I finally modified my Leon! I knew it was just a matter of time before I actually did it. It probably doesn't even make that huge of a difference in my photos, because I suck so badly at taking photos. However, IRL (and in my head) it makes a huge difference. He's never going to be an accurate sculpt, but I am happier every time I get him closer to my ideal version of a Leon S. Kennedy 1:6 action figure! (:

I only reduced a tiny little bit of the dropping lid, probably less than a mm in height and less than 3mm in length. Just on the left eye, since that's the only one that's visible all the time. The other one doesn't have as much droppage, so I didn't bother. I'm super happy I didn't f-it up, because my old lady shaky hands, were shaking more than usual the day I decided to sand off some of the dropping. I still could shave a bit more off, but I feel like I want to keep him like this for a while longer. Who knows, I might improve painting miniatures so, so much I might not need to mod him to make him look perfect! (; Lol!

If only sewing as "easy" as modifying things for me. I would trade sandpaper for a needle anytime! I am terrible at sewing, and I never cared about it before. Now, at this scale, I want to punch the wall! DX

Bunny hands v2.1! This time with the help of @sugru ! 😄 Sugru’s texture is really soft & sticky (almost like air clay except sugru doesn’t expand as much). I ended up sculpting a skeleton using blutack before layering Sugru on top of it (black for body & arms, white for hands). Sugru sets firm yet still with some memory (thanks to the internal blutack), and it doesn’t break as easily as air clay. On today's #stockpilesaturday I wanted to showcase my favourite blasters for attack and defence: "Orange Crusher" is a Stryfe with a Flipfury fused behind it as a stock thanks to a custom aluminum chassis I cut by hand. Both offer fast fire-rates and have a fairly even ballance of dart capacity between quiet spring-launched shots as well as furious flywheel firepower! More of my Leon's progress. I just cleaned the eyes a bit further, mostly made the sclera a bit lighter. I don't feel like they were that dark IRL, but they photographed super red and kind of dull, and that's not accurate, so I made them lighter. They seem a lot crappier in photos, than IRL. But, I'll leave them be for now. I can always redo his paint apps, a million more times if I need to! I am happier with him for now, so now I'll focus on his top, which is not going anywhere fast. T___T;;;

I am not a fan of how he looks w/his default sculpted hair, as that is really inaccurate and there's nothing, I can do about it, but I just added it to show how not good it looks. I suck at painting sculpted hair, so that's probably one reason why it looks bad. I'm still considering purchasing more hair to make a better partial wig, but I'm kind of torn about what hair color would work, and how to pick the right one through a computer screen.

I had the brilliant idea to attempt making the first try for his top, out of PVC fabric, which I knew was a huge mistake. Still, that's what I did! Now, I'll probably just try again without finishing that attempt, because I know it's going to be a nightmare putting it on the body. All the heaps of PVC fabric I own are non-stretch...>___>;;; I at least created a semi-useable pattern, so I can just attempt another top with different fabric. Problem is, I am not sure what to use, I hate to go with lycra, but that's probably what I'll have to do. I made one a million years ago, for my first custom RE4 1:6 Leon, but I didn't like how it looked nor photographed. It wasn't just my terrible sewing attempts, it's just not the right fabric. However, neoprene is out of the question since 1mm is the thinnest they make the fabric at, and that's way too bulky for a 1:6 action figure...DX
