Clari ! I was listening to ethel cain today and her song Inbred (lol) is sooo touya-nii and reader ! I know you may not like it/listen to her because her music is similar to nicole dollanganger and I remember you saying somewhere that shes a lil triggering but! I just thought id share in case (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
gore pop!! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) i can actually handle ethel cain a lot easier than i can handle nicole; there’s just something about nicole that hits so close to home, and i think it might be because we grew up so close to one another—she really captures the barren, desolate, absolutely eerie feeling of small-town ontario that’s so hard to explain if you didn’t grow up in small-town ontario AHAHA <3 ethel feels a little more removed from myself with her southern gothic type vibe n all that. i think they’re both absolutely phenomenal artists + lyricists though!!!
anYWAY enough of my rambling; i’ve heard inbred before and you’re literally 100% RIGHT it is so touya-nii. my favourite part is scumbag fuck but i swear that he’s not / he’s so good to me and to nobody else / so you should watch yourself because it’s just,,, it’s touya-nii and his little sister to a T. it’s he’s the best to me, he loves me so much, and he’ll fucking kill you <33

I'm sure you have a fantastic take on (redacted.) Can you just tell me what you know about the history of self-immolation in protests real quick?

Old man yells at Zamboni time but like how are national reporters STILL presenting the EK65 trade without the context that it got rid of all our bad contracts?? (Except for carters but hey he’s had some good moments! He’s less bad as a fourth liner) “it’s not what they needed” actually it was exactly what we needed — to get rid of all our bad contracts lol. “They needed goaltending” actually our goaltender tandem is one of the best in the league because KD brought in Ned. “ they needed depth” FAIR but like we did try to bring in depth and it just hasn’t clicked yet. Were four pts out from a wild card spot with three games in hand on two of the teams above us and they’re still saying this season is as disaster
It just makes me think their takes are bad on all the teams?? Because they’re so stupid about the pens it’s wild

I would call the One Piece live action trailer endearingly cringe at best.

If anyone's looking for an excuse to watch Fantastic Fungi, aka the documentary about Paul Stamets the real life mycologist with a Star Trek character based off of him, I can confirm it's very cool.
Although as a person with an interest in microbiology, I think I now need another documentary similar to this one but about (other?) microbes. I want to know about the bacteria and archaea! This one also made me want to scream "tell me more about nutrient cycling!" because I have an obsession (I do soil science) and there were really only the barest mentions of how fungi are involved in it. The way Stamets talks about fungi and nutrient cycling is very flipping cool but also it's a documentary and they don't have the time / audience to get into the nitty gritty details I am craving. If anyone has recommendations about where to learn about this stuff please send it my way, otherwise I'm just gonna fall down a Wikipedia and/or research paper rabbit hole and hope it leads somewhere interesting.

Have you read The Once and Future King or any other Arthurian novels? If you have what are your thoughts? Any recs?
sure have!! i gave some recs here but i'll add that i've since got my hands on a copy of the winchester manuscript version of le morte d'arthur and it's a lot easier to read than the copy the library had. i've heard the abridged version of le morte by keith baines is good, i wanna get it when i have money. also found a copy of the story of king arthur and his knights by arthur pyle, which is more or less a selection of stories from le morte with pictures :)!
re. the once and future king, i do think it's a digestible and engaging starting point and i loved it overall. but again white's bigotry clouds the story, often in ways that are integral to the plot, so just know that's present and it warps some aspects of the legends real bad
