Story: 6/10

Well, that was something. I didn’t really read it for the plot, I was just searching for a horror manga. Did it do the job? A little bit i’ll say. I was not especially scared, but more disgusted by some scenes so I guess it did the job fairly well. I didn’t guess the plot twist so I’m happy. But the ending was bad in my opinion. I don’t know if you can consider it as an open ending, but yeah, I didn’t really liked it. I would have loved if some of the children’s backstory was more explained, but it’s just glossed over.

Art: 4/10

I noticed that some horror manga has this particular art style that’s neither good neither bad. It feels like a person who’s good at drawing made the manga, but without ever taking an art class or studying art beforehand. I don’t really know how to explain it, but I can see this type of art a lot in horror manga like in Tokimeki no Ikenie or Misu Misu. I’m not saying that it’s bad, but it just could be better.

I’m not going to lie, I only remember a few names and characters from this story. Some kids were mentioned only two or three times and some others were just straight up boring. I also got two kids’ names confused in the middle of the story. I was like “Oh, so this is Ringo! Oh no this is actually Rinko. Is Ringo the one with white hair?” so yeah... Some characters could have used more development, I’m thinking about Natsuhi, I feel like his personality was more interesting than the main character. Also the main character... Well, I don’t really know what to think again and I wanna keep my reviews spoiler free so i’m shutting my mouth on this one.

Enjoyment: 4/10

I guess I gave a 4/10 to this story because it was really short and I didn’t lose too much time reading it so I appreciated that. I said I wanted to read a horror manga so I was disappointed because I was not scared at all, just disgusted by the gore. Certain scenes also made me uncomfortable between the headmaster who’s 14 and the main character, Igarashi, who’s 18.
