Gil surprised her with a matching look? She has a white nice dress and he shows up in a white suit? Would be a cool partner look =)
"Madame?"
Thena offered a tight smile as she picked up a glass of champagne off of a passing tray. "Merci."
She hadn't really wanted to come all the way here for this function, but it was insisted upon not only by her French diamond contact, but the entirety of his diamond house family. It was to seal their business, as well as act as a gesture of good will for future deals.
Karun told her she had to go, and Kingo doubled down, even telling her that she should 'lead him on a little more' for the sake of business. She attempted to ignore that.
She was an engaged woman.
She had told Gil she had to attend a meeting in France. But she knew that he was no fan of the monsieur with whom she had conducted business. In all fairness, she supposed she wouldn't be thrilled if he had to conduct business with the Little Heiress again. But she was here for tonight and then she could return home.
"Madame Glasse?"
She smiled as her business associate sat down adjacent to her. At least if she was seated or holding something, he didn't feel the need to kiss her hand. "It's a lovely soiree."
"You seem very," the gentleman looked around the sparkling ballroom, "isolated."
Thena inhaled, looking down at her don perignon. "Forgive me, monsieur, I have never been the life of the party."
"Ah," he offered a smile, adjusting the gold button of his beautiful blue suit. "You accepted my offer, but I think perhaps your heart is not here with us."
Her heart was in a penthouse apartment with a certain Tyrant King, who had probably fallen asleep on the couch in front of the Food Network. She should have just asked him to come with her, risk that he would start a fight be damned.
"Madame, would you grant me the privilege of speaking my mind with you?"
She gave him the faintest expression of surprise before nodding. Perhaps he wasn't as much of a dumb blonde - the irony of which did not escape her - as she had suspected.
"I admit I am quite taken with you," he expressed openly, leaning on the arm of his chair that was closer to her. He did have that sad, puppy-love expression on, too. "Positively enchante, truly."
Thena merely waited for him to go on.
"But as much as you did not tell me," his eyes drifted down, and to her hands, safely folded over her crossed legs. "You do not withhold your heart from me out of modesty, non?"
Thena adjusted her lace around her arms and in the crooks of her elbows. She didn't bother taking her ring off for the night. "Would that affect our business if I told you that you're right?"
He chuckled, although she could already see his disappointment. "But of course not. I am a gentleman, Madame Glasse, and I will honour our business just as you have. And I do have some brain under these looks."
Thena resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She knew it was in good humour, but few men were allowed to get away with cocky humour like that with her. One man in particular.
"I realise I am pursuing a woman who has already made her match," he sighed, leaning back again. His eyes flicked down, "it's a beautiful ring, cheri. They are small, but I can tell the quality of them is impeccable."
Thena smiled. The little diamonds in her ring, creating joints where the bands could meet in their weave, were indeed perfect in every way. "But of course; I am the diamond queen, after all."
"Indeed," her associate agreed, also plucking a glass of champagne for himself. He gave her a smile, "I am grateful that you came. But if you wish to leave, I will not hold it against you."
Oh, how she ached to be at home, in the arms of her Tyrant. But even with a private plane, the journey home was no quick hop across the pond.
"She should stay for a dance, at least."
"Gil!"
"Hey Princess," he greeted gently, despite her insistence that he not call her that in public. He bent over the arm of the chair, capturing her hand smoothly and pulling it up to his lips. "Miss me?"
He was like a knight in shining armour, and while she had never seen him in a white suit before, she didn't dislike it on him. She raised a brow, "new?"
"Like it?" he grinned as he pulled her to her feet, leading her closer to the dance floor. "I had my tailor whip it up just to surprise you."
Thena shook her head at him, her feet moving automatically as he led her until they could sway together, his hands holding hers and at her back. "When did you get here?"
"Not long ago, actually," he made a more sheepish face. "I got on a place a few hours after yours, after I picked up this number."
She smiled, running her hand over the lapel. "Did you want to match me so badly?"
"Well," he smiled as well, his eyes soft and reflecting the chandelier above them. "Can't let my wife show up to a fancy ball unaccompanied, can I?"
She refused to let him know how much she liked it when he called her his wife. "I did, though, didn't I?"
"Okay, so I was a little late," he huffed, rolling his eyes in good nature. He spun her around before pulling her closer, "I wasn't invited."
Thena stole a glance to the edge of the room, where her associate was excusing himself from the room entirely. "Last I checked, he was not in your good graces."
Gil shrugged, and her hand moved with the bounce of his massive shoulder as he did. "Just don't laugh at his jokes, Ice. Then we've got no problem."
She did not believe that. But perhaps she was too intoxicated by the warmth of him and the champagne she'd had. He pulled her nearly flush with him and she resisted the urge to lay her head on his chest.
"Sorry I'm late, baby," he whispered, sneaking a kiss to her temple while they were able to go unobserved. Or at least, unremarked upon, as far as this branch of society was concerned. They weren't exactly law abiding citizens, but this territory of Thena's was more about business than about brutality.
"You're forgiven," she sighed as she let him numb her overstimulated senses, "this time."
"This time?" he chuckled, and his chest bounced against hers from it.
"Just this time," she purred, running her hands over the front of his fine, white suit. "And this?"
Gil didn't even glance down as she tapped at the royal blue pocket square that screamed against the colour of the rest of his outfit. "Maybe a little bit of a challenge to French-y."
"So territorial," she murmured. She had to be careful not to sound like she enjoyed his territorial side; it would only encourage him.
Gilgamesh pulled her hand up his chest until he could kiss her fingertips, tapping against her ring as he did. "I think I have a right to be territorial about my own wife."
"We are not married."
"Yet," he nearly cut her off to insert. He smiled at her, still swaying them loosely to the beat of the band, "not yet. Anytime, any place, Ice."
"Hm," she sighed, the exhaustion of the business and the travel and the whole of the last few weeks weighing on her. She leaned against him heavier and he allowed it, holding her as much as she liked. "Not tonight."
"Fine," he chuckled, kissing her cheek this time. He stayed close, his nose dangerously near 'nuzzling' territory. "Wanna go home?"
"You just got here," she nearly groaned at the thought.
"Okay, so we get a room, spend a little time here before we go back?" he suggested. "We can take a long weekend in Paris, what do you think?"
She did not care what they did, so long as she didn't have to let go of him.

Hi can I request for thena, reader is pregnant and thena is being super protective but take your time writing this.
adding a toddler to their little family cause it was too cute an idea not to. She’s 15 months old and her name is Selene like the Greek goddess of the moon (a recurring theme im sure yall noticed…) but her nickname is Luna. Also, Thena can’t have Mahd Wy’ry in this one cause I need her to be a functional member of society—I can’t have her not knowing what a damn toaster is😭 This is like… think AoU (all the avengers spending time at Clint’s) but Eternals style. Pure fluff
Tumblr media
To say you were excited would be the understatement of the month. These little reunions were rare, as you each had a life of your own—yours being a constant rollercoaster—and so you cherished each one as if it would be your last. Your beloved was a bit reticent at the thought of travelling so far into your pregnancy, but it had only taken a few soft reassurances and a couple of sweet kisses for her to relent. The last time the Eternals were all in the same vicinity, you were getting married to the love of your life and it had been a day you would never forget. Spending time with one of them wasn’t a hard feat—Gilgamesh was a recurrent visitor of your household, but you missed the chaos that inevitably followed whenever your entire family found itself in the same room.
Thena’s thoroughness, while incredibly appreciated, had some downsides to it. You knew there was nothing you could do when she was in this… planning state, so you opted for a small, tired sigh as you waited near the door, securely holding your 15 months old girl’s hand in yours while the other rested on your growing stomach.
“Baby, we’re already late,” you called out to your wife somewhere on the second floor. Her footsteps were never particularly loud; she was light on her feet, but you learned to recognize the soft thumping of her shoes on your wooden floor. You knew she was pacing from your shared bedroom to the nursery.
“Do we have everything?” You heard her ask, voice slightly muffled due to the distance between you. “Where’s Luna’s penguin?”
“In the bag where you packed it yesterday. We have everything and we’re going to miss our flight if you keep this up.”
You picked up on her pause, and you just knew her brows furrowed as she considered your warning. Ironically, Thena’s meticulousness had already made you a day late. It stemmed from her attentive nature, you were aware that she wanted you and your daughter to be as comfortable as possible, but she could forget herself at times. You heard her approach before you saw her, quickly stepping down the stairs to join you at the front door. Just as you suspected, there were the remnants of a frown on her face, the crinkles at the corner of her eyes betraying her worry. You tried to suppress an amused smile at the sight.
Luna let go of your hand to reach for Thena instead and you couldn’t even feel any jealousy at your daughter’s obvious favoritism, not when your wife instantly picked her up and pressed a tender kiss to her round cheeks.
“How are you feeling?” Thena ushered you out the door as she asked, closing it gently behind you and turning away for a second to insert the key into the lock.
“I’m okay—excited to arrive.”
“If you feel tired at any moment—”
“—You will be the first to know,” you interrupted her with a fond eye roll, making your way to the parked car in your driveway. Your wife had packed all the bags into the car half an hour earlier.
You heard a soft hum of agreement when you sat in the passenger seat. It only took a couple minutes for Thena to make sure Luna was secure in her chair before finally closing the door of the driver’s seat behind her. With a last confirmation from you that everything was okay, you were on your way to the airport.
---
The trip was easy, and Luna had only made a fuss a few times once in the air so you would consider it a win. You could barely contain your enthusiasm once on the road to Ajak’s home. It had been a while since you had last seen some of the others, but Ajak’s cooking was truly something you had missed. Luna had fallen asleep a couple hours earlier in her chair, head slightly tilted to the side. The comfortable silence that enveloped the car was deeply appreciated; you knew it was only a matter of time now before the others’ bickering would reach your ears.
The smile on your lips reached your eyes the second Thena parked near the house. You could see Druig and Makkari on the porch, engaged in some conversation you didn’t care about. The speedster met your gaze, and you swore you could see the excited glimmer in her irises from where you were still seating. Makkari was at your door in a blink, going as far as opening it for you and helping you step out of the car despite your assurances that you could do it on your own. Her hug was unsurprisingly full of energy, squeezing you tight against her until Thena reminded her to be careful, an edge to her voice that was only there when she worried. Makkari took a step back. Her smile grew at the sight of your belly, eyes widening.
Another?
You couldn’t help the chuckle at her short question, shrugging good naturedly.
“He’s not due for another trimester,” you signed as you spoke, letting her bend down and press her ear to your stomach. You bit your lip to stop yourself from laughing as you caught Thena’s eyes on the other side of the car. The blonde shook of her head at her sister’s antics, but didn’t disturb the moment, greeting Druig with a small smile and a nod.
Makkari straightened up with a hand on her chest, a moved expression lacing her features. The gesture hadn’t surprised you; she had done the same thing when you were pregnant with Luna. She had told you then that she could sense the baby’s movements and it always pulled the same face from her.
You turned to acknowledge Druig’s presence, offering him a wave.
“Long time no see,” he greeted you with a cheeky smile then glanced through the back door window. “The little troublemaker’s asleep.”
“Not for long,” you assured him. Luna’s naps never lasted long. It had taken her quite some time to sleep through the night as an infant. She had dozed off almost three hours ago, she would most likely wake up soon.
Makkari helped carry the bags into the house—and by carry, it means she took all of them before speeding through the front door. You weren’t one to complain about the lack of work though. You could smell the food the moment you stepped on the porch, Thena and a sleeping Luna at your side, the baby cozily pressed against her mother’s shoulder. Heaven, that was how Ajak’s food smelled like. It was only an hour past lunch, but you would never dare refuse that woman’s cooking. You could vaguely hear Kingo and Gilgamesh near the back, but the owner of the house hogged all your attention the second she saw you. Her smile was contagious.
“Oh, look at you,” Ajak gasped, arms covering you in a tight hug. “When is it due?”
“In roughly three months,” you answered, the scent of her earthly perfume putting you at ease almost instantly. You let her pull away and glance at your belly in the way Makkari did earlier.
“You look beautiful. Do you have a name already?”
“Not yet,” Thena was the one who replied to her this time and Ajak flashed her a warm smile, her palm briefly cupping her cheek in greeting.
The healer’s hand then came to rest on Luna’s back as she tilted her head to admire her restful face. “She’s grown so much since I last saw her.”
“In height and in trouble, I assure you,” you brought a hand to your stomach as you said it. Two babies under two would surely bring you to your knees.
Ajak laughed at Thena’s hum of agreement. “Did you eat? There’s food in the kitchen, I hope Kingo paced himself like I told him to.”
“Oh, we actually—” Thena started but your sudden palm on her bicep made her glance at you with a raised brow.
“We did not,” you grinned, already on your way to the kitchen. “I want some of that food you’re talking about.”
---
Sersi, Ikaris and Sprite arrived only an hour later. Phastos was the last one to get there, mentioning something about Jack begging him to let him come with and how it took hours to convince him that he would next time. Your family was finally under the same roof, and you couldn’t be happier sitting on the patio with Sersi and Ajak while Sprite entertained an impressionable Luna a few feet away under Thena’s watchful eye. The boys and Makkari were catching up inside, you could hear Phastos’ laughter echo through the house.
You brought your palm to your cheek as you watched Thena’s lovesick smile when Luna tried reaching up to the imaginary animals in the air. These two were your entire world, and you would soon be welcoming another human to your little family. The thought filled you with astonishment and love, your own smile pulling at your lips. Thena glanced at you as if she knew you were watching. You waved and your heart skipped a bit when she returned the gesture from where she was sitting cross legged on the grass. You had fell in love with her and married her, yet she seemed to have a way of making you feel like you did when you first saw her— out of breath. Your gaze stayed on her even as she turned to steady Luna on her feet. God, she was beautiful. And she was yours.
---
“What do you mean you didn’t get it?”
Kingo’s offended tone made you hide your laugh behind your palm but mocking him didn’t seem to be a problem for anyone else because Sprite jumped at the occasion the second the movie ended. Luna was tiredly laying on Gilgamesh’s chest in the loveseat next to the couch you were on, his large hand rubbing circles on her back to coax her into sleep.
“The plot was a bit… weird,” Ikaris spoke up next to Sersi, shrugging a bit when Kingo glanced to him with raised eyebrows.
“What are you even talking about that movie had everything,” Kingo got up to open the DVD player (he offered to hook Ajak on to the streaming world, but she refused like all the times he’s asked her before, luckily, he brought DVD copies that he intended to give to Makkari). “Action, humor, romance—did you guys not see me out there?”
“Everything but a plot,” Sprite commented, her grin widening when Kingo flashed her a glare.
“Look,” Phastos adjusted his position next to you on the couch, “were you good in it? Sure. Was the writing department lacking… common sense? Absolutely.”
“It sucked and there’s no way you made any money from that,” Druig snatched Makkari hand away from his plate while Sprite agreed from her place at his feet.
“It’s a fiction!” Kingo scoffed as he put the CD back inside its case. “You guys are the biggest haters I’ve ever had—and a lot of people hate how great I am. Gil, Ajak, what did you think?”
Gilgamesh shrugged, glancing down to check if Luna had fallen asleep. Her eyelids were heavy and the grip she had on his shirt was starting to go slack. “It was bad.”
“Okay, not talking to you anymore. Ajak?”
Ajak hesitated for a few seconds; lips parted while she pondered her words. “You were great.”
“See!”
Sprite snorted. “Great is extremely generous, definitely not the word I’d use.”
“You have such a nasty spirit.”
You couldn’t contain your chuckle at that one. You could feel Thena’s smile against your temple as the bickering went back and forth. She was warm against you, an arm snaked around your shoulders, the fingers of the other one laced with yours on your stomach. Her hair tickled your neck. She smelled good, her embrace secure, and if it wasn’t for the noise, you could have fallen asleep next to her in minutes.
You perked up when Kingo called your name, almost begging you to defend his name.
“Uh…” You trailed off, eyes darting to the loveseat. “I’ve got to put my girl to sleep.” Thena helped you get up from the couch with a steady hand behind your back.
“You’re avoiding the question,” he pointed an accusing finger towards you, eyes narrowing.
“Yeah, ‘cause it sucked,” Sprite sing-sang on her way to get another drink from the kitchen.
“Okay, how about this one—”
Multiple voices rose at the same time, all against Kingo’s offer to put in another one of his movies. You shook your head, a fond smile on your lips as Gilgamesh carefully handed you Luna. The girl rested her cheek on your shoulder with a small whine. She had a long day; she was definitely going to fall asleep the second you put her to bed.
You bid the others goodnight as you made your way to the stairs with Thena behind you. Sersi and Ajak were the only ones to answer you, the rest too absorbed in their conversation to notice you had spoken.
You let out a sigh when you reached the guest room. Your feet ached a bit and you couldn’t wait to lay down.
“Tired?” Thena’s soft voice murmured from behind you, her lips pressing a kiss to your temple.
“A little,” you admitted with a small smile. The blonde hummed, gently taking Luna from your arms to allow you to change while she put on the baby’s pyjamas.
You were grateful for your wife. She seemed to know your body language as if she was born speaking it and would always meet your needs with few words spoken between the two of you. It was a dance you rehearsed for years, and she was your reliable partner, thoughtful of your strengths and limits.
You watched her change when you were done, bottom lip between your teeth. You knew her bare skin was as smooth as it looked, your fingertips had traced figures on it too many times to count. Thena caught your eye over her shoulder, and even if half of her face was hidden from your view, you knew there was a teasing smile stretching her lips. You had stopped feeling shameful of your ogling a long time ago, though. Her shirt covered the skin of her back and you remembered yourself, taking a seat on one side of the bed. Luna’s chest was already rising and falling evenly, her lips slightly parted. You touched her soft curls. She was your everything. Tiring, a handful for sure, but your everything regardless. Thena watched you gaze at your daughter with amazement, fingers running through the short hair on her head. Her fingers unconsciously played with the ring on her left hand as she did. Becoming yours was the easiest decision she had taken in all her centuries of living. Her heart longed for your presence the moment she saw you, and even if it took her some time to come to term with those feelings, she wouldn’t change it for the world. You had broken the walls around her heart with your shiny smiles and bad jokes, you had taken the organ in your hands and held it with a gentleness she had only found within her family. It belonged to you, her life partner, the mother of her children. You had given her a family of her own, had shared a piece of yourself with her, and she would prove herself worthy of that decision for as long as she lived.

Thenamesh Actor AU. Both of them being in a press conference to promote their new series/movie but after a while the reporters are asking Thena some really rude, uncomfortable and sexist questions and Gil warning them that they are here for the movie and not for those question. They still asking her those question so Gil (sweet protective Teddybear) runs out of patience, says something like that’s enough! gets up grabs Thenas hand and just walks out with her leaving everyone stunned, most of them and even Sprite impressed!
Would be super cool to read more of protective and supportive Gil :D
"You don't really have to finish this stupid press conference, do you?" Sprite rolled her eyes as she handed Thena a bottle of water.
"Yes, we do, that's the press part of the press conference?" Thena snarked right back at her frosty sister between sips.
"They're not asking you any real questions," Sprite whispered rather loudly at her, glancing out on stage to where the audience of mostly media reporters was waiting for the five minute break to end. "Except if you're single or not."
"No surprise there," Thena murmured, capping her water and handing it back to Sprite to finish. "But it's almost over. And then Gil's taking us for lunch."
Gil was the only reason Sprite hadn't charged out onto stage and made an absolute scene in her sister's defense.
As much as Thena probably wished Sprite wouldn't think of doing something that could embarrass them both like that, it wasn't enough to stop the temperamental teen.
But Gil had risen to Thena's defense at every opportunity.
"Okay," he sighed, smiling at them both as he rejoined them. "Ready to go back out there?"
"I'm afraid so," Thena smiled, walking back out beside him to finish up the media circus that had been this particular press set. She took her seat next to Gil. He gripped the back of his chair as he sat, deliberately budging it just a little bit closer to hers. The lighting guys would probably be livid over it, but she couldn't help but smile.
"Okay, so, where were we?"
"You had a stunt question," Gil volunteered readily, "for Thena."
Thena held back a sigh.
"Right, so, with the underwater scene, you both trained to be able to hold your breath for quite some time, given how long you're in those wet suits."
This was starting to sound like a real question.
"Are you able to wear underwear in something like that?"
Maybe not.
"Are you kidding me?" Gil glared right at the reporter. "You haven't asked a decent question yet, and I warned you about this already."
"Look, man, the questions get written for me, I'm just asking them."
"Well, don't," Gil stood firm, not caring how argumentative he had to be.
Thena moved her arm on the chair's armrest, letting the side of her hand just brush the side of his. "Anyone else?"
"Gilgamesh, you've done diving work before haven't you?"
Thena happily listened to his answer recounting his time on other projects. She had already all but written off this release as a bust. She wasn't going to be getting any questions that weren't disgusting, so she might as well let Gil answer any and all of them until they could leave.
"Training for this was actually really interesting," he looked over at her with a smile, "Thena's a champ--did way better than me when we were being instructed."
"Well, you know what they say about being able to hold your breath."
Thena kept her expression neutral, although she managed to glare at Sprite, who she knew was about one question away from pulling the fire alarm on them.
"No, I don't know," Gil sat up straighter, glaring at the audience as a whole. "What do they say?"
The reporter cleared his throat, offering at least some shame, "s-sorry."
"If you guys don't want to interview us, that's fine, we'll just go," Gil held out his hand.
Thena tapped the back of his hand with her finger lightly, "it's okay, Gil."
"It's not," he grumbled, but sat back and lowered his mic. He looked at her with a sigh, "you get one more comment like that, and I'm gonna take one of those cameras and shove it-"
"Okay, Thena, here's something we all want to know-"
Gil looked relieved at the sign of a legitimate question, but Thena frowned, not nearly so hopeful for it.
"Apparently Eros was spotted with an actress on the set of his movie, meeting him at his trailer. He's made some implications that it's a big name, that she's currently on another project and that she's naturally blonde-"
"Are you asking if I've been sneaking off set to sleep with Eros?" Thena asked point blank.
"Well-"
"Enough!" All heads turned to Gil as he pushed out of his chair and tossed his - very, very expensive - microphone away. He moved in front of Thena, pulling her hand into his as he faced down the reporters and their cameras. "I cannot believe how disrespectful you have all been through this entire interview."
"Gil," Thena murmured, but he was far past forgiving, at this point. He pulled her to her feet, her hand in his, still shielding her behind his larger frame.
"You can't just leave in the middle of your own interview!"
"You've barely asked any real questions," he glared right back at them on his way off stage, "and I don't answer to animals."
Sprite was filming him from offstage. She was so going to leak this online. She would wait, of course, until stories popped up about how Gilgamesh had so rudely interrupted his own press conference. And just in time, she would offer the reverse angle, wherein he was so valiantly defending his costar from a horde of assholes.
Those in attendance were still uttering their protests as Gil rushed Thena offstage. "Sorry, sorry, I know your manager will...well, I don't know, but my manager certainly is gonna kill me."
"That was cool, though!" Sprite grinned at him, eager to offer her support to his act of defiance.
Gil looked at Thena, her hand still in his, "I'm sorry. But I couldn't sit there and listen to them...say stuff like that."
"I'm afraid you get rather used to it," Thena rolled her eyes, which only seemed to discourage him further. She gave his hand a squeeze, not letting go quite yet. "But no one can blame me for running off if it was your idea. So, you've still saved me from it."
Gil kept her hand in his, letting her much colder hand soak up his warmth. "Anytime."
Sprite pulled out her phone, pretending to text while her sister and her not-boyfriend stared at each other. In reality, she had a picture of Gil pulling Thena along, ever so valiantly holding up an arm to shield her from everything going on. She couldn't wait to send it to Thena and watch her lose her mind over it.
"Uh, r-right," Gil blinked as the reality of things sunk in again. He looked around them, hearing the audience officially give up on them coming out again and start standing and packing up. "Lunch?"
"Please," Sprite murmured as she typed up her message, "I'm fucking starving."
"Sprite," Thena chastised, not that it made a difference. She took her purse back from her sister; her phone was buzzing but she knew better than to look at it now. It was just from Sprite, and it was just to annoy/embarrass her, anyway.
"Any requests?" Gil asked the woman beside him and her sister on the other side of her.
"I just read about this new taco place," Sprite suggested, slipping her phone away to tell them about it. Thena had to use her phone eventually, and when she did, she would be greeted by a very romantic looking picture of her and Gilgamesh with the message:
you and the hubs! make it ur background
