So, if you're reading this, chances are you've come across a page of my PPG comic, The Day Is Saved, and are now wondering, "What the hell is going on?"

Well, that, fellow PPG fans, is what I'm about to explain now!

So, this comic takes place in 2016, 11 years after an event called The Battle of Monster Island. Throughout the comic, you'll hear bits and pieces of the battle and you'll DEFINITELY see the scars (both emotional and physical) that it left on all the characters. I will be making a prequel comic centering on the Battle of Monster Island once the main comic is finished, if you're interested.

There are two main plotlines of the comic, one PPG-centric and one RRB-centric.

The following things will be present in the comic:

The origin of Chemical X

The origin of HIM

The origin of the Narrator (I know it sounds stupid but it's actually kinda neat I promise)

The Professor and Mojo having a shouting match civilized discussion regarding the past and a genuine attempt to make things right (spoiler alert: it fails miserably)

What Citiesville has been up to this past decade

When she’s not the Mockingjay. 

In this piece, Katniss isn’t a symbol, she’s a survivor. Yes, she’s an amazing heroine, but she also came back from the Games damaged, and in some ways, more isolated than she was before. Here she appears young (canon appropriate), small/slender, and vulnerable in a way I don’t often see in THG fan art. In some of the comments on this piece on DeviantArt, people ask if this is the scene in the basement after the Quarter Quell announcement or a scene from 13 with Katniss hiding in a closet, among other theories. But the artist says it’s not any scene in particular—just a portrait of Katniss.
