3D-Modell und 360° VR Tour Pumptrack Toggenburg in Wildhaus SG

Um den Webauftritt des Pumptracks Toggenburg in Wildhaus mittels Arbeitssponsoring zu unterstützen, wurden ein 3D-Modell sowie eine 360° virtuelle Tour erstellt. Mit einer Vermessungsdrohne wurde der Pumptrack beflogen und Vertikal- sowie Schrägaufnahmen erfasst. Aus den Luftbildern wurde ein 3D-Modell berechnet und für die Integration in die Webseite des Pumptracks bereitgestellt. Zusätzlich wurden mit einem Panoramakopf (Nodalpunktadapter) und einer DSLR-Kamera mit Fisheye-Objektiv 360° Kugelpanoramen erfasst. Insgesamt 5 Kugelpanoramen wurden als virtuelle Tour (VR Tour) fürs Web aufbereitet.

From the Lost Abbaye to Mirkwood

I love the Lost Abbaye board but it has a major drawback, the playing area is way too small for anything other than small skirmish games. It’s made of 6 square modules of 1 x 1 ft (30 x 30 cm). In this project, I decided to add three modules to make it a 3 x 3 ft (90 x 90 cm) playing area.

Here is the step-by-step guide on how I built and painted this extension over one week-end.

1. Wood frame and basic topography

After gluing the MDF frame together, I cut a few pieces of styrofoam to make the basic topography.

2. Rough Paste

To smooth the transition between the block of styrofoam I covered it with rough paste. After drying it becomes rock hard and it also helps to protect the styrofoam when painting with spray can.

3. Sand and gravel

To finish texturing the surface, I added sand and gravel, glued with diluted PVA.

4. Priming

The secret for this project to fit over a week-end was to use spray can for painting. But as you know the solvent used in spray can will dissolve styrofoam. So before painting, I used a special primer from Montana Colors to protect the styrofoam.

I enjoyed a lot how fast and smoothly this project went. I find working on nature terrain way more relaxing than urban terrain. I should focus more on this and it already makes me want to extend this modular board deeper into Mirkwood territory.

Digitales Geländemodell aus kombinierten Messmethoden in Eichberg SG 2017

In Eichberg SG musste für ein grösseres Anwesen über mehrere Grundstücke an Berghanglage ein digitales Geländemodell (DGM) erstellt werden. Mittels Drohnenvermessung (Photogrammetrie / Luftbildvermessung) wurden die Grundlagedaten erfasst und berechnet. Da gewisse interessierende Bereiche durch Vegetation verdeckt waren, wurden mit einer ferngesteuerten Totalstation ergänzende Terrainaufnahmen durchgeführt. In die Berechnung des DGM sind die Daten aus Drohnenvermessung und terrestrische Ergänzungsmessungen gemeinsam eingeflossen.

Höhenanalyse Marbacher Isenriet

Zur Analyse der Bodenverbesserungsmassnahmen im Marbacher Isenriet wurde ein Gebiet von ca. 13.5ha mit einer Vermessungsdrohne beflogen. Aus den Luftbildern konnten die aktuellen Höhen flächendeckend berechnet werden. Im Vergleich zu den vor 5 Jahren erhobenen Höhendaten konnten die Höhenveränderungen über das gesamte Gebiet berechnet und visualisiert werden.

Digitales Terrainmodell für Analyse Überflutungsgebiet

Für die Analyse eines potentiellen Überflutungsgebietes von einem Gebirgsbach wurde ein genaues Terrainmodell benötigt. Über eine Fläche von 40ha wurde eine Vermessungsdrohne losgeschickt, um das Gelände zu kartieren. Aus den Bilddaten konnte die Geländeoberfläche für die Wasserabflussanalyse berechnet werden.
