she was didn’t know where she was really not that it mattered. she went up to oxford to party with the posh guys and all her. you could barely call the white lingerie she wore an angel costume, something she thought would an irony. she probably mixed too many liquors and too many drugs together. still she reaches for the hand of the guy she’s leaning on pulls him to a door, hoping one will be a bathroom or a bedroom. with her luck she’ll see what happened tonight on twitter in the morning.

they told her to be on her best behavior, that she’s technically working edinburgh fringe festival. still she thinks she’s doing a charitable deed. she’s buying these poor struggling actors alcohol and then getting into drinking contests with them. it’s all rather sensible if you ask her. she’s doing a charity besides it feels good being the center of attention. she’s sitting on the actual bar, a rather attractive actor from some play or some shit she watched today has his hand on her thigh. why would she do anything else?

she knew that the braemar gathering was a big deal, she’d been to it almost every year of her life. still it didn’t mean she wasn’t bored as hell after a day of it, it’s why she’d pulled richard aside at the noble dinner at balmoral later that evening. her own personal playground as a kid, she knew exactly which cupboard to push him in. it would have been so much nicer if her mother’s fucking cheif of staff hadn’t opened the door when she was on her knees. the yelling wasn’t even bad, it was the punishment. her life being packed into suitcases around her as she sat on her bed back in edinburgh 24 hours later. no what hurt the most was her mother’s last words to her before she got on the plane to dubai, “i wonder if you’ll ever stop disappointing me.”

“you’ve got to be fucking kidding me?! happy birthday, happy christmas, we’re marrying you off to the crown prince of venezuela! how could you do this to me mum? catherine just said-” she doesn’t think she’s ever been more furious in her life. opening the bottle of vodka and lining up the cocaine she said on her. “you know what i don’t care if i was drunkenly with him once, mother it doesn’t mean i want to fucking marry him! you’re ruining my life! forgive me, your majesty. i won’t forget from now on i’m your subject, not your daughter. have a happy christmas, goodbye.” she threw the phone, then threw a shot back looking at the lines she set up. “lola!” she screamed walking towards her suitcase. “i want to look sluttier than a prostitute whose rent is due tomorrow, a christmas present to my mother given my engagement. i don’t want to remember tonight.”

she knew for days, something was wrong. she wasn’t how she always was, then she got sick, consistently, three mornings in a row. sitting staring at the line of positive pregnancy tests that were in her bathroom sink she looked at cora rubbing her back comfortingly. “i need to call or text or- there are only two people i don’t make wear a condom and i haven’t slept with richard since september.” grabbing her phone she  sent a quick ‘come over now’ text. and threw her phone towards the bed. “burn the tests tonight, get them out of her, taking them to the fucking mcdonalds to throw them away if you have to. they aren’t gonna be anywhere near me though, it can not ruin everything. my mother already hates my existance, she’d send me to the fucking gallows if i ruined her one chance at getting rid of me. not a word of this to her spy either or catherine.”

it was cold and she was crying. laying on the chair in the doctor’s office, she held onto cora’s hand like it was her only way of living and she felt so much relief knowing that if she needed it neil would carry her out of the building. “i know, i’m not the model catholic or really any religion, but i still feel wrong, i feel guilty. i don’t know what else to do though.” so she cried, letting her communications advisor and his wife comfort her like they were her parents. sometimes they feel more like parents than her own. when the doctor comes in, tells her its going to pinch and might be uncomfortable, she lets cora distract her with stories of her and neil when they started dating. while she doen’t need him to carry her out, she leans on them both the whole way to car, letting herself come to terms that she wasn’t pregnant anymore.

“félix, i’m going to get fucking wasted at the beach,” she wasn’t sure when she got fucking domestic. she lives with her fiancé, they share a bed, fucking wedding magazines are sent to her. it feels like she’s in a snow globe. one where she barely recognizes who she is. she still looks in the mirror and remembers that if things had been different her stomach would probably have a bump now, not be the flat as it is. so instead, she’s taken to more day drinking, trying not to think about the thing only 6 people in the world know about and why it makes her feel so empty.

The Secret of Shadow Ranch Game VS Book

Howdy folks!

I’ve decided to check the differences between the book and the game. I had no internet yesterday and I was bored. Fortunately this was kinda fun.

I’ve got two pages of differences so stick your heels down and settle in your saddles, it’s gonna be a long one.

I would say spoilers but the games kinda old and the book is ancient so i really don’t think there are spoilers at this point. Also it’s not in perfect order because from going back and forth from book and game. This isn’t a criticism of the game just a note of the differences.

It’s a lot and if it’s hard to read don’t be afraid to ask about parts

Bess and George arrived a week before Nancy in the book. In game they arrived after she did

Shorty’s last name is Steele in the book not Thurmond(like in game)

Uncle Ed and Aunt Bet got the ranch as repayment for a debt(two months prior). In game they simply sold the store they owned and brought the ranch(three months prior). Both were shopkeepers before though

When Nancy arrived in game Dave Gregory took her to the ranch on horseback. However in book, Nancy rented a car that overheated and Dave came out to fix it. The girls were guided to Shadow Ranch in car by Dave also in car. It was seriously hot and there was a sandstorm, also Shadow Ranch is practically two hours from the airport in Phoenix. The cars were used to get around multiple times afterward.

Sabotage in Game: Possible unmentioned things(?) - Rattlesnake bite- Water Pump explosion- electricity

Sabotage in Book:-Unnamed sabotage-windmills-trashed house and missing dog-missing palominos- electricity and water pump wrecked

There were also other acts of sabotage but the horse wasn’t “apart” of them. That sounds confusing but it makes sense in context.

Uncle Ed and Aunt Bet were present throughout the book. Absent in game due to Rattlesnake bite

In the book the rattle of a rattlesnake was dropped into Nancy’s knitting bag with a warning to leave Shadow Ranch alone. Which she ignored.

Also she was trying to knit a sweater for her dad during the course of the mystery. in the game there is no in progress sweater. Side note: the sweater was meant as a birthday present but in a later book when they had a birthday party for Carson(first in a while apparently) she didn’t even give him the sweater.

Dave Gregory- Young hot cowboy(same obviously). Much more hostile to Nancy. Not shy and bashful. Isn’t nice to Nancy until much later. He’d thought she’d interfere with his finding the treasure but realized she wouldn’t. Was a total dick. Not Cowboy/Southern Charm. From New York so that check out.He’s sweet for the rest of the book.

Apache Chief- The handsome guard dog of the Rawleys’. Usually called Chief.He’s a large black german shepherd and a very good boy. Chases after the phantom horse and goes missing for a bit. Returns and helps solve the mystery.

Al Diamond- Boss of the Bank Robbers. Real Mastermind.

Sid Brice- Accomplice of Diamond and Shorty Steele.

Shorty Steele- regular cowboy and dumbass accomplice planted at Shadow Ranch to get rid of the Rawleys

Mary Deer- A young shopkeeper that literally tells everyone about the Valentine Treasure. Set the bad guys on their hunt unknowingly

Sheriff Curtis- Just Sheriff Hernandez with a different name

The game cut out a subplot mystery involving Uncle Ross Regor. Six months before Ross Regor went to the bank to get some papers he needed to work on. Unfortunately he came during the robbery and the bank president was kidnapped by the robbers so that they would not be identified. He falls under suspicion because other robbers disappeared and it made it look like he was one of them. He wasn’t. Nancy and the three cousins found him starved but alive near Dirk Valentine’s treasure.

Mary Yazzie doesn’t believe in the Valentine treasure. Mary Deer does.

In book Shorty left canteens empty and could not be trusted to fill them. In the game he mostly was.

The final encounter with the criminals stands in a similar rock formation/hide-out sorta deal but instead Diamond threatens to blow up Nancy, the cousins, Uncle Ross, and the treasure. It’s too late to keep it so he decides to destroy it. Nancy stalls for time until Dave saves them

The final encounter in game is pretty much just Nancy tricking Shorty into falling through a hole. Then she steals the phantom horse and rides off.

The girls go to a barbecue and square dance with the handsome cowboys. There she announces she found the treasure. Unfortunately, Game Nancy doesn’t get to square dance.

 In the book Dave is a direct descendant of Frances Humber Dale. Sheriff Humber intercepted a letter from Dirk to Frances and learned of a meeting spot of the lovers. He went and hid with his gun. Dirk arrived and was subsequently shot and killed by the Sheriff. He went home and told Frances as she was lighting an oil lamp. After hearing that her lover was killed she fainted; Frances then had become extremely ill. When she got a bit better her father sent her to Buffalo, NY to fully recover. She continued to stay with relatives after fully recovering. She married a man called Mr.Dale and had two children with him before dying at a young age. Later Dave and his family moved from Buffalo to Phoenix and heard of the treasure. Hearing of Frances’ descendants, an old friend of her’s sent Dave some of Frances’ things. It’s pretty likely that Frances never fully knew what belonged to her and her heirs. Dave Gregory’s father died and left him to take care of his younger brother and sister. Dave didn’t have enough money to raise and pay for their education. He began to work at Shadow Ranch to earn some money until he found the treasure.

In the game Dave is only distantly related to Frances Humber. His great Aunt was her cousin. Frances left Shadow Ranch in perfect health and taught in Ohio before dying. She never found love again and never went for the treasure. Dave’s brother is dead broke and sick so he needs the money to help him out. Instead of being shot by the sheriff, Dirk was captured and hanged.

There is a horse named Choo-Choo in the book. The others went unnamed but the fact that Choo-Choo wasn’t mentioned is a crime.

Bob, Tillie, Frank, Dandy, Cookie, Clyde, Don, Pako, Zeke, and Ace are to horses in game.

Fun fact Dave refers to Nancy as “cookie” in the book. But like in the cooking sense

In game Nancy had a steady back home but in the book she didn’t. However there is a set of “Miss prints” that were published that mention Ned even though he is first introduced 2 books later. Somehow Nancy knows he’s in Europe.

In the game the ranch lost water and electricity separately. In book, it happened at the same time. They did try to break the water pump separately but were caught and couldn’t finish. So they ran and cut the electricity; Effectively cutting both water and power. The spring house used electricity.

Nancy makes sure to check her girth/cinch before getting on a horse. In the game we had to make her so she didn’t end up upside down.

The phantom horse usually arrived seconds after a special whistle by Dirk as it had done so in life. In game the horse just appeared.

Shadow Ranch is near Tumbleweed. No town is mentioned in game but Mary Deer’s shop is located there.

The cake in game was a recipe from Shadow Ranch. In book it was Nancy’s own recipe. Also it’s chocolate.

Phosphorescent powder was used on a white horse in game. In the book the criminals used phosphorescent paint on filmy Japanese silk on a black stallion to create their phantom.

In the book Dave talks to the Rawleys and offers to split the treasure with them once he finds it. Uncle Ed and Aunt Bet refuse to take any of the treasure but thank him for telling them. He offers some to Nancy and she also refuses. In the game the Rawleys split it with Dave.

The treasure in game is entirely heart-shaped gold pieces. In the book the treasure included the heart-shaped pieces with bank notes and jewels. The gold is handed over to the state government but he does get money from the bank notes and jewels for him and his siblings.

The “green bottle in the cellar” wasn’t found by the cellar in the book. As mentioned above, Frances had found the bottle and the letter. When she went to read it her father told her about killing Dirk. Because she fell ill so soon after she couldn’t continue the hunt. In game, she didn’t want to find it anymore so she gave the hunt to Dave’s aunt. Who then gave the hunt to Dave.

In game Nancy discovered the phosphorescent powder when her gloves started to glow. In the book, the dog started glowing. After biting the horse, the paint stained his teeth. This was discovered when “floating phantom specks” where found in the living room. Poor Chief was just trying to play with his ball in peace and accidentally scared everyone.

Tex doesn’t have a sister. However he does have a 15 year old brother named Jack who went on a date with Alice Regor.

Obviously the Hardy Boys weren’t involved at all.

Sure there are a bunch of things in common. All of the clues are more or less the same. The book features some incidents that were caused by nature. Also features less annoying puzzles. Anyway, this was fun and tiring. I’m gonna go play FFXIV. I will do one for Secret of the Old Clock but that will take me a bit because the game is based off of four books and not just one.

I know there’s a lot of little details but hey I’m a mystery fan. What kinda fan would I be if I didn’t look into the little details?

The feeling when you see a piece of media on someone’s blog and they say it’s no longer on the internet in official/legit ways and you discover you have it stashed away but under a different name. 

Hopefully I ate enough yesterday to make myself a good amount of red blood cells. 

There is a new contender for the Chonky Boi crown. Ikaika (Ike) the killer whale is only 16, already 20 feet, and 9,300 pounds. He’s 5 feet and 5000 pounds from the record of Largest Animal in Captivity, Orky II* another killer whale, and is likely to surpass it. His brother from another mother Kyuquot is the current Chonky Boi but only by around 6 inches.

Anyone needing soap opera/white trash trailer park family trees can look in to the pod relationships at Seaworld. Ike is sort of the step dad to his uncle who is 11 years older than he is and grandfather to the calf that had to get a DNA test to determine Ike isn’t the father. His newest stepson is the younger brother of his uncle’s daughter. The uncle’s late daughter was the only calf of Ike’s girlfriend’s late husband’s youngest daughter... 

The uncle Keet is the half brother to the oldest daughter of his baby mama’s calves... 

Opening shot for the sitcom would be a meeting of the “I fucked Tilikum club” at the local hang out and decoding if Kasatka counts because of artificial insemination. But having a different father for each calf is normal so Katina who had three with Tilli, and one with her son by him, would be the anomaly. Her name is Nalani, goggle it.

Well, more resting today. Got more Husbands pictures to art from too. Still haven’t got around to arting but I’m feeling a bit more awake today. Hopefully it’ll last.

'Nosferatu' Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror Released in 1922, Nosferatu is just a few years shy of its 100th anniversary, and somehow still manages to be creepy. Part of that effect may come from its on-location sets and beautifully framed shots, and Max Schreck’s performance as the titular monster certainly factors into its legacy. Yet another spooky aspect is the film’s soundtrack, which has been adapted and reimagined over the years. Reaching Out

For Wish Hook Week, a short missing scene between two of my favorite ones in 7x08—Regina’s Cakegate and the chess offer heard round the world. I love them both, and can’t help but imagine everything that went on in Rogers’s head between the two. So, mild cheating but I hope it works.

He’d spent years trying to ensure nothing got under his skin. Years reinforcing his armor after a string of loss, foster homes, and isolation. Rogers believed, after his thirty-six years on this earth, he’d perfected the art of thickening his skin.

So then why the hell was it now crawling?

Sure, the cake thing had gotten on his nerves; a kind gesture suddenly trashed with the weak excuse of “too much sugar” or whatever the devil Roni had said. Rogers suppressed another sigh at the memory as he wandered up and down the aisles of the store, his boots creating a uniformed clicking that plucked at some faded memory. Even with her apparent glucose-phobia, Roni did have a point—people only allowed themselves to be pawns when they had nowhere else to turn.

He’d been there before. Hell, who hadn’t? Alone, desperate for kinship, and willing to do anything if it would endear him to the right people or save him from others. Tilly’s face then invaded his mind. Those wide, anxious eyes when she warned him he didn’t want to hear what she was about to say, as if alerting him the best she could that she didn’t want to go through with what Weaver had ordered. Her finding him on her own, taking responsibility for her actions without any prodding, telling him with sincerity and tears in those same anxious eyes that she was sorry.

And, what had he done? Thrown it back in her face. Said he was disappointed.

Bloody hell, he was an asshole.

If Tilly had been a pawn, he’d stepped over her without a second thought, tossing her away as if she never mattered. She’d offered her help with the minimal request of food in exchange. He had been accustomed to the people on the streets long enough to know how much value was in information, and it was worth a hell of a lot more than a cheap lunch, especially to a skittish girl who had found a home in a shipping container. He’d encountered informants demanding stacks of money and amnesty for the unthinkable. What was a bit of marmalade?

Over and over, he heard his own voice in his head. “I understand, I’m just disappointed. You’re not the person I thought you were.” He took one terrible moment to place himself in her shoes and the words stung down to the depths of his chest.

How many times in his life had he felt that same rejection? How many times had he wished with all his heart that one person had been there when he needed it most, in spite of all his regrettable decisions? Had Tilly even had a family to think on in her moments of need? At least he had—

He rubbed his hand over his eyes and took a steadying breath. What would Liam think about his actions? Did Tilly have anyone like that as a voice in her mind? Was that why she had been so reluctant?

Suddenly, Rogers felt as if he had been hit by two freight trains coming at him in opposite directions. He both knew exactly how she could feel, and yet he had judged her without really knowing all that much about her. He’d become one of his own nightmare scenarios.

Damn the cake, Roni was right.

Without realizing it, he had wandered down the games aisle and an idea beamed like a lightbulb over his head. He remembered that cold shipping container and that haphazard game he had shared with Tilly, her eager glance at him as she waited for him to process her words, her raised eyebrows highlighting every ounce of mischief on her face. He had, as he often did, calculated his surroundings down to every detail, noting how she was missing several pieces and still more were mismatched.

She needed someone, just as he had once upon a time. He couldn’t deny he was still disappointed at her actions, though now the frustration had waned into the desire to give her a mild scolding and assure her there were better paths to take. She was one of the good ones, he knew. At her age he only had half as much heart and twice the attitude.

Before Rogers knew it, the chessboard was in his hand and he was reaching for his card with the other. If she needed someone to be another option, another light outside the shipping container with her mismatched chess pieces and the stone troll that held her grudgingly in his arms, he supposed there was no harm in being that person. Sometimes all it took was one person reaching out.

Maybe he could be her white knight.

“Good Afternoon, Miss Worthington. Have a seat,” Northlake’s ever well-meaning guidance councillor offered, noticing that in the thirty seconds since the teenager had walked into the room Tilly had been staring at the already occupied seat in what could only be described as fear.

It had been odd enough when she had been called out of her last period, a precious free which she had been using to update her social media, to report to the principal’s office immediately. Her mind was filled with thoughts about what she could have done that merited a trip to the office, she was sure the man had given up on reforming her years ago. The list mainly consisted of the slight smears in her campaign or perhaps her literally threatening the lives of other students, but it grew much worse when she had opened the door and spotted the room’s third occupant. Sitting across the desk, knuckles white from grasping at the chair’s arms in anger and a face like thunder, was Tripp Worthington.

There was only one reason her father would grace the halls of Northlake High with his presence again, and she had no idea how anybody had found out about it. She knew Anne would never open her mouth and she’d learnt the hard way not to doubt Eric’s trust. Who possibly could have told the councillor about her abortion?

She decided to play dumb, she had gotten rather good at it, and stayed standing by the doorway as she began to ask, “What is th-”

“Sit down Matilda!” Tripp barked, making it clear that as always things would be done his way. There wasn’t any hesitation in her movement as, in the silence that followed the outburst, Tilly quickly took the seat beside her father. There was a long pause, the other adults in the room obviously too scared that they would get the same treatment if they dared to cut the tension surrounding them. “Well, tell her,” The older Worthington ordered, his eyes boring into the staff before him but still avoiding looking at his daughter. If there were ever questions about where that infamous glare Northlake had become so accustomed to came from it was undoubtedly inherited.

“Well Matilda, w-we were looking over your file, we do with...umm...with all the Seniors around this time of year and...well...” The councillor stuttered, her eyes shifting from the girl to the man, and even to her employer as though begging him for help. It was then that he took over, swallowing down a large gulp as he faced the two in front of him, “We are concerned that you-”

“You’re not going to graduate,” Tripp interrupted again, although this time it almost seemed as though there was pleasure in his voice. As though just for a moment he had forgotten that his only daughter was bringing shame onto the family name and instead was making some poor nameless faceless family homeless and starving. It was gone in an instant, when he turned to his child and hissed, “You have managed to fail at something that even the biggest simpleton can accomplish. That retard Bill Clinton managed to graduate high school. Your mother managed to graduate from this high school. It is one thing to not be Ivy League material Matilda, you never had the brains for that, but to not even graduate high school?! You are the biggest moron in this whole goddamn town!”

“Mr Worthington-”

“What?!” He roared, his anger finally directed away from Tilly, as though daring the older woman to criticise him. She fell silent, obviously not ready to take on the wrath that the teenager had been dealing with her entire life. He gave a brief nod, meaning that they were done with the conversation, as his hands releasing their grip on the chair to wrap even harder around his daughter’s arm, so hard that she could practically feel the bruises taking place, “I’ll take it from here.” She was dragged out of the office and into the hallway before the members of staff could protest.

Tilly’s eyes were kept firmly on the ground with her head hanging low as her father manhandled her through the hallways of her high school, but she could still hear the chatter of her fellow students - had she really spent thirty minutes in that room? - and feel their stares when it stopped. For moment she wondered what they were more surprised at; the fact that Tilly Worthington had finally seemed to be being punished or that the infamous Tripp was obviously back in town?

She almost sighed in relief when the cold breeze of the car park hit her, but she should have known better. It would only get worse, and there seemed to be even more witnesses making their way to their car instead of hanging around lockers.

She was pulled to a halt, the deadly grip realising her as though she was on fire. Perhaps her father was so disgusted he couldn’t even stand to touch her any longer.

“You are a pathetic, worthless piece of trash who was obviously sent from hell to test me! From the day and hour you were born you have been nothing but a disappointment Matilda! You have gone out of your way time and time again to try to destroy me, to destroy the legacy of our family with your crazy antics and now this! I have had enough! I will be staying in Northlake and you will not be let out of my sight, are we understood? No more parties, no more schemes and no more Sunday brunches with people who haven’t worked out what a toxic parasite you are yet! I am staying until I can find somewhere that will take you!” The stream of insults was so loud that Tilly was convinced even those who had skipped last period to go to Dairy’s would hear the rant. But there was only one thing that in her shock she could question.

“Take me?” Her tone took on an unsure tone that wasn’t usually associated with Matilda Worthington, with any Worthington, but it was the shaking that truly betrayed her vulnerability.

“Yes, take you. You didn’t think I was going to let you stay here after this, did you? I’ve already contacted St. Genevieve's but unfortunately they won’t accept the spawn of Satan so we will have to look at other options. I couldn’t even get you into Arizona State Matilda, the biggest party school in the country wouldn’t lower their standards for a disgrace like you and I can hardly blame them,” It was then that car keys were thrust into her hand, painfully the metal dug into the skin of her palms so much that she winced, but her father only spat, “You disgust me. So much that I can’t even sit in the same car as you without being tempted to run it off the road. You will drive straight home and meet me there where we can discuss this further.”

And with that Tripp straightened his suit jacket, composing himself before turning to walk towards the black Mercedes. He could somehow ignore the gawking that was making Tilly want to throw up, maybe he even revelled in it. His daughter, in contrast, stood as though she was frozen to the spot before her head snapped back down to the ground and she ran to her car. The tears streaming down her face told her that once again she was failing miserably to contain her emotions until she reached the safety of her Rover.

What's that mean? Ginger's production of keratin, which makes up hair and nails, can be controlled at will, though it tends to produce itself more rapidly than most people when left to it's own devices.

The only portion of her power Ginger has fully come to control and understand is growing her nails at will. With little to no thought, Ginger can extend her fingernails into clawlike structures, and naturally regulates their strength to something like zircon.

If Ginger wished, she could control the growth and strength of her own hair all over her body. With concentration and training, she could theoretically produce a hard armor all over created of hair. This aspect of Ginger's power is latent, theoretical, and not something she's at all interested in.

the dossier APPEARANCE: Ginger is beautiful and Nordic looking, slim and strong, blond and blue eyed. She has fine features and deepset eyes, and while she has a lovely smile, she tends to scowl or smirk or look bored and uninviting. Her clothing choices are Goodwill cum Trailer trash, denim and plaid shirts, with wife beaters and everything a bit too small. If she dresses up, it's skin tight and too short, and even if she shoots for elegant, she gets it wrong. When she wears makeup, there's too much and makes her look older than her 21 years. PERSONALITY: Rough and rude and ill mannered. A temper like a wrathful goddess. Violent. Stubborn. Sad and broken and sorry for herself, and rarely outwardly sympathetic to anyone else. Judgmental. Fierce.  A good drinking partner. A good partner in crime, literally or colloquially. Slow to make friends, quick to hold a grudge. Manipulative out of a sense of self-preservation. Prone to abusive situations. Inwardly broken, afraid, and desperate for a family and a quiet life. Secretly likes soft, girly things, relaxing days, and pampering scenarios: baths, soft towels, flowers, naps on warm days when a breeze comes through the window. Has a maternal side, but definitely not the mushy, sweet kind. Stuck in a cycle of abuse she's vaguely trying to escape. Has moderate PTSD HISTORY:

 REDNECK CANADIAN. Third child, oldest girl, one of eight (same father, three different mothers, and everyone lived in the same fucking trailer park.) Was expected to do a lot of parenting of the younger kids, and though nurturing wasn't natural to her, she wasn't about to let anyone sit in a diaper full of shit or go hungry because none of the parents could be counted on to be responsible. Grew up around drugs, guns, sex work, addiction, mild to moderate white supremacy bullshit.

Dropped out of school at 15, and didn't so much run away from home as sort of take up with a local boy in the park. He was 18, and she simply just started sleeping in his trailer instead of hers anymore. She still checked on the kids, and she wondered if her mother, any of her siblings' mothers, or her father even noticed she left. Shocker, her boyfriend was mildly abusive, a drug user, and a drug dealer. At 16 she was pregnant. She told no one, and got an abortion quietly, on her own.

At 17 she took off with a 28 year old heroin dealer, and tripped all the way across Canada to Vancouver. While stopped in the middle of logging country, her boyfriend left her alone with a(n obvious piece of shit) colleague of his, who attempted to assault her. Ginger's mutation triggered, and when she reached out to scratch his face, her nails grew into two inch talons, and she slashed open his face. She was shocked, for a moment, but a level of righteous rage rose in her and she tore out the man's throat. While freaked out, she was neither remorseful nor truly scared- she realized what she was pretty quickly and felt empowered. She was fortunate to be by a small river, and over the course of three hours, she managed to drag the body and push it into the water. When it was found, her DNA was washed away, and she and her boyfriend were well into British Columbia by then.

Between the ages of 17 and 20, Ginger had been involved in selling heroin, stripping, stealing car radios, and been involved with an attempted bank robbery. She was arrested, but acquitted of the robbery, but spent time in holding, and short stints in prison (totaling a year and a half), for a number of the other infractions. Her boyfriend, however, went away for ten years, and she saw none of him after his sentencing. She managed to sneak into the United States, and has backpacked across the country for the past year, getting to the East Coast. She managed to snag a job as a bartender in what is hands down Westchester's shittiest diviest bar.
