[WILHELM is back! and they've appeared to have brought...well, more people than they originally planned, but. hey. it was PYRONICAs idea to call teeth, 8ball and hectorgon]
[also, @terry-the-anon is here too.]
[WILHELM waits just outside, tapping the barrier once before wincing. yeah. don't know what they expected]
[ @ivxliwh ]
[An alarm sounds within the theraprism. Lights flicker off, but the loud sound of the alarm is muffled, as there are no external speakers on the place. SAUL still comes to greet them regardless, but he appears to be quite unnerved.]
[Still, he creates a gap in the barrier, this one bigger than the last one.]

You know my opinion on Eugene being captain, but what are your thoughts on how the guards are portrayed; specifically, as the "bumbling idiots" you said earlier? Do you think it works, or would you have written them differently?
I'd have written them differently. On the whole, the movie portrays the guards as extremely competent. Eugene is particularly skilled at giving them the slip, and that's a character trait of his, not theirs.
And I'd have included Conli in the series.

ME ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND VIEWING LIST
All the films I've assembled to watch through the weekend and the high holy day. It may take me until mid-week to finish them all, but that's a price I'm willing to pay.
In no particular order (although I ALWAYS watch Gorgo first, and The Barrytown Trilogy must be viewed in sequence):
GORGO (1961)
Tumblr media
Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959)
Tumblr media
THE QUIET MAN (1952)
Tumblr media
THE BARRYTOWN TRILOGY
(all starring me man, Colm Fookin' Meaney)
The Commitments (1991)
Tumblr media
The Snapper (1993)
Tumblr media
The Van (1996)
Tumblr media
THE SECRET OF KELLS (2009)
Tumblr media
WAKING NED DEVINE (1998)
Tumblr media
HEAR MY SONG (1991)
Tumblr media
THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN (2018)
Tumblr media
THE GUARD (2011)
Tumblr media
There's plenty more I could add to the list, but there's only so much time. And there's always next year.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Guardian
Tumblr media
The Guardian, a variation on one of my ocs, The Guard
he's been turned semi-eldritch because he went to rubicon with his lover, the Saint
and now he's like this!!! he has all the same powers a Guardian has, in addition to just. Being really freaking tough!!
Tumblr media
here's him giving my friend @dramaticuser and @pookapufferfish's ocs!! a bit to just show him Big
ajsdflaksfj
Tumblr media
he can turn more of his body into the bitties too, usually for wacky combat reasons

“ Enemy. Lover.
Queen. ”
— When I first read this quote THIS stood out to me (in my current first reading analysis) —
The order of Chaol saying “lover” SECOND to enemy implies that she is NOT the enemy anymore… it also foreshadows that she will not become “lover” again (instead “queen”) it’s the past, present, & future for them & his character view.

[You feel four eyes peering at you from behind a tree. Growling arising from the said area where the stare was coming from] @settinggeneral
"Is that a new companion?"
"Do they usually...growl?
"Uh, hang on. Companion description...something with four eyes that growls, I guess? Can we help you with anything?"

Is Sarge. Sargent in possession of a pair of idiots who are orange and maroon respectively?
Sarge is in possession of four idiots and five sort-of-idiots.
The Guard's Idiots consist of:
Nubby: Squad's Quartmaster and complete cretin. Hobbies include petty theft and pathological lying.
Cutter: Squad's Melee Specialist and berzerker. A woman whose philosophy of modern day tactics consists of screaming bloody murder and charging the enemy with your great sword.
Twitch: Demolitions Expert and paranoid madman. Has a particularly strong hate for demons and will often greet new people by accusing them of being possessed.
Tink: Squad Techie and closeted technophile. Her sheer brilliance with gadgets is only matched by her big mouth and colossal spending debt.
The sort-of-idiots and the rest of the squad's roster are as followed:
Doc: Field Medic and neurotic whiner. Couldn't look a beautiful woman in the eye to save his life.
Aimy: Markswoman with anger management issues. Possesses a short fuse for bullshit and tends to handle all forms of bullshit the same way, violence.
Heavy: Seven foot tall heavy weapons expert and all around lazy bastard. Has perfected the art of napping to the point of being able to literally sleep with his eyes open.
Crisp: Flamethrower Specialist and squad chef. His friendly demeanor is often overshadowed by his unsettling aura of death and unsettling sense of humor.
Rookie: Youngest member and squad errand boy. Doesn't know how to say no to anyone, but is happy to help with whatever tasks.
