something i do miss about beginning era covid was the virtual con thing, like i was in the magic show fandom at the time and the atmosphere on twitter & discord was absolutely impeccable on virtual meet days :' )

The new sequel series Frasier is getting mixed reviews, but as someone who loved the original series and saw every episode at least half a dozen times, I really loved the first two episodes of the new series. Some of it is sitcom-silly and over-the-top, and I wish Trevor Einhorn had been cast as Freddy again, but overall the new ensemble cast works well, and I like the new characters. I laughed out loud several times during the two episodes, which doesn’t always happen with me and sitcoms. I’m sure I’m not the only fan who immediately saw the parallel between the title of the first episode (“The Good Father”) and the title of the very first episode of Frasier back in 1993 (“The Good Son”). I found Frasier’s conversation with Freddy about Martin Crane, and the tribute to John Mahoney at the end of episode 1, to be very moving. And as a fan of large gay men, I was glad to see actor Kevin Daniels in episode 2. I hope he will be a regular on the show.
