Brunch Trattoria & Bar, Pinsk, Belarus : Review

Embarking on a culinary escapade, my wife and I chanced upon Brunch Trattoria & Bar on Lenina Street 31/1 in Pinsk, Belarus. Settling at a table meant for four, we delved into the menu offerings – hers in Russian, mine in English – and discovered an impressive variety of choices.

For our midday meal, my wife relished the Potato Waffles adorned with chicken fillet julienne and cheddar cheese, while I opted for the Beef Burger accompanied by fries. The dishes tantalised our taste buds, although I found the burger's top bun a tad too thick for my liking. However, the burger patty itself was succulent and thoroughly enjoyable. In true Belarusian fashion, a pair of latex gloves was provided with the burger, but I believe the tactile experience of eating with hands enhances the burger's delight.

I washed down my burger with a classic Coke – a pairing that never fails, while my wife sipped on two glasses of white wine throughout our lunch. Our fries were a crispy perfection and the Potato Waffles were equally delectable.

For dessert, we shared a slice of San Sebastian cheesecake topped with caramel and hazelnuts. I personally skimmed off the caramel for its sweetness, yet the dessert was a hit between us.

The service was commendable, with the young staff being both attentive and meticulous. The entire meal was remarkably affordable at 85 Belarusian rubles (USD$25, GBP£21, Euro24), and we happily left a 10 BY ruble tip for the excellent service. The restaurant's interior was modern and pristine, with polished hardwood tables and comfortably chic grey chairs reminiscent of the '70s.

Will we return? Absolutely – plans are already afoot to revisit this weekend, with the beef tenderloin steak firmly in my sights. I'll eagerly report back on that encounter.

In summary, Brunch Trattoria & Bar in Pinsk stands out for its fantastic fare and stellar service. It comes highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in the area.
