Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire – Trial by Fire (PC) Want to be Milo Thatch, the star of Atlantis: The Lost Empire? This sequel to Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire—Search for the Journal CD-ROM lets you do just that. You'll play as the adventurous Milo—and save Atlantis with the help of some cool tools, some suped-up

Atlantean vehicles and your trusty Shephard's Journal.

Cool Factor: Go online to play against gamers from all over the world. You'll find 10 multiplayer levels, including speedy submarine races and a tricky "capture the flag" tournament held in a secret temple.

Bonus Tips 1. Get all the tools by hitting the Alt and ~ keys at the same time. A box will appear. Type All Tools 1 in the box, then hit the Alt and ~ keys again for the complete set!

2. Take to the air by pressing the Alt and ~ keys at the same time. When the box appears, type Fly 1, then hit Alt and ~ again. Now You'll be able to fly!

3. Grab more armor and energy power-ups by...waiting? It's that simple! After you snag armor or power-ups, hang around for a bit—more will pop up!

Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PlayStation) Your mission: Find Atlantis, grab the crystals and save the princess. The team of heroes—six playable characters with special abilities—will help you. (For example, Milo consults his books, Moliere digs things up and Vinny blows stuff to pieces!) You've got to know how and when to use each character to win.

Cool Factor: The game has 12 huge levels to explore. But unlike most games, you don't have to follow the same path, from level to level. You can choose whatever path you wish. It's like a new game every time you play.

Bonus Tip: Nab the fuel cans on the truck level to keep moving. Do not be distracted by the health pickups. If you run out of gas, you're a goner!

Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire (Game Boy Color) The whole pack of Atlantis explorers, plus Princess Kida, will help you battle lava monsters, purple slugs, an Atlantean mammoth and tons more subterranean bad guys.

Cool Factor: Since it's on the portable Game Boy Color, this Atlantis game lets you take Milo and the Ulysses crew "to go!"

Bonus Tip: Skip past the first tricky submarine level (and save your lives) by entering the password CCFS.

“My parents were refugees from Vietnam. And shortly after I was born, my mother got hired as a housekeeper. But she couldn’t bear to leave me with a babysitter. So after only three days, she tried to quit. That’s when her employers insisted that she bring me to work instead. Their names were Charles and Kathleen Timblin, and for the next seven years I would grow up in their home. They were an elderly couple. Neither of them had kids. And I was an only child, so they became my playmates. It’s not like they did much. He had a chair, she had a chair. But I would set up a partition in their living room and stage performances. We’d go to the park, we’d read books; I became part of their world. In the evening we’d eat dinner together and they’d listen to me talk incessantly. But they never yelled at me or put me in my place. I was allowed to play with anything in the house. There was a big rocking chair that I used all the time, and for my fourth birthday they bought a miniature one just for me. Eventually my mom saved enough money to open her own business. And on her last day of work, The Timblins said to me: ‘You’re always welcome in this home.’ I’d visit them three times every year: his birthday, her birthday, and my birthday. As a graduation present they gave me a check to help with my college education. Mr. Timblin gave me a hug, and said: ‘I just hope I can dance with you at your wedding.’ But by then his health had already started getting really bad, and it wasn’t long before he passed away. I started making an extra effort to visit Ms. Timblin. I’d always stop by Blockbuster and pick us out a tape, because she only had a VHS player. But we only had three more years together. Her memorial service was mainly distant family from out of town. I flew home from grad school, and all of them were so surprised I’d made the trip. Especially when I explained that my mom used to work for the Timblins. Nobody could understand why they meant so much to me. It was the first time I’d ever felt like an outsider. And only then did I realize how much the Timblins had made me a part of their world. I lived in their home for seven years, and not once had I felt like the helper’s kid.”

That bounty was short-lived as it was collected on the very next qualifying run. Mike Chongris’ ET record of 3.933 was sent out to pasture with Garner-Jones becoming the first Pro Xtreme rider to enter the 3.80’s with a 3.897 on his DTM/WarpSpeed Racing Suzuki.
