Around a dozen common monsters were not going to end up with events, but at this point it was feeling weird to exclude them, right? So let's put minigames in here! I've really stepped in the scope creep this time. These are so fun to make though, it's giving me life!

You can now give Voltage Veyeral a scrub with a minigame lifted right out of Helldivers. Notably, Helldivers 2 caused me to delay my last update by a day while I scrambled to finish this minigame that I decided to make on the spot. (Also I was playing it a lot lol)

'Wait for the morning that will always return.' I wanted to draw my favorite monster from Void Rains, Hadesoh, with their power manifested into my Limbus OC. Very satisfied with the result. :) I'll probably make a proper info post about this OC when I have a non-crossover drawing of her ready.

So I’ve been playing The Void Rains Upon Her Heart, and the TLDR is that it’s a very good Boss Rush Rougelike that’ll give you plenty of challenges (around 700) to keep your attention, and it’s even still being developed so there’ll be more to come. I’d recommend at least checking the trailer, if not fully purchasing it if those game genres interest you.

I love how sugary sweet the story is, where the fights aren’t actually fights, but a dream representation of the chosen character reducing the monster’s fear (i.e. healthbar) with love (shooting at them). I love how it contrasts and blends beautifully with the darker parts, like in Her storyline where She’s like “They’ll probably kill me again!” While her sprite looks all cheery and smiling. I love how so far there are no characters that use male pronouns, every character (even the ones that would seem outside the gender binary) are referred to as she.

One of the only downsides I can imagine is the achievements/challenges. I’m not that far in, only about 100 of those 700, but some of the achievements are story-specific, and the story only gives you monsters at random. I can definitely see myself getting frustrated in the future if I only need a couple more of those story achievements but not getting them for ages because I just don’t get that monster or it’s not at the right level. I haven’t unlocked them all, so I might be getting ahead of myself, but it would be nice if there was some kind of even that let you pick your next fight. Maybe using a the Quick Gifts that reroll bosses or items would increase your odds of getting the event. But this is a minor, theoretical problem so don’t take it too seriously.

Another thing, and this is entirely personal preference, is I love it when temporary upgrades become permanent. It feels like I earned something tangible with hard work. There’s no problem this is connected to, but I’d like it where there was some kind of infusion system. It would only work in Story Mode, and only on Power Gifts, but if you spent something crazy like 100 Tetrads you could make a Power Card a permanent starting Active Ability for that specific character. That one’s entirely personal, just wanted to offload those thoughts.

She may be trapped under a cloud of endless rain, but there's no reason we can't spare some love for her, is there? Maybe she just wants to cuddle under an umbrella. So we'll brave the storm and open our heart to her.

I've finally done it, Boss number 100! Moss

I got this far by making every combination of the game's boss mechanics that I can think of. This one has the unique trait of always attacking from behind you, so you usually have to attack the vines she makes in front of you, unless you happen to have something that can shoot backwards. She is the first of a set of 7 heart themed monsters that combines the treasure bullets from the shiny battles with various other types of bosses. They are like score bonus rounds that can actually hurt you!

Wow there really wasn't supposed to be this many bosses when I started this "tiny little baby side project," but here we are. I can finally say it has OVER 100 BOSSES, because the latest update also added boss number 101!
