As promised, the final two chapters of Tano and Kenobi are INCOMING!

As the Sith lair is currently hosting the Elder Sith Parents and the last two chapters are monster whoppers at basically 13K a piece, that still need to be edited *sob*, Tano and Kenobi will update today and tomorrow... at some point.

Chapter 39 will update some time later tonight and Chapter 40 will update sometime tomorrow.

Hi everyone! The prompt list will be posted here this Friday, April 23rd! As we prepare for the big reveal, let me answer some FAQ's you might have!

Will there be any alternate prompts?

Yes! In addition to the seven daily prompts, I will be posting three additional prompts just in case.

Do I have to do something for every single day?

Not at all! You can do all of them or just a few, even one if you want!

What about the schedule? Do I have to post within the week?

Nope! Don't post anything before the start date, but I will be checking the tag until the end of June so you have some extra time if you need it. If you come in late or if you missed it, don't worry! I should see it as long as you post within June!

Is this only for fics?

Certainly not! I'm choosing these prompts carefully and attempting to cater towards all content creation. This challenge is open not only to fic authors, but artists, editors, and other content creators too!

Can I include other characters besides Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka?

You can, but it should be focused on the trio. This challenge is to celebrate them, after all! However, they do have a lot of cool friends and every great trio needs some supporting buddies! If you find yourself putting in characters to support the trio, that's perfectly fine!

What if I only include two of them?

The focus should be on the whole trio, however, if you've filled the prompt, I will gladly accept something about only two! Aim for all three, but if you end up with something like Obi-Wan and Ahsoka bonding over their salt for how messy Anakin keeps his living space, I'd count it!

Important Information

Rules:

I am a minor. As such, smut can not be requested and can not be written. As a compromise, smutty themes can be used as overtones or undertones, often vaguely or simply eluded to. But pure smut? Not for a few months, which is when I’ll be 18. Sorry horndogs.

Please request through the submission inbox, or my direct messages. Further more, be polite. Be clear. If I ask a question to clear something up, answer it. Don’t let it dangle. I will always ask if there’s anything else you so desire (a word count, any details) so please tell me if there’s nothing else or if there is. English is also not my first language.

Do not request something against canon. I have written like that before and did not enjoy that. This means if something is considered canon, say Star Wars, such as a line of dialogue or something shown on screen, I would refuse to write you into it. I feel that it distorts the fiction so much you wouldn’t really be in it, and the characters wouldn’t be themselves anymore. Allow me to write you into the world as a side character, as something not shown directly but something that could fit into canon.

Some fictional characters have different versions of them. For example, Movie Anakin Skywalker, and the Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker. Ben Affleck Batman, or Christian Bale Batman? Or even, Comic Accurate Batman? Specify for me. If not specified after asking for it, I will write the character with headcanon information pulled from multiple ‘canon’ sources. This will be referred to as ‘headcanoned canon’.

Reblog my stuff? Absolutely. I see all my reblogs. But take it an post it to a different site? No. Don’t do that. Maybe I’ll spread over to Ao3 one day, but for now, please don’t.

Last one I can think of for now. But luckily this can be updated over time. I don’t write drabbles. I know! But just imagine all the times you’ve read a fic so good, only for it to end so soon. I like the thought of writing something both high quality and high quantity, which means I won’t be satisfied with anything under 2,000 words. Unfortunately, this may sometimes come at the expense of time. Especially if what you requested doesn’t fit into my current hyperfixation.

What You Can Expect From Me:

Fanfiction

Headcanons- While I’d consider all of my fanfiction headcanons, I’m referring to those little bullet point things you’ll see writers do. Here’s my deal on that. I won’t do romantic headcanons for the characters listed above. By that I mean you won’t see anything titled, “How Poe Dameron Would Cuddle”, or anything of that sort. But you probably will see just my own little headcanons for fun. Like, little fun facts. You know, “Superman’s favorite food is ____”, “Nines hates rats”.

However, I will write romantic headcanons for my OC’s. But that’s for later.

Further regarding fanfiction, I typically write angst. Not sure why, it’s just what I started with because I thought the plots were strongest and I wanted to see where I could take it. Like I said, no smut, but you’ll find allusions to it. Fluff? Yeah, it’s there. Hard for me to write fluff without a plot, but it does exist on my page.

Original Stories

Most people ignore this, but if you see that I’ve posted it won’t always be something regarding your favorite character. I write my own little stories that’s basically just glorified, book length headcanons for a few worlds, but mostly the Star Wars galaxy. Don’t worry, there’s no need to pay attention to it if you don’t want. It’s something I do in my spare time besides x readers and oneshots.

Spontaneous Posting

What I mean by this, is that unlike a lot of writers, I don’t work on a schedule. There’s no “once a week posting”, or anything like that. What I finish and give the okay to, is posted. If you’ve requested something, I’ll let you know that it’s about to go out. So sometimes a burst of fics may be pumped out in a week, or none will for up to a month.

Going by EST, I typically am most active at night and early morning. Especially in the summer. During fall this may change.

I rarely put out a post that is unrelated to my writings. If it is related to my personal life instead, it will be posted, but not saved. Documented and available, but never pinned or anything.

FAQ:

Do you write queer pairings?

Yes. My earlier works usually elude to a female reader and it’s blaringly obvious, though it’s shifting into androgyny for ease of reader. I would prefer to have an androgynous reader instead of a set in stone male or female one.

Am I reading a queer fanfic written by a straight person?

You are not. I am androgynous myself in terms of gender and unlabeled in terms of sexuality.

Do you write for poc?

This question shocks me, though I’ve gotten it twice. Then I realized- it’s because so many writers forget the point of a reader. The reader may be described as blonde, or white, or thin, or female. You will not find that here. There will be no set in stone appearance for the reader except for mentions of whatever hair you may possess (apologies to those without hair). There will be no talk of ‘light skin’, or ‘curvy figure’. The farthest I’ll go is describing you as pale, if say, you were sick. Because any race or skin tone can go pale, you know? The only thing I’d do- rarely- is give you a real age. But only to further the plot if needed.

My point is, ‘Y/N’ is not just a pretty white person with long hair. It’s inclusive to anyone. I’ll stand by that.

Do you write headcanons?

Answered in the above section. Long story short, I’m working on it, but on my terms.

Do you write song fics?

I haven’t before. Why? They make me cringe. I don’t know why. I’ll write a fic based on a song, or with undertones of a song. But those little paragraphs with the lyrics that aren’t even in time with what you’re reading if you were to read and listen at the same time? I don’t think so.

Do you know what sex is?

I do.

Will you have e-sex with me in the direct message chatbox?

I will not.

Why do you write on tumblr?

I started writing just to share an old word document with over 300 pages worth of an Original Star Wars story. I tried my hand at fanfiction because, while I don’t read it often myself, I know a lot of people do. It helps them escape reality. And, I’m a pretty good writer, I think. At least I can only get better. I’m just one more person trying to put something out for people to enjoy, and maybe even rely on.

Will you ever write for real people?

If I ever wrote a fanfiction about Christian Bale or like Barack Obama I think I would just disappear. I can’t do it. It’s like warping my own reality.

How often do you post?

I don’t know.

Do you have a taglist?

I did! But only for Star Wars. If you want to be tagged in something, let me know. But you have to be specific. Just for a certain character? For a certain fandom? A certain plot? Just og stories? Be clear.

Dynamics I Enjoy Writing:

Man simps for person who almost wants nothing to do with them.

Hero simps for villain or villain simps for hero despite the obvious consequences.

Two jokesters destroy some area while left alone together. May get along better than they would admit.

Two people who are not expected to get along, get along well.

Hero and villain are best friends but won’t admit it.

Basically if I’m left to my own mind most of my fics will fall under one of these dynamics. Not always- definitely not always. But I kinda like them.

Hello Nony! I hope you’re having a lovely Sunday and you have some enjoyable plans for the upcoming new years. Lily and I will be hopefully going to bed early and sleeping through the bombardment of fireworks that is an annual tradition in the Great State of Texas(tm). Fingers crossed, y’all.

But to answer your question, no, there are no plans to introduce a baby Ahsoka in Tano and Kenobi. Baby Anakin is trouble enough. Adorable trouble, but still, that little bundle of curls and giggles is going to makes someone go prematurely grey. I am looking at you Obi-Wan. Oooo! Silver Fox Obi-Wan!

As I’ve said in the past, as far as the Force is concerned, Ahsoka already exists in the time line now. There is no reason to bring her into being when she’s already there.

This doesn’t mean Ahsoka won’t be having awkward conversations with Plo Koon. I’m sure a LOT of her conversations with the Jedi Council members and older Jedi she looked up to in her youth are awkward for Ahsoka but this is one conversation you will have to imagine for yourself. ^____~

An Update On That Fic I Write...

I just wanted to let y’all know that I’ve finished chapter 39 and started chapter 40, which will bring a close to Season Three of Tano and Kenobi. My plan is to have it done and both chapters edited before a random date I have chosen for reasons that pertains only to myself Christmas. I’m about 2K into Chapter 40, which is coming much faster than 39 for angst-riddled reasons I won’t go into because it’s boring you’ll find out when you read it.

I want to thank everyone again for their understanding and patience with the end of this chapter. This has been a hard year for me and @writegowrite your kind words and support have been a wonderful light in the midst of dark and difficult time.

Hello Nony! How’s your Sunday treating you? Thanks for stopping by and asking a question!

So... the Duel for Obi-Wan Kenobi a.k.a. That Thing Qui-Gon Really Needs to Talk to a Therapist About.

I listened to Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes SOOOO MUCH as I was writing that scene. SOOO MUCH. I think I’m still kind of burnt out on those songs. I try to find songs that put me in the right mood or songs that spark the image I need to start writing and so I figured, why mess with a good thing? I also listened to Hope from the Rogue One soundtrack too. I needed all the help from the lightsaber gods I could get. XD

I didn’t start Tano and Kenobi out with the intention of contrasting Ahsoka and Qui-Gon but try as I might, the plot and his own actions demanded that he take more of a central position that I intended. I really intended for him to just vanish into the background, no doubt dying heroically in a mission in a throwaway sentence later.

Sadly, Qui-Gon refused to do what I told him to and now he’s waxing poetic about how put-upon he is and having visions of his impending doom and interpreting them incorrectly. THE RED AND BLACK MAN IS BAD QUI-GON. HAVING VISIONS OF HIM IS NOT A THING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT.

As for the duel itself, I wanted to make sure I didn’t shortchange either duelist and I was torn over who would really win. On one hand, Ahsoka’s younger, probably faster and certainly more creative in her combat style. She’s been trained by Yoda, Anakin and Obi-Wan and she’s also been on her own for a long time. The novelty of her fighting style should throw Qui-Gon for a loop and Anakin and Obi-Wan were no slouches in the training department.

On the other hand, while Qui-Gon is older and a bit slower than Ahsoka, Qui-Gon is HUGE and it’s the sheer size of him gives him an advantage in strength, reach and the absolute surprise of seeing a giant of a man flipping around with help from the Force. He’s probably at the height of his skill and prowess and it’s been a long time since Ahsoka has had to face someone who’s a true master of lightsaber combat.

But the thing I really wanted to show was that Ahsoka and Obi-Wan are already a team. Even if it’s Ahsoka doing the fighting, Obi-Wan has her back. They want to be together. Mace and Yoda want them to be together. The Force wants them to be together. It isn’t so much that Ahsoka beat Qui-Gon as Ahsoka and Obi-Wan beat Qui-Gon because without Obi-Wan pointing out the forgotten saber on the edge of the dueling ground, Ahsoka wasn’t going to last much longer.

So that’s my commentary track for Ahsoka and Qui-Gon duel in Season One. Thank you for visiting Nony!

Updates from the Sith Lair and Tano and Kenobi

Good afternoon, my lovelies! Tis I, your friendly neighborhood Sith Lord, Auntie Fishy.

I wanted to update you on the last two chapters of Season Three of Tano and Kenobi and let you all know how it’s going to work.

I plan on updating chapter 39 and chapter 40 (Good Grief we’re up to forty already???) at the same time, which means there will be less wait time for the season’s resolutions for you, my dear readers, but there will be a longer wait time for the update.

Does that makes sense? I hope it does. ^____^;;

I don’t know when the update will be finished because I have two chapters to finish and edit and they both involve a lot of complex emotions. I really want to make sure I give Ahsoka and Obi-Wan’s reunion the care and attention it deserves and that means a longer writing and editing period for me.

Another reason that I don’t have a firm timeline on when I’ll be finished is that @writegowrite‘s health has taken a few steps back and we’re working on helping her recover from that. Learning how to manage epilepsy is a marathon, not a sprint, and we just started this race.

I know you’re all anxious to find out what happens and trust me, I am too. I’m looking forward to Ahsoka and Obi-Wan’s reunion and the upcoming seasons because we are about to venture into a brave new world.

Hey!!! Will Feemor appear in T&K? If so, what would his relationship to Ashoka and Obi wan be???

Good evening Nony! (or Morning if you are on the other side of the world and if so, please enjoy a hearty breakfast!)

I don’t know if Feemor will appear or not. Ahsoka doesn’t know who he is so she has no real reason to seek him out. I might have him in the background or get mentioned in passing, in relation to Qui-Gon, but I don’t have a natural way to bring him into the story. Ahsoka knows so little about Master Obi-Wan’s youth at the Temple, no doubt because Anakin never thought to pass it on and she never had a reason or a chance to ask Obi-Wan herself.

It’s not like she could go up to him and say, “Master Obi-Wan? I’m going to travel back in time and take you as my padawan learner after a horrible future where Anakin falls and becomes Darth Vader and murders a metric %$*%-ton of Jedi. Could you give me a detailed autobiography of your life and also tell me WTH is wrong with Qui-Gon?”

Master Obi-Wan: *blink blink* Ahsoka? Have you come down with the Telladorian flu again?

But if you’re a Feemor fan, Elfpen’s Reprise has a lovely Feemor and his adorable padawan Aola.

Hello Nony!

Allow me to help settle your mind for you. I do not ship Ahsoka with anyone in Tano and Kenobi. There is no romance subplot planned for Ahsoka. She doesn’t have time and there’s no one I can see her falling in love with. I have a hard time seeing Ahsoka in romantic relationships to begin with and throwing her back in time just makes it more difficult. If you’re concerned that your dedication to your Ahsoka ship will keep you from enjoying Tano and Kenobi, rest assured that there is no shipping of our favorite Togruta.

Except maybe with ice cream… Ahsoka/Ice cream seems like a good ship. And it will go well with Obi-Wan/Naps and Anakin/His Mom Not Dying.

There you are Nony! The only official pairings in Tano and Kenobi. I hope that cleared up some confusion and eased your mind. :D

Good evening Nony! How was your day? Good, I’m hoping!

Just in case you weren’t in the loop, @writegowrite and I have been involved in a long and drawn out process of moving to a new place. We call it the Death Star because we are nerds and Sith Lords. And not because we are planning on spending outrageous amounts of money on it only to let Anakin’s sprog blow it sky-high thanks to some Force Ghost Kenobi peptalk shenanigans. If anybody is going to bow up our house it’s going to be one of the cats because that’s how Ziva and Thorin roll.

Due to a combination of her ongoing medical issues and my long commute and the inherent messiness that moving is heir to, the next update for Tano and Kenobi has been postponed to next Sunday, February 17th at 6:00 pm CST.

I really appreciate everyone’s kind words and comments during this nightmare move. It’s meant a lot to me and to Lily, especially since we’ve had to work on top of schlepping boxes back and forth in unseasonably cold weather and hail. Yes, you read that right. HAIL.

I was wondering if the new season of TCW is going to affect the new season of Tano and Kenobi? Like is Maul gonna play a bigger role if he had one at all? I mean like in backstory or appearing with the burning man?

Hello there! This is an excellent question and gives me a chance to define a little more clearly what parts of Star Wars I’m working from.

Canon for Tano and Kenobi consists of the following:

The Phantom Menace

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

The Clone Wars Seasons 1 through 6

The general arc of Ahsoka’s appearances in Rebels up to and including Twilight of the Apprentice but nothing after that.

I started Tano and Kenobi before Rebels was finished and Ezra went full Time Lord on us to save Ahsoka from Darth I-Cry-And-Make-Bad-Life-Choices Vader. I am curious to see what becomes of Ahsoka the White and how Filoni choses to bring her story to a close.

The Original Trilogy, i.e. A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi

While Ahsoka doesn’t know this is all going to happen, this IS what happened in the timeline she left behind.

Because the full story arc of Tano and Kenobi was planned out before we knew Season 7 was going to come back, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to include it in my story. You may see references here or there but it’s not canon in the same way Seasons 1 through 6 are.

Generally speaking, when it comes to Ahsoka’s back story, I’ve tried to stay roughly in the same neighborhood of what Dave Filoni said in the Ahsoka’s Untold Tales Panel from back in 2016. That being said Padawan Obi-Wan is both amazed and horrified at how bad ass and dangerous his master is being in the last episodes of the Clone Wars. He would really like her to stop fighting Sith Lords in dangerous places where she could theoretically plummet to her death.

I can promise you that Maul was already scheduled to be a part of Tano and Kenobi and we should be seeing him sooner rather that later. His roll in the story remains unchanged but I may give him more dialogue.

Also, while I have borrowed some concepts from the Jedi Apprentice series, namely the threat of Bandomeer and Qui-Gon’s initial rejection of Obi-Wan’s request for training, that’s all I have planned to include. Since the story’s main focus is on Ahsoka and Obi-Wan, I would rather focus on characters they both have some kind of relationship with, i.e. Obi-Wan’s Future Fabulous Masters of the Jedi Order Squad, the Kryze sisters and the Ohnakas. Because I brought that flamboyant woman to life and I can’t just leave her to languish in just one fic. This bejeweled lady needs screentime!
