16.5.2024: I used to post almost every day for a little while and I really enjoyed it. But then I finished my school work and relaxed a bit, and that apparently took all my energy, so I haven't really felt as up to posting lately. And I've also been sewing a lot this week, which is fun, but I get so caught up in it that I don't realise how late it is, so I haven't really gotten enough sleep. Right now I'm laying on the couch and waiting for my tea to kick in. Things I'd like to do today:

Begin writing my first journal article (very exciting!)

Send an email asking about commercial nanocellulose fillers

Do laundry

Listen to today's episode of The Magnus Protocol

Start watching the new season of Bridgerton

Sew

Edit: Welp, instead of writing I spent the entire day watching Bridgerton over my work laptop with the article draft document open, as if that then means I was working. I did write one paragraph, so I suppose that counts as beginning it.

okay i need to just make a list i can refer back to or else i'm going to keep forgetting things i want to do for this blog augh.

for the blog itself:

finish tagging posts for villain!ren

go through entire blog and save all oc / canon lore in a document so i don't lose it / have something i can refer back to quickly

write out ren's sister's lore

add an mp3 music player to the blog so i don't have to stress over using any shitty music sharing sites lol lmao ;;

write out the bios for the full profiles on my selfship f/o carrd

set up commission info

make boilerplate for "reblog with your f/o and i'll assign you a ___" posts

and then art-wise:

revisit ren's design -- i'm gathering reference bc i want to potentially re-do his hair based on my initial vision of him vs where he's ended up

make a new reference sheet, but force myself to make it less. like. perfectionist LMAO. i don't need it to be animation turnaround-accurate unless i want a 3d model commissioned or something.

crochet ren doll. at some point. need to find a new pattern argh -- the pattern i initially used SAID to use a lighter weight yarn, so that's what i bought, but once i started working i realized the pictures in the tutorial were all using medium weight that made for a larger doll with more even stitching. which was. super cool. and not at all misleading. 👍🏻 all while knowing i would have just made a fumo plush if i'd had access to that tutorial before buying all of that yarn kjndskfjn

to-do since I am out of my hermit mode and need to function->

train the text similarity model on the dummy database

train the model on the smaller dataset - capstone - i cannot get the node like legit i am not getting a big enough node to run my program

write the classification network in detail for the research paper - think about it as a passion project (and look at the research as something u have conducted with so much pride and hope)- gonna do related work instead

learn more about working with postman and APIs using python flask

Hmm, should I collect screenshots of the OP's tags on various Knack posts? In case they delete the post or deactivate. Or maybe I should figure out how to use the wayback machine...

I found hints of a deactivated RP blog, very sad.

Thinking about what I should do to prepare for if major platforms of the internet just go belly up. Kind of just rambling now.

I'm illiterate. Dad might know. First thing that comes to my mind is I start reaching out to off-tumblr creators and ask if they have a tumblr or if I can share stuff here. And what is the best way to do either of those?

The part of that particular task loop I am stuck in is coming up with an alias. For things like Reddit, you can only choose once. Why don't I just go by this handle? Actually I'm not sure; I was thinking What if someone else wants to do what I'm doing but on a different site? And I'd feel slightly less faceless if I had a name to give.

But I ought to pick up the pace anyhow; I keep hearing rumors and getting a dreadful feeling. At any time, someone can decide to delete their account or their works, especially in response to terrible behavior by platform owners or peers. Or whole platforms can be shut down, and you would not believe the rocks I live under, so I might not even hear of it until too late.

1. Ko-fi // mythee - Project-focused vibe + mini shop ================= Finished project/comms art: Medium resolution + you can donate any amount asking for a parody art of it

W.I.P.s with written details about the process, visible to everyone

Announce when I start a new project

MONTHLY: One or more of: A) Add something to a littol store for people to buy original art if they feel like it B) progress post on any of my longer running art projects C) Upload an old project that hasn’t been uploaded yet.

A folder for every "project" rather than a folder for every art type. This won’t be a portfolio website.

2. Tumblr // mytheetarecold - Personal vibe ================= Finished project/comms art: Medium Resolution, Watermarked, write a funny littol poem to go with it, mention non-watermarked version on Ko-fi + you can donate any amount and I'll make a parody of it

Gift and doodle art: Posted normally

Announce whenever new stuff is added to Ko-fi

Interact with and promote mutuals content! Reblog funny stuff, cool science stuff, scenery, animals, serious stuff and important matter discussions sometimes Might also make posts like that (scenery/discussions etc)

So here's my to-do list toward making all of these changes!

□ Remove WIPs and fluff from Artstation, cull the art shown there

Make proper square thumbnails and folders for these on Artstation □ -> Neko at the Asase Shrine (comic) □ -> Place to Unwind (comic) □ -> Part 1 of Clash (comic)

□ Reorganize Ko-fi gallery into “projects” (unlike Artstation)

□ Unlock WIPs from Ko-fi □ Make the Ko-fi donation system for parody art □ Make a watermark thing that isn't too annoying (mossy?) □ Schedule monthly calendar reminders to prepare monthly content
