I would like to know more about Blue Angel Bradley.

Finally someone asked about this!!!! I found the idea notes for the first time in about a year when I was looking through my wips for the tag game!!

So in this au Bradley is an aviator while Jake is a nurse (specifically he’s an ER nurse but he volunteers to work at medical tents at airshows that come to San Diego). Also Goose lives (I love this man too much to kill him in most of my aus) but Carole doesn’t.

Now because I can’t completely ignore cannon, Carole does ask Mav to keep Bradley out of the Navy and to not tell Goose that she asked this of him. But Mav, loves his godson and his brother too much to go through with it. Goose knows that while his wife never really said anything, she wasn’t a fan of him being a fighter pilot or of him flying in general. Carole had a fear of flying but unfortunately she loved men who loved the sky and had a son who loved it just as much. While Goose respects his wife, he isn’t gonna let her dying wish ruin his son’s life just because she wasn’t scared.

Bradley does go to the academy and he does go to flight school but he chooses to focus on flying demonstrations and educating people about the navy and naval aviation. Him and his dads (he considers mav his second dad) set down before he went to the academy where his dads told him about his mom’s dying wish. Bradley was around 13 or so when she died. They came up with him flying demo as a way for him to keep his flying dreams and to keep him from flying combat as like a way to respect his mom’s wish for him to stay out of dangerous situations. Carole’s thought was that flying was dangerous so that by not letting him fly he would stay out of danger.

So Bradley and ER nurse Jake would meet pre blue angel show in San Diego when Bradley manages to cut himself and no has a band-aid so he has to go the first aid tent. That is where he meets the pretty blonde nurse who he flirts with while Jake gives him a band-aid cause while Bradley might be a Blue Angel there’s a real Angel in the medical tent or that’s what he tells Phoenix when he gets back to the planes. Of course when Phoenix asks for the Angel’s name Bradley realizes he didn’t ask and didn’t think to look to see if the man had a name tag cause Bradley was too busy looking into Jake’s eyes or at his ass.

For her first trip outside of Velaris in years, Elain's visit to the Day Court was going rather well. She had tagged along with Mor, who was attending a trading summit in the court's capital city. Helion had provided sleeping accommodations for both of them within in the high lord's palace grounds, and before slipping away for business matters that afternoon, Mor had informed Elain of a few known spots on the grounds that might be worth exploring at her leisure.

One of those spots was the stables, which Elain had heard housed the Day Court's pegasi, and she was absolutely dying to see one.

As she approached the paddock area, she noticed a faerie leaned back in a wooden chair, seemingly dead asleep if the snores escaping his open mouth were an indication. Looking around she saw no other conscious stable-hand that may be able to help her, but her search was cut short when she spotted the beautiful ebony creatures on the far side of the paddock.

They were giant. Much larger than any horse Elain had ever seen in the human lands, and though their feathered wings were neatly tucked at their sides as they grazed, it was clear the span of them were at least twice that of the Illryans. Elain approached the edge of the fence where one pegasus had lifted it's head from the ground and was now looking at her. She smiled at the creature and leaned against the fence, hesitantly reaching her palm out towards it, the pegasus huffed and cocked its head slightly.

"Hello there-"

"Biscuit."

Elain gasped and whirled around at the deep voice coming from just feet behind her. Standing there was Lucien Vanserra, looking casually put-together in brown trousers with a white shirt half-hazardly tucked into them, sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Elain opened her mouth, then closed it, not quite sure what to say to the male that she had not seen in months.

"Her name is Biscuit. The pegasus." Lucien nodded behind Elain's head as he approached her side by the fence.

"Oh." Was all Elain could think to say.

Lucien chuckled, slipping his hand into his pocket and pulling out a folded cloth. Unwrapping the material, he revealed several rather drab-looking cookies. She heard a snort to her side and looked over as the Pegasus, Biscuit, who was clearly now interested, padding over to the edge of the fence. Her long nose curiously leaned over the barrier and nudged at Lucien's arm, he laughed again. "And I am sure you can now image why that is her name."

Elain smiled timidly, watching Biscuit's nostrils twitch and snuff against Lucien's arm impatiently. "Would you like to give her one?" Her eyes shot up to Lucien's inquisitive stare.

"Oh- I- well, alright. Yes." Had she forgotten how to string words together in a sentence like a normal person?

"Here you are. Just hold them out, with your palm up- flat, yes. Just like that." Lucien placed a cookie in Elain's outstretched hand. Biscuit's head followed the cooke all the way to Elain's palm and bowed her head to gobble it up. Elain let out a nervous giggle at the slight tickling sensation, and then laughed fully as Biscuit continued gently nipping at her palm as if there was a secret-invisible additional cookie that was still there.

Elain was still laughing to herself when she heard Lucien speak again, "Lady, are you alright?" She turned her gaze to his slightly concerned one, that was fixed on her still outstretched hand that Biscuit was now ignoring in favor of sniffing Lucien's pocket. "Your hands are shaking."

She hadn't even realized. She looked down at her trembling hands, suddenly feeling embarrassed and flustered with herself for not being able to just... act normal, in this male's proximity. She dropped them to her waist, idly using the material of her day dress to dust off the remaining crumbs from her palm. "I'm alright, thank you. It tickled a bit."

Lucien grinned broadly at her, a shiver not just effecting her hands traveled down her spine and she swallowed thickly at the cruel beauty of that smile.

"That's good. Would you like to take her for a ride then?"

what was Ava like pre-amnesia? did her memory loss cause a lot of big changes in her personality and beliefs or did she stay mostly the same?

Ava's cult leader tendencies still shine through all throughout act one. The only difference between her and her time as The Dark Urge is that she doesn't have Sceleritas or the cult to enable her. If she did have either him or the party blindly follow her (when I start writing them, I don't plan on making them do so without good reason and even then it's not blindly), then she would completely relapse (she does at the end of Act two and start of act three).

Because the party doesn't enable her, she does actually question some of the cruelty of her actions (before, Sceleritas would praise her for such things and justify her actions). However she still does some of the old things she used to: saving people from plots she orchestraed, inducing paranoia about leaving the party/cult...

Where it says that she views them as family, I mean she assumes responsibility over them. They are pieces on a board, yes, but they're *her* pieces. She views them similarly to how we view them: game characters to care for and to use.

The thing about Ava is that she never became a Bhaalist for Bhaal. She became a Bhaalist for stability and community.

Bhaal is just the only one who gave her that.

thoughts on evermore vs folklore? :-0

HIHIHIIIIIII ITS BEEN SO LONGGGG

okay so they’re pretty similar bc she wrote them continuously but I do NOT think they are the same

I feel like folklore is more young and innocent (yes there are exceptions like epiphany mad woman this is me trying ect) with like seven and the love triangle triangle that talk about problems in adolescence and being lowkey naive to bigger problems in the world and there’s invisible string that is kinda like “oh yeah that’s neat” and the 1 that’s like “oh yeah that was sucked but I’m chill now” you know? like there’s deep depressing songs but there’s also deep uplifting naive esque songs

and then there’s evermore which in my opinion is simultaneously more depressing and more uplifting bc like seven for example is a happy song because the narrator doesn’t know what’s happening and is naive to it but songs like happiness are like this was bad and I know full well it was bad but I also know it’s going to be okay and that’s like a running theme throughout the album and that’s the main difference between them like we got folklore that’s like “it’s okay because I don’t know that it’s not” and evermore is like “it’s okay because I know that it wasn’t before but that it will be” and again there are some exceptions from both but like those are so lyrically and musically beautiful that it lowkey doesn’t matter yknow?

as for which I like better, I think they’re both shamazing and I can’t pick <3

hey! i'm listening to the first episode rn (very late ik) but about the court floors - i always pictured a futsal court floor (futsal's like a derivative of soccer) that's very hard and also usually pieced together rather than one piece and i having played on it i feel like exy would work well on it cause
