I started reading the legend of drizzt and y’all should too. this man is the wettest saddest prodigy you’ve ever met. his best friend is a cat (panther). people have been trying to kill him since the literal day of his birth, but he’s so cool and competent they keep changing their minds or failing. bro is a beast and legend of a dual-wield scimitar build but all he really wants to do is live a peaceful life and nobody gives him a fucking break for even a goddamn second

Zaknafein mocks Drizzt by calling him a dancer. Drizzt does not ask what wtf a dancer is, nor does Zak explain it.

So... drow society in Menzobarrenzan has dancing. What's more, Drizzt, who had basically never left his family house by this point, had at some point been exposed to dance and knows what it is.

At least one member of the Do'Urden house dances.

I dont know what to do with this information, but its delightful to find out.

So I was joking a couple years ago when I suggested a Jarlaxle fashion zine but I think there's enough people out there drawing him with gold earrings and fancy crop tops now that this could be a possibility so. Who's going to commit and put it together. I'll be there I'll draw for you you'll have my sword.

I am your friend, Guenhwyvar, and I’ll not fight against you." He leaped forward, arms unthreateningly wide, face and chestfully exposed. "Even at the cost of my own life!"

Guenhwyvar did not strike. Emotions pulled at the cat stronger than any magical spell, those same emotions that had put Guenhwyvar into action when it first saw Drizzt in the cave fisher’s clutches.

Guenhwyvar reared up and leaped out, crashing into Drizzt and knocking him to his back, then burying him in a rush of playful slaps and mock bites.

The two friends had won again, they had defeated two foes this day.
