New Marshall Pics! (Season 9, Ep. 26)

It's been a while, but a new episode has finally aired. And hey, it's the final episode of season 9. Finally!

The first segment - "Charger Meets the Pups"

I haven't been watching the spinoff, so this is the first time I've ever seen Charger in action. Admittedly, I expected him to be a bit more reserved, but no doubt kids will be amused by his hyperactive personality. In any case, I was pleasantly surprised at first when this turned out to be an Ultimate Construction Rescue! But then... they only called out Rubble and Charger (Rocky and Zuma later helped). I was hoping to see the other pups in their UCR outfits again... ah well.

And the second segment - "Pups Save a Shiny Ride"

Hey, Marshall's on the title card again! Glad to see the latter half of season 9 finally started using him on them more. Sadly, he wasn't too involved in the mission (it was reserved for even more Rubble), despite how it seemed like the whole thing was perfectly set up for him and his water cannons to help right away. Still, I'd argue it's the better of the two segments anyway, since everyone got to help out in the end.

And thus, season 9 comes to a close. I'll just say, I'm glad others enjoyed it far more than I did, and I'll leave it at that. In any case, onward to bigger and better things in season 10!

The harrison houde era of finding stuff out is lost media,

In 2012, edward kay and johnathan finkelstein alongside the canadian channel tvo (alongside apartment 11 productions) created finding stuff out for tvo’s block, tvokids, the show was hosted by youtube/actor harrison houde, and it followed harrison answering kids questions, (and in only season 1, his friend/neighbor sydney kuhnne would go to places themed bout the question,) the show did pretty well, as it got a mobile app, got nominated for children or youth non-fiction program at the 1st canadian screen awards (losing to kids cbc’s artzooka) and aired on discovery kids in asia and qubo in america, (before it got shut down) it also aired on the other canadian kids block knowledge: kids, however, at the end of season 3, harrison left the show, due to him working on ytv’s sitcom some assembly required, (he was the character bowie sherman,) in season 4, he was replaced by zoey sieward, on tvokids’s youtube channel, u can find episodes of season 4/5 of FSO, but not season 1-3, the era is on 9 story’s utube…but its blocked in canada, the country where the show originally aired!! Theres almost no vids of this era, (not even on archive.org!) aside from 2 promos, 1 uploaded by discovery kids asia, and 1 uploaded by tvo’s utube channel, if anyone recorded tvokids from 2012-2014, (the timeframe of the first 3 seasons airing) plz upload them to either utube or the internet archive, as i feel lik canadian media is awesome, and we shouldn't let it become lost media.

Hee-Hawesome Fact #5: TVO Kids, infamous for leaking episodes of shows such as Wild Kratts and Odd Squad, has also done the same with Donkey Hodie. Sometime in 2022, A Donkey Hodie Halloween, Snow Day, and Snow Surprise Challenge were aired on the channel, and in September 29th, 2022, the Halloween special and Snow Surprise Challenge were uploaded to YouTube without region locks, leaking the episodes worldwide. The episodes would remain like this for a few days before the issue was resolved.

We now have an official press release for Season 4 of Odd Squad! Includes a teaser image of our two new main characters.

Key points:

Will be known as "Odd Squad UK" the same way Season 3 was referred to as "Odd Squad Mobile Unit"

A joint production between Sinking Ship Entertainment and BBC Studios Kids and Family, along with PBS Kids, TVO Kids, CBBC and SRC

Unknown if Netflix still has involvement in the season

12 half-hour episodes (24 11-minute ones)

Premiering sometime in 2024

Created due to Odd Squad being extremely popular in the UK

Billed as a "new format" but it's quite clear that this article views it as a spinoff; whether it actually is one depends on the prodco or network

Will be distributed in the US by FRP and distributed elsewhere by SSE

New Marshall Pics! (Season 10, Ep.26)

I know some of you have already seen this one, due to it leaking about a month ago. I decided to wait for it to air on TV, and luckily, it finally did so on TVOkids today. Thus, I've got some new pictures to share!

Season 10's "Rescue Wheels: Pups vs. The Monster Mayor"

Marshall's on the title card, but don't let that fool you. He was barely present, and he only did one thing near the ending. I'm glad he got something, but it was yet another instance where he was needlessly restricted so he wouldn't succeed completely. Once again, this pup deserves way better than what this franchise gives him anymore...

As for the episode, itself... I don't know, I didn't care for it. At one point, Boomer started moving buildings like they barely had any weight to them, Skye's dinky helicopter later lifted up city hall like it was nothing... it just got pretty ridiculous. The same's pretty much true when Roxi had to be rescued, too. And as always, Chase and Skye were first responders, so... *shrugs*.

On the plus side, Zuma was also a first responder and got plenty to do here, so that was good to see. Boomer is proving to be an entertaining villain so far, and he was easily the highlight of the episode. I'm starting to get the feeling that, much like Claw, I'm really going to miss him once the subseries comes to an end. Also, I liked Mayor Humdinger's role near the end of the cartoon (Helga always seems to bring out his better side, which is nice).

That's all I've got. Yeah, sorry I wasn't too positive. Hopefully you'll all enjoy it more than I did. In any case, there are more Rescue Wheels episodes coming, but I've no idea when I'll get to see those yet, so I'll get to post more new Marshall pics in due time.

Holy YTV has barely anything anymore and that's including reruns they only have like 15 shows right now.

They're supposed to be airing YGO Sevens at some point which is interesting because they haven't touched the franchise since Zexal. They should never have gotten rid of Crunch

And in comparison TVOKids has over 20 original and commisioned shows currently airing a lot of them recent and that's just one section. It's probably anywhere between 30 and 40 shows currently being aired whether a rerun or ongoing series

Both of these channels are Canadian one is public broadcasting like CBC and then there's YTV

I would die for TVOKids which is the kids section of TVO but I watched it right up until we stopped really getting TV which would be like 2015. I was in highschool watching kids programming. I'd get home from school and just chill watch zerby derby and babar(not to brag but I watched Paw Patrol before it was cool) It's also ad free because I think it's government funded

TVOKids would end at like 5 or 6 and then the adult programs would come on and I would still be sitting there watching

I love TVOKids and it has always been and always will be superior to YTV. CBC mornings is a close second which is when they air the cartoons and CBC gave me the Doodlebops

And TVOKids has Polkaroo who is older than YTV which makes TVO as a whole older than YTV

I have gained a lot of hate for YTV after turning it off for months and turning it back on and it would always be the same episode playing as when I turned it off

They did it with Power Rangers Super Megaforce I never knew about the hiatus as a kid but I didn't mind watching repeats what I hated was them playing episodes 1-7 and never 8 they would never touch the last episode aired for some reason

And Spongebob probably the only reason they still exist they would always play the exact same episode yeah they played other episodes but it seemed like they would always air one episode in particular more than any other and thank god I don't remember what it was

I have a lot of opinions about childrens programming

TV channels do know it's okay to re air older shows right just make some deals and bring Elliot Moose back to TV no new episodes needed
