For those asking about Little guy AU Dakota!

Most of the information is below the cut but if there are more questions please I've got so much id love to share ! ↓

Dakota stays in the hall of elements but he's also between housing with other heroes. If he's not in the hall of elements he's staying with Ms.G and Lightspeed.

His relationship with the Elementals in order from Best to worse-ish is;

Shockwave - they actively match energy and they frequently go out and about and tell him many many stories about being a hero. He also tends to hang out with Dakota more as he's temporarily suspended from hero duty. But basically hes Dakota's favorite

Tide - he is very informative and hes one of the main cooks in the house, he's also generally just an older brother/father figure who tends to encourage Dakota to do big things. Tide and Shockwave tend to watch over Dakota make often so he's got more of an understanding.

Seismic - he's also informative but he tends to act more like a brother , he mainly works with getting Dakota to try and control or manage his strength (, this household goes through so many things between melting, electrical burn out, waterlogging and now Dakota crushing various things)

Magma - He's a little scary he's really just got natural intimidation and a deadpan voice somirs hard to read his tone alot of the time. However despite that he makes good food and is helping Tide train them for Prime Academy. He's also a living heater and nightlight and Dakota has had plenty of good times going to him about nightmares.

Whirlwind - he's kind of distant, (he has been since shockwave got injured and Elle died) so he's a little upset that other heroes literally just passed them a child after losing their sister. But he's trying not to hold it against Dakota, and tends to stand up , step in, or do things when asked. He tends to push Dakota more academically (Dakota hates it)

Like started before when he's not with the Elementals he's with Ms.G and Lightspeed. They're literally just his moms at this point with Harlem being his weird uncle in a way. But he holds everyone in pretty high regards and quickly grew attached.

if a character of yours changed genre, what would it be, and how would that affect the story?

So the fun thing about this is that I write multiple genres in the same universe, so characters already do change genre by virtue of showing up in multiple projects.

Best example is Singe Tyrain who gets to be a main cast member in two different genres, one is a creepy urban fantasy (Humanless), and the other is Magek superhero adventures (The Elementals).

The thing is though, Singe clearly belongs with the superheroes. He's practically acting like one from his first appearance in Humanless, and when deliberately offered a spot in a secret society says no because knowing secrets won't actually help him.

But here's the thing, Humanless came first. It's the backstory. As much as he is more so a superhero, he is also a survivor of everything that happened back then. He keeps more secrets than his teammates (despite being the only one without specific political significance), he's killed someone before, and he's just more prepared for things even other mages don't think exist.

So I guess my answer is they're always affected by the genres they belong in? It's just some of them belong in multiple.

The McCrays and Savages, two fine Mobile families allied by marriage, have been coming to Beldame for years. This summer, with a terrible funeral behind them and a messy divorce coming up, even Luker McCray and little India down from New York are looking forward to being alone at Beldame. But they won't be alone. For something there, something they don't like to think about, is thinking about them...and about all the ways to make them die.

Pronto

I forgot a lot of what I was going to write for this post, but that's okay

Anyways, Pronto's main reason for being in the group is mainly as comedy relief and no other person I fear. He just doesn't contribute a whole lot besides laughs. He's literally the whole cause of Slug Fu Showdown because he couldn't shut the fuck up about the Elementals. You know, the strongest slugs in existence? The ones that they all nearly died for? And almost died again because Pronto couldn't shut up?

Pronto has a few moments that demonstrate he's not purely comedy relief, but it is certainly his main purpose as a character. Also the way his face was animated in the Eastern Caverns kind of made me uncomfortable because his head became so lopsided and his eyes did the o.O thing which looked so bizarre on a character. He also subverts audience expectations with his two "deaths" which were fitting considering how unlike humans he is. Geoshard ghoul to the chest, with the intent of destroying his heart? Nah, his heart is in his ass instead! Fell of a bridge into quicksand? Molenoids spend their free time swimming in it! He's just so full of comedy while also being an annoying runt that it is baffling sometimes when he has a competent moment, and no I'm not counting when he was granted false courage from the Emperor's blaster sword

I tried to draw human forms for The Elementals and Uka Uka. I think Py-ro and Rok-ko’s was the hardest. I can’t decide how I want their hair to look. Same for Uka Uka. I tried to make Rok-ko’s hair similar to his concept art from Crash on The Run, it seemed like he was wearing a wig, but I wasn’t sure what to do about the horns. I’m not sure about Wa-wa’s design though. I had a hard time finding outfits for them. Feel free to let me know what you think though and if I should change anything.

Not sure if I said it yet but I found concept art of Uka Uka for Crash On The Run and my god he looks SO CUTE! What the heck?? He looks so friendly and he’s got a scared look?? I love all these concept arts for him and The Elementals!!

The house in which Dauphin and Leigh Savage lived had been built in 1906; it was a large, comfortable place with generous rooms and careful and pleasing detail in such things as hearths, moldings, frames and glazing. From the windows on the second floor you could see the back of the great Savage mansion on Government Boulevard.

Happy New year! I wanted to share some new stuff I’ve been working on while under my new agency representation at Bright Agency. My agent asked me to make some mock ups using horror or thriller book covers. These are three I’ve currently made; “IT” “Dracula” and “The Elementals” All things out of my wheelhouse but were a fun challenge to do and help me expand my range. Plus thanks to them the new years looking like there will be more fun in store.
