okay not to hunger games post on main AGAIN but. i just know snow was shitting his pants every single day of the 74th hunger games and that’s what makes the theories that prim was preselected or the capitol was watching katniss so dumb because snow spent 60 years literally gaslighting himself into believing that he killed lucy gray and no one remembered her. and in those 60 years only one (1) tribute from district 12 won the hunger games. so of course he’d gotten comfortable and really believed that even though he still didn’t know what happened to lucy gray, even in district 12 they don’t know or care about her. but then some random 12 year old gets reaped in district 12 and her sister volunteers for her. and her sister’s name is katniss, which of course he knows is kind of a desperate, starving person’s sort of plant in district 12, because lucy gray told him about it, but that’s just a coincidence. she DOES kind of remind him of her, but that’s probably just because they both have dark hair and they’re both from district 12 and she really made an impact at the reaping. but then she allies herself with the little girl from district 11 who has no chance of winning, so she’s not just using rue as a means to an end, she really cares about her. and then when rue dies, she sings the meadow song as she covers her body with flowers. and the meadow song, well, that was one of lucy gray’s songs, and he didn’t think anyone still knew any of lucy gray’s songs. and then she fucking WINS, and everyone in the capitol loves her and peeta and prim, and at the crowning ceremony she’s wearing a mockingjay pin, and of course she couldn’t possibly know what it means to him, and when he compliments it she says “thank you. it’s from my district.” and that’s just in the hunger games! not even to mention that the symbol of the districts’ revolution is a mockingjay, and katniss becomes that symbol, and eventually it is lucy gray’s mockingjay that takes him down.
like lucy gray’s impact fr. he DID succeed in erasing her, no one in district 12 remembers her, but they do remember the songs and the birds, and snow realizes that he could never fully erase her. probably anyone in district 12 could tell you about the mockingjays.
#and that’s the POINT like. he tried to kill her and the mockingjays but didn’t realize how much of her story would become a part of district#12 culture. probably anyone from the seam could’ve known the meadow song or the hanging tree. he has NO WAY of knowing.#he did just so happen to get katniss but in his mind theoretically if katniss and peeta and haymitch know about the mockingjay#who else in district 12 does???#and i didn’t even get into sejanus and everything!!!!#it’s soooo greek tragedy……. the woman he loved and his best friend that he thought he had destroyed every trace of#are the ones that come back to haunt him in the revolution.#his fate is set from the first moment he’s assigned to lucy gray!#i love it.#sorry this is so long#peyton.txt#the hunger games#the ballad of songbirds and snakes

a lot of these are very subtle bc my colouring approach in most cases is not to change too much and only to enhance the colours of the original scene !
#first one i think u can kinda see that focus on the left side of the tree#third one focus on kan's face u can see the line there#and also korn's suit as he moves !#peteporsche it's smackdab in the middle if u look really closely#and then last one look at his nose vs his right eye u can kinda see it there#but yeah it's very subtle ! but it does make such a difference in the final product#thank u for tagging me this was so fun !#also i tried so hard to find some non kp examples lmao#tag games

i am sure multiple dozens of people would disagree with me but i LOOVE to think that zagreus eventually surpasses achilles' level of skill. im not actually sure if its stated in canon if zag can consistently beat him in a fight but like. all zag has is time. and hes 3/4 god, whereas achilles is uhh. either half nereid point blank period or like 1/8 god 7/8 nymph depending on the source BUT REGARDLESS i wouldnt say hes as divine as zagreus. like in a game of cards i think god overrules nymph but thats just me. anyway i love the idea that it does take time but zagreus does eventually pass achilles in terms of strength/tactics/speed but maybe im just incredibly biased. gets off my soapbox

it's been literally a day since revisiting new leaf but I want everyone to know I'm having an insane time so far
#chatty!#I have peaches again which is so sad for me. but i didnt wanna keep resetting#bc i sold the old town and the dialogue takes forever#my villager line up is vesta moe ribbot annalise and elvis. like are u kidding? thats insane#now that its day 2 my smug set up a plot. its eugene. like are u KIDDING me? i didnt even do that#ive already caught a bunch of the rare fish and bugs. no stags bc i have no palm trees yet#but i did get giant stag and scarab beetle. already got my gar. 2 even#i just saw my first scorpion but i did not catch him bc i tried going a different way around a tree so i could see#and he was just fuckin gone. but I Saw Him.#like what the fuck is going on. my villagers are still giving me tutorial dialogue. nh could never#reese was buying turnips at 128 on my first day which is so funny. i already got a trash can#im beating the game actually and it has literally been 2 days
