I was going to make a post talking about how one of my borrower characters was being replaced with a different one for my story- when i realized i never even uploaded all the updated references I MADE LAST YEAR!!!!

Anyways- heres all the most important characters for my concept series called Tiny Tails, a Series about an average human named Jack- and how his life changes in a BIG way, after meeting his ₛₘₐₗₗ borrower lovers.

So both of my fave diapers are sold out in my size ugh. Ive been going back and forth on whether or not to try Daydreamers from rears bc I like the print but they dont even have my size. I can kinda squeeze into a 48" but the largest theyve got is 47" and then the 2xls are 58" at their lowest. I'm very glad theres finally something bigger littles can fit but why did they skip over the 50" range? If its too big I probably wont be able to wear but if it's too small I'll be alright but it's hard to go back to having to squeeze after Try Agains from Pretend Again. The fit on those is so perfect. According to their website theyre restocking XL's soon along with anouncing several new diapers which is so exciting...I think I may just wait instead of trying to get a fit sample of Daydreamers tbh. The size struggle is always so real. Sometime soon I'm going to try and work on my onesie pattern so I can have more onesie options that will fit.

No, I have not. In general, I haven't really been wearing or buying adult diapers lately. I can't afford them, and my priority has been stocking up on baby diapers & baby supplies.

I do have a wishlist, if anyone would like to contribute to that. I was unable to find tinytails on Amazon in my size, but others are on there. If anyone does buy me any disposable diapers, I'm probably going to save them for postpartum, but will be posting reviews of them at some point.

Humans don't survive the cold at that size? Okay. Fur.

Are borrowers only rodents? I've been considering making a reptilian borrower self-insert/oc but I'm pretty sure that won't work.

It's not really that borrowers are rodents- so much as the way I made the story for Tiny Tails. I didn't want them to be completely overpowered. Flying, swimming, and poisonous borrowers sort of just don't really feel all that fun to me- its overcomplicated and ruins the vibes of my "small creature that can BARELY defend itself." story.

So I started limiting my Tiny Tail Borrowers to only small mammalian creatures- so mostly rodents, but also lagomorphs, and whatever the fuck raccoons and armadillos fall into.

That being said i also don't like limiting creativity so reptilian and other animal features can be added to your Tiny Tail's borrowers- like Bait's fish bones- but most likely as cosmetics from a carrier spell, or tools or paints or even snake skin used in the clothes.

as stupid as it is this is actually one of the many reasons that im not super into the plain ol' "tiny human" look of borrowers.

If their feet are like ours, i cannot imagine they can walk around without comfortable footwear, less of all, climb surfaces without slipping.

Which is why in my version of borrowers for Tiny Tails, i lean more into the animal features- this way they don't need shoes. They have leather padded feet with fur and a better grip on most surfaces.

They are still tiny humans, but giving them tiny paws prevents me from needing to explain how they get leather to work that well at that size for shoes.

You know what bothers me way too much in stories about borrowers?

The shoes.

I have no trouble believing that borrowers would be able to make tiny clothes out of found materials around the house. Cloth and clothlike materials can be configured, draped, pinned, sewn, and tied in many different ways.

BUT THE SHOES??

How are the borrowers wearing actual shoes? I can't suspend my disbelief enough to accept that. Where would borrowers get actual tiny shoes that are reasonably comfortable and not painful to wear (imagine wearing plastic Barbie shoes...ouch) and don't slide around AND are also practical for running and climbing, which are things borrowers need to do a lot of? What would these shoes be made of? HOW?

You borrowers out there, where do you get your shoes from? Or do you just not wear any? Maybe all the fictional portrayals of borrowers wearing shoes are lies! Just writers taking artistic license...

I'm watching you writers. Be warned.

Ruby Fuzzybrush

It was sunset and Jess and Lily were both getting ready to see the nocturnal animals wake up. The light of The Helping Paws Animal Hospital lit up and the fox cubs started to play with each other. In the bushes, Lily thought she saw another fox in the bushes. But it was something better, it was Goldie. She wanted to take them to The Friendship Forest.

As they arrived, they couldn’t help but notice that the gold leaves on The Friendship Tree turned silver. Goldie explained that the changing of the leaves always happens at night. She explained that they've been getting some strange sightings for some reason and they have to go there fast. It was there they met The Fuzzybrushes and their old friends, ‘The Fuzzybrush Twins’. They’d explained that they have the lighthouse on at night so lost animals can find their way back. Recently, they saw some mysterious figures in the sky. Jess and Lily had a feeling that it was dragons.

However, Ruby and Rusty decided to teach them their special Star Dance, a dance that only foxes knew. After they danced, they saw some shadows. However, they weren’t shadows; they were dragons. 

He was aiming for their home, the lighthouse. They tried to stop him, but it was too late. Smudge the Dragon totaled their home, stole the moonstone, and made the place covered in soot. Worst of all, he casted a spell on Mr. And Mrs Fuzzybrush and Rusty, turning them into shadows. Ruby knew that without the moonstone, the lights will disappear, the leaves on The Friendship Tree would fall, and Jess and Lily would be trapped forever. They couldn’t let that happen.

At the Toadstool Market, Mr. Longwhiskers was fixing up some hot cocoa for Lucy, who couldn’t get to sleep. After asking where Smudge was. Mr. Longwhiskers didn’t have a clue where he was, but he figured that someone at The Midnight Market would find an answer. They thought it was a GREAT idea.

The Midnight Market was a place where patrons of The Friendship Forest do all of their night time shopping. They rode the elevator to The Midnight Tree, all the way to the market. It was there they met their friends, Mr. Silverback, and Mr. Cleverfeather. Amongst the others were Luna and Dusky Longears the bats, Mr. Cleverfeather’s cousins, The Wisefeathers, and dormouse, Dora Tinytail. She was partially asleep. Everyone knows that they have to stay awake whenever a dragon occurs. When they got word about Smudge the Dragon attacking, they knew that they had to stay in the market until the matter was resolved. However, Jess and Lily knew they couldn’t just sit down and do nothing. They decided to go down and search together in a group.

When they got below, they found Smudge hoarding the moonstone all for himself. Remembering the dance they did, Ruby decided to do her special dance. Everyone joined in for encouragement. Observing the dancing, Smudge danced to the beat and controlled his clumsiness. Feeling so good, Smudge reversed the spell on Ruby’s family, returned the moonstone, and fixed their lighthouse. The Fuzzlebrushes were proud of their daughter for teaching a giant dragon how to dance, because it takes true bravery to do it. After Smudge left, the lights started to gleam. Jess and Lily knew that it was time to go home.

Back in the human world, they saw the baby foxes starting to dance, just like The Fuzzlebrushes.

FUN FACT ABOUT BORROWERS FROM MY TINY TAILS UNIVERSE:

Borrowers of the hedgehog subcategory are very prone to becoming Fightiers, due to the thick density of their fur creating natural spiked armor. Somewhere along the way, borrowers of strength talent must have noticed this and continued to pass it onto their pips. This also leads to them growing out their fur unintentionally because it's VERY hard to cut. ^^;

HONEY CHAR-SUI : Ha, Charrie wants to buy Daddy a cooler to keep you cool.

TA-A-MI : Master, my shop has got a lot of discounts. Would you like to buy anything? Like a smart umbrella, ration seasoning box, Lu Wu bolster...

TA-A-MI : It's late now. I have to go back to my shop. Could you please help me hand out the rest of the leaflets? HONEY CHAR-SUI : No problem! Master and I will get it done! Remember to give us discounts!

TA-A-MI : Fine...Got it got it.

SUCKLING PIG ROAST : Terrible! Even the flames inside me dwarf in front of the energy of these shoppers clearing shelves like fury.

Holding two big shopping baskets laden with snacks and toys, Suckling Pig Roast keeps exclaiming behind others.

HONEY CHAR-SUI : We've been here so long, but Boss Tam is still not here. Why? I want him to tell me where Little Piggy biscuits are.

BRAISED TREPANG : You are here for Ta-a-mi? I just saw him at the back gate of the shop.

HONEY CHAR-SUI : Hah Master Cong, are you also shopping here?

BRAISED TREPANG : Yes, Ta-a-mi has been doing business...Very abnormally lately. He is seemingly selling for losses rather than for profits. That's probably a new marketing strategy, so I'm here to find out.

HONEY CHAR-SUI : Piggy has found Boss Tam! He is over there--!

TA-A-MI : Master, Charrie, Suckling Pig Roast, Master Cong? Why are you here?

Things like tents, bottled drinking water, flashlights, instant noodles, rain boots, and raincoats stack up at the back gate of the shop. In the middle of numerous goods, Ta-a-mi stops bookkeeping on seeing the others and puts on a nervous look.

OPTION 1 : "Tamtam, what are you doing here?" TA-A-MI : ...No, it's not, not important! TA-A-MI : I am here just to inventory my new stock. HONEY CHAR-SUI : Boss Tam has got so many goods at the back gate, but it seems none of them are as attractive as Little Piggy biscuits.

OPTION 2 : "Are you going to sponsor the Survival Game of the Adventure Club?" BRAISED TREPANG : As a senior member of the Adventure Club, I've not learnt yet that the Survival Game would be held. TA-A-MI : Stop guessing! I'm just recording my new wares.

TA-A-MI : ...So sorry that I left you alone. Go to the front gate and I'll show you around.

TA-A-MI : Charrie wants Little Piggy biscuits and Suckling Pig Roast wants a cooler, right? I'll help you find them...

After trying hard, Ta-a-mi persuades Charrie and his father to leave the back gate. Only Braised Trepang stays, lost in his thoughts--

BRAISED TREPANG : Master, I am afraid Ta-a-mi is in trouble.

BRAISED TREPANG : You see, these goods like tents, flashlights, and bottled drinking water, are usually used for disaster relief.
