigh, kneading gently as he murmurs lowly, “I love being here with you. I love being anywhere and everywhere with you. Okay?”

“Okay.” 🥹

“Clearly, you’re an idiot.” —> muttered under his breath as the ML awkwardly waves at the FL

“The signal. How could you miss the signal?!” —> whisper shouted bc he’s never missed any signals in his entiiire life 🙄🙄🙄😉🥴😂

“It’s a miracle this guy’s gotten past Hello.” 😐

“HAVE YOU EVER EVEN TOUCHED A WOMAN?!” —> hollered at the TV as the ML fumbles through the first makeout scene

“She definitely faked that orgasm.” 😒

“For goodness sake, buy this woman some flowers.” 💐 —> bitterly scoffed when the ML fucks up

“MORE flowers.” 💐💐💐 —> as the ML continues fucking up

Thank so much for answering my ask the other day. It was about your thoughts on ep4. This season feels off and yes the “go to mom” line pissed me too. I am Grace stan all the way. Some of the things are so forced and out of character this season - the sudden dynamic shift of ruby being apple of his eyes and no kinds words for charlie🤯🤯 thats not the tommy we know. Anyways no matter how much I rant.. i am going to watch it till the end!! And i am sooooo curious to see how the grace symbolism is going to work out!! Thank you for your time, your thoughts are always nice to read, you keep up the morale of this stan 🌼😘 i look forward to reading more from you.

l'm just like you !!! l'm not really enjoying Peaky Blinders' new direction and style, but does that mean that l'll stop watching Peaky Blinders ?! Hell fucking no!!! l expected so much better from steven knight....l don't like what he did to the characters and storylines this season. The "not there yet line" pissed me off !!! What does that even mean stevie ?! Steven better not do what l think he implied by "not yet" cause ain't no body got time for a retcon story!!! He " steven" hasn't betrayed us yet, but if he pulls that shit on us l'll cuss him the fuck out lol.

I think tommy and charlie did have one or two cute moments, l loved their scenes in 6X04( that hug scene was soooo cuuute!!! my charlie stan heart is still not over it !!!! )

lIf l'm being honest here, l think that ruby being part of the main plot this season is why this season ain't that good!!! This is the season finale right ?! So why would you basically make 4 out of 6 episodes of the finale season centered around a kid...ruby...a character we barely know ?!!! That decision doesn't fucking make sense!!!! Now they have what ?! 2 episodes left !!! How the fuck are they going to wrap things up in a satisfying way?! Who the f*** thought that storyline was interesting? They could've turned this season into season 5 volume 2 and the audience would've been ok with it!!! We all expected a season 5 volume 2 ...what happened to the black cat, mr chang...

Can’t wait to see what they do with all the grace’ symbolism too nonnie.
