god, armand as a character is giving me serious brainrot. he's such a control freak because he desperately needs to derive meaning from something—anything. whether it's god, rituals, or coven life, he needs to give a purpose to his existence. this is why he upholds these stringent laws and regulations in both of his covens, which are ultimately destroyed by someone he loves who stands outside it all. and he kind of just allows that destruction, despite all of his power, because he is also... bored? it's like he's on autopilot, going through life in this meticulously constructed routine until he meets lestat and later louis, who both refuse to adhere to his carefully crafted structures and disrupt the status quo. this is attractive to armand because deep down, underneath his all masked emotions, he is very lonely and desperate for connection! which is just awfully human for such an ancient powerful being
imagine being this old and alone, how do you endure? armand tries to find value in these rigid structures because otherwise, his life feels empty. "he needs rules to give him purpose" but in the end, this doesn't fulfill him completely because, despite his feigned confidence and stoicism, he is insecure, needy, and traumatized. this is why he seeks out chaos despite having spent all this time trying to control everything and everyone around him. he lets it happen—for love, but also, i think, because unconsciously he desires that total loss of control, which allows him to actually feel something real. every few decades, he almost intentionally lets his entire world, the world he worked so hard to manipulate into his will, be ruined. yet, when he tells daniel he "let it happen," he is lying, too (at least about lestat) because he presents himself as more passive, composed, and reasonable than he really was when his way of life was threatened. he just tells himself that he wanted it that way all along so he remains the one in control. i need to see him crack

insanely special to not only see but also hear directly from fob how much this tour meant to them and how special it was like. on night one it was obvious it was going to be something to cherish, but what tourdust turned into is nothing short of magic and it is insane and means the world to me that it wasn’t just magically healing and transformative for Us as fans, but for the band too. an incredibly rare instance where it isn’t parasocial to say there was bonding and love shared between us— because there actually was impact made, that they’re happy to be vulnerable about. and knowing that is everything

I love this song so much!! It's a really nice tribute to Syd and Rick's own feelings towards him and the loss of him are much more obvious here than they are in the Wish You Were Here album, which was also about Syd, but rather from Roger's perspective – the emotions in this song are just so pure. I also like how the flute kinda reminds of The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (idk if that was intentional, but it does sound like that to me). Well, the whole album is beautiful and worth listening to.

saw someone say izzy's makeup in the calypso's bday episode was ugly... so what? IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE UGLY! this is izzy's first time doing drag/painting his face. he didn't know what makeup is. god, he didn't even know it was an option! & ofc when you try doing something for the first time you're gonna be bad at it. guaranteed. & i guess john wee (who, btw, ATE that look) helped izzy out a bit, but probably only by suggesting some tips & tricks while izzy did the makeup himself—at least to me, he himself chose the colors, the shapes, etc. & he was so happy he could finally express himself in a way he didn't know was even possible yet he certainly needed.. ahhhh the power of drag!

Megumi saying “I’m invested in you” instead of “I love you” like a normal person is the best characterization I’ll ever write, idk if I can ever top that

tbh in my headcanon conception of them zutara is not super pda-heavy. they like being near to each other, they can read each other’s expressions really well, they gravitate toward one another almost without thought (even before they get together), and they’re very much the “sit on the same side of the booth” couple and pretty much always know where each other is in a room at a given time.
but those intimate gestures—holding hands, kissing, gently cupping each other’s faces, comforting embraces—are something they largely like to keep private, something just for them.
