Meet Abasi, a khenra warrior from Amonkeht
On Amonkhet, khenra are typically born as twins. Abasi was presumed to have absorbed his twin in the womb and was born an only child. He was deemed a true warrior for defeating his twin in the womb.
As most inhabitants of Amonkhet before the Hours, Abasi was utterly devoted to the Trials. He thought of nothing but training, partaking in the Trials to prove his worthiness, and then dying at the hands of his god. Then came the Hours. All Abasi had learned over the years ended up being a lie. The god pharaoh came to destroy and reap his reward. The shock ignited Abasi’s spark and he planeswalked away for the first time.
Without the gods to devote his time and energy to, Abasi realized he had missed out on a lot. He finally took the time to indulge in pastimes he never dreamed of, ate too much, slept too much, everything in excess. Money was a concept he never heard of and quickly desired it. He took on odd jobs as hired muscle. Never once has Abasi considered returning home to Amonkhet. He wants to see what the multiverse has in store for him

Yes, I do traditional art too. It’s horribly sketchy and unpolished, but here you go.
I was stricken with inspiration from an ongoing RP with @terekusart / @terezopyrope between my snowbender Kinrai (the one in the hat) and his airbender Raomong (the bald one) from the Avatar: The Last Airbender world. Same guys from this pic. That RP setting is from my other blog, for those of you who are curious. That blog’s a real work in progress; don’t hate!
Basically the picture presents two timelines; one where Kinrai gets huge and one where Raomong does. Then there’s the possibility of them both winding up enormous. Only one will be canon.
It’s only in a few of the pics, but the two of them are quite fond of purple honey; a substance I made up specifically for the Avatar world that packs on the pounds pretty fast. Basically it’s my excuse to explore rapid WG with my Avatar OCs, because why not?
The guy with the goatee is Gampo, my character who kind of inspires Raomong to gain weight. He’s one of my fattest characters by default, except when WG shenanigans are at play. He’s not romantically involved with the other two, but he’s excited because he likes shipping people who he thinks make cute couples- including Kinrai and Raomong.
#my art#so much pudge#and nifty tattoos#and no#i don't know what the 'tie' is for#maybe a wg contest#idk#terekusart#terezopyrope#oc gampo#oc kinrai

Meet Zuberi, a khenra assassin from Amonkhet.
Zuberi is the younger twin of Abasi. Bontu sensed something unique about the pair while they were in the womb and stole Zuberi away in secrecy, giving the impression Abasi defeated his twin in the womb.
Instructed in the way of mummification, Zuberi ascended quickly through the rank of priests until he reached vizier. He was one of Bontu’s personal attendees and would aid in her Trial. It was thanks to this that he witnessed his twin brother succeed in the Trial. He knew there was something different about Abasi but he couldn’t lay a finger on it.
When the hour of Devastation took place, Zuberi witnessed his god brutally murdered at the hands of the god Pharaoh. His mixture of hate and despair ignited his spark and he ended up on Kaladesh. In time he became a member of the Dhund but images of the other khenra kept resurfacing. Eventually he would track down the other khenra and realize he had a brother all this time.

Meet Hassan, a Naga Warrior from Amonkhet.
Hassan is a self centered fighter who was the leader of his crop. He loved the attention and praises he received. His selfish and braggart attitude after the Hour of Devastation masks the pain and trauma he’s gone through. Hassan became Ramil’s personal body guard even though the cleric tried his utmost to ignore the naga’s antics.

Magic Monday
Meet Ramil, a human cleric on Amonkhet.
Ramil was a priest of Bontu, the crocodile headed god of ambition on Amonkhet. He aided the god in purifying and removing the vital organs during the mummification process. After seeing many familiar faces on his ceremonial slab he quickly closed off his heart. He became as cold and as hard as the lazotep used to seal the restless dead before the Hour of Destruction.
Upon seeing Bontu die at the hands of the God-Emperor, Ramil wanted to forsake the gods but still felt… obligated to carry out Bontu’s task of mummification. He wouldn’t rest until every zombie was properly mummified or reduced to ash on the wind. Now he wanders the remnants of Naktamun in search of those who remain while providing the survivors what ever supplies he can find.

Magic Monday
Everyone, we’d like you all to meet Mercurius. He is a human wizard from the Shard of Esper on Alara. From an early age Mercurius exhibited an innate ability to control and mold etherium. When he came of age he was allowed to join the Ethersworn in their progress of the Noble Work. After a year with the organization Mercurius was granted an etherium heart for his attention to detail and the intricate designs he created.
Everything was going Mercurius’ way. With a slight control freak personality he reveled in his ability to mold the very world around him in the way he desired. When the Conflux occurred, Mercurius wasn’t prepared for the Shards to overlap and undo his work. This stress and defeat ignited his planeswalker spark and he traveled to Eldraine.
While there he meets a wide eyed merfolk with a fascination for human ‘artifacts’. Seeing the strange new world he was now a part of through the merfolk’s eyes woke something up inside Mercurius. He came to the realization that he can’t control everything and needs to accept the good with the bad.
