Do you carry any other fun and whimsical things in your purse besides the brass measuring tools? can we see them??
"What do I carry in my purse" is actually a really long answer! Not very whimsical though.

I don't carry a very large purse but it is actually jam-packed with stuff. Obviously the usual—credit cards, ID, badge, money, car keys.
But the rest is taken up by a tidy little lineup of things that are useless 99% of the time and crucial 1% of the time. Some of it (most of the top row) floats loose in my purse; most of the bottom row packs into the little bag there. My sketchbook du jour is usually carried separately.

So: top row:
Sketchbook and the little brass drafting tools, which I carry inside the sketchbook, and also a little metal ruler that has honestly become redundant.
Then, a bunch of pens and marking tools: A ballpoint, some pencils, paint pen, permanent marker, white gel pens, white paint pen, white mechanical pencil, and eraser. This varies depending on what I'm working on and what I've absently left in the wrong place.
Some lip gloss, hand sanitizer, concealer, chapstick, nail polish, and heavy lotion (clay dries your hands out SO hard) and a hair pin. Usually there are several sword shaped hair pins also; I took them out while working on a project and they'll migrate back when I'm done.
Headphones, a couple knives, and a tiny foldable gerber multitool. A little flat card multitool, with a heavy needed shoved into its case also, and a pack of clear sticky notes.
A two-port USB brick; I usually also carry a power bank but it's charging in the car right now.
My change purse and my wallet, which is just the IDs; my actual cards are in a pocket in the purse that also has a little nail kit. My car keys, which have a bottle opener and a combined window breaker-seatbelt cutter, a 64 gig USB key, and keys to my studio, house, garage, and the courthouse.

The bag itself is metal mesh, which means it’s durable but also somewhat see-thru.
That little tin is a tiny first aid kit, which probably I should have unpacked, but it's got bandaids, bandages, skin tape, blistex; antiseptic, itch, and burn cream; eyedrops; several small packets of common meds (tylenol, advil, etc) and a little folded chart for meds, since I’m terrible at remembering which can be taken with which; a breath mask. There's also a razor and some safety pins tucked in there. It's held shut with a hair tie.
There's some single-use earplugs and some zip ties, some more eye drops, and a tiny vial of liquid breath mint.
A deck of mini playing cards.
A tiny sewing kit--needles, pins, earring backs and pin backs, some heavy black thread on a bobbin, a measuring tape, and some foldable scissors. There's a couple glasses screws in there from before I had Lasik.
Another little multitool, some binder clips, a tiny level, a 120 gig USB, and some bobby pins.
Matches and a lighter, a flat pen, and coils of 20 lb fishing line, picture wire, and monofilament, as well as two short USB cords.
A tide pen and a glasses screwdriver.
The bag contains cardboard strips with several yards of tape: Electrical, packing, scotch, duct, gaff, and skin tape. Superglue. A spare piece of heavy cardboard to use as a cutting surface if needed.
An Xacto knife with the blade reversed (learned my lesson after jamming my hand into my bag and taking a chunk out of a finger when a springloaded switchblade opened itself) and spare blades.
Some more clear sticky notes and a tiny lined notebook for when I just need scratch paper.

My car actually includes two slightly different emergency bags—one for regular roadside emergencies (including emergencies in blizzard weather) and one for camping emergencies, and a bit more of an extensive first aid kit.

Why Orion Bar 7500 is the Ultimate Game-Changer in the Vaping World
When I first heard about Orion Bar Vapes, I was curious but skeptical. There are so many vape products on the market that it takes something genuinely different to catch my attention. But after trying the Orion Bar 7500, I can say it lives up to the hype. In this post, I'm sharing why I believe the Orion Bar 7500 is a real game-changer in the vaping world.

What Problems Do Most Vapers Face?
Before diving into what makes the Orion Bar 7500 stand out, let me walk you through some common issues I faced as a regular vaper:
Limited puff counts that don’t last more than a few days
Inconsistent flavors that fade too quickly
Complicated devices with too many settings
Flavors that promise a lot but deliver very little
Hard-to-find quality disposable vapes nearby
I wanted something that was simple, reliable, flavorful, and long-lasting. That’s when I came across Orion Bar Vapes.
How Orion Bar 7500 Solves Those Problems
After using the Orion Bar 7500 for a few weeks, I noticed it addressed almost every issue I had with other vapes. Here’s how:
Up to 7500 puffs per device, which means I don't need to keep buying replacements every few days
Consistent flavor from the first puff to the last
No buttons or confusing settings—just inhale and enjoy
Compact and travel-friendly
Available at several local vape stores, making it easy to find "Orion Bar Vape near me"
The more I used it, the more I appreciated the straightforward performance and reliable flavor quality.
Real-World Features That Matter
I’m not a fan of overcomplicating things, so I look for practical features. The Orion Bar 7500 checked all the boxes:
18mL e-liquid capacity
650mAh rechargeable battery with USB-C charging
Mesh coil for smooth vapor production
Adjustable airflow for tailored inhale experience
Nicotine strength of 5% for those who prefer a stronger hit
These aren’t just technical specs; they translate into real benefits. I get longer use, a better taste, and smoother clouds.

How to Organize a Business Backpack for Work Efficiency?
our business backpack is more than just a way to carry your stuff—it’s a mobile command center that can either streamline your workday or leave you fumbling for what you need. By organizing it smartly, you can maximize efficiency and minimize stress. Here’s a step-by-step guide to organizing your business backpack for optimal work performance.
1. Start with the Right Backpack
Before diving into organization, ensure your backpack suits your needs. Look for:
A dedicated laptop compartment.
Multiple organizational pockets.
A professional design that complements your work environment.
2. Categorize Your Essentials
Break down what you carry into categories:
Tech Gear: Laptop, charger, mouse, headphones, USB drives.
Work Documents: Notebooks, folders, printed materials.
Daily Essentials: Wallet, keys, phone, water bottle, snacks.
Personal Items: Medication, hand sanitizer, business cards, toiletries.
This step helps you understand what goes where.
3. Use the Compartments Wisely
Most business backpacks come with multiple compartments. Assign each one a purpose:
Laptop Compartment: Keep your laptop and tablet here. Use padded sleeves for protection.
Main Compartment: Store larger items like notebooks, folders, or binders. Use slim document holders to keep papers wrinkle-free.
Accessory Pockets: Use small internal pockets for tech accessories like cables, power banks, and USB drives.
Quick-Access Pockets: Reserve these for items you grab frequently, such as your phone, keys, or travel passes.
Side Pockets: Ideal for water bottles or umbrellas.
4. Invest in Organizers
To avoid clutter, consider these add-ons:
Cable Management Pouches: Keep chargers, adapters, and cables tangle-free.
Slim Tech Cases: Organize smaller gadgets like earbuds, USB drives, and portable chargers.
Document Folders: Maintain order in your main compartment.
5. Prioritize Accessibility
Pack your backpack in layers based on how frequently you need each item:
Top Layer: Quick-access items like your phone, wallet, or a pen.
Middle Layer: Items you’ll use during the day, such as notebooks or a lunchbox.
Bottom Layer: Items you won’t need until later, like an extra charger or a raincoat.
6. Use the Weight-Balance Rule
Heavy items like laptops or books should be packed close to your back. This reduces strain and makes the backpack feel lighter. Place lighter items in outer compartments.
7. Maintain a Charging System
If your backpack has a built-in USB charging port, connect your power bank to it for on-the-go charging. Keep cables neatly coiled in a dedicated pouch.
8. Review and Refresh Weekly
Clutter can sneak in over time. Make it a habit to clean out your backpack at the end of each week. Remove unnecessary items, restock essentials, and reevaluate your setup.
Sample Packing Layout
Here’s a sample layout for a typical business day:
Laptop Compartment: Laptop and tablet.
Main Compartment: Notebook, folder, lunchbox.
Accessory Pockets: Chargers, cables, power bank.
Quick-Access Pocket: Keys, phone, wallet.
Side Pocket: Water bottle.
Final Thoughts
An organized backpack isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a tool to boost your productivity and reduce stress. With a thoughtful approach, you’ll always know exactly where everything is, leaving you free to focus on what matters most.

Another kinky idea- having a threesome with Bucky & Steve in a place where there’s a possibility of being caught or watched. Oh! And Bucky making you wear one of those app controlled vibes during a party and he keeps you on edge all night
It was a Tuesday night, post mission.
Your body was still sore from your near death from the explosion of a hand grenade that had thrown you thirty yards out the window of a dingy hydra facility.
You knew it was stupid of you to risk it all for a slim hope of at least some kind of usable intel.
Everyone knew you were stubborn, that you would put yourself on the line regardless of any risk, just to adquire some kind of insight into making everything in the world just a little bit better.
They always gave you tough love for it.
Nat’s disappointed glance as you limped up into the quinjet mixed with Tony’s death glare already exhausted you enough to not want to hear any of it.
You already knew what they were thinking inside their heads.
Sam seemed to be the only one who offered somewhat of a smile as he snatched the USB out of your right hand that was scraped and scratched from the debris.
The eyes that you knew were the angriest, you’d avoided like the plague. You could feel the hard stare of two pair of blues on you. And you knew you would get disciplined for it later.
You crossed your legs in your seat and squeezed your thighs tightly together to try and make the ache in your core swell down.
You moaned just briefly when your little clit grazed harshly against the fabric of your underwear.
When you had gotten to your room after you arrived, you had half expected them to show up within the hour. You sat on your bed, waiting...begging as you stared at the door.
Three hours had passed and then four. Eventually, you gave up on waiting, and just assumed that tonight they wouldn’t come up to your room.
After a hot shower and after watching some TV, you decided to make your way into the kitchen for a snack.
You were halfway through making a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich when you felt strong hands on your hips.
His body pressed you firmly against the counter, making you drop the butter knife that was in your hand.
You felt him rut against your ass, followed by his hot breath on your neck.
“You don’t learn, do you?”
Bucky.
Your eyes close tightly together as your left hand grips the counter in front of you, your knuckles going lighter than your skin color at how hard you were grabbing it.
“Gotta fucking fuck this pussy to teach you to stop doing stupid shit, huh?”
His left arm stretched around you and you let out a groan as you felt him palm you through your sweats.
“Bucky.”
His pointer finger dragged across your aching clit through your pants and you thrust your hips harder against his hand.
“That’s it, baby. Say my name just like that,” you whimpered as his hand left your center to pull at the band of your sweats. He pulled it down just enough along with your panties to where he could easily slide into you, “you think it’s cute? Almost getting yourself killed for a damn Intel? God, if it didn’t make me want to bend you over even more.”
There was a pause in his movements and then a shuffling of feet behind you. Aside from the refrigerator, it was now quiet enough to where you could tell another person had added themselves into your little party.
The sounds of manly moans, groans, and then a peck of lips behind you made you throw your head back just far enough to where it fell against Bucky’s right peck.
“Touch my cock, Steve.” Bucky’s plead made your pupils grow black.
You spun around quickly until you were face to face with the two super soldiers. Steve’s lips were attached to Bucky’s neck, but his eyes still flickered up to meet yours.
You leaned in and gave Bucky a wet kiss as you felt Steve’s hand at the front of Bucky’s sweats, pulling them down.
Bucky returned your kiss eagerly as Steve fucked him with his hand. Bucky whimpered into your mouth, his own hand now going to your wet core.
If it weren’t for the knife falling from the countertop as Bucky lifted you ontop of it, you wouldn’t have even remembered you were in the kitchen and anyone could walk in any moment.
The sudden reality of the position you were in should’ve scared you, but all it did was drive you even further into the deep feeling of lust as you allowed Bucky to open your legs up to him.
Your right hand was wrapped around his neck and you looked down as he grabbed his hard dick that was already purple, dragging it up and down your silky folds. He taps it a few times against your bundle of nerves before he slides into you with a loud gasp.
You lean yourself back on your left arm, your hair cascades down your back, the ends of it dragging across the kitchen countertop.
“She’s so damn tight, Steve,” Bucky whimpers through rosy lips as he starts to thrust into you at a calm pace.
“You guys look so pretty just like this,” Steve whispers as he now spreads his own precum around the head of his aching dick, “show her, Buck. Show her how angry we get when she risks her life.”
“God, yes.” Bucky groans deep in his throat as his thrusts quicken against you, his thumb going to your clit as he rubs harsh circles there, “Mmm so good. Oh my god.”
Your eyes open slightly through your euphoric gaze and you look over to see Steve slide into Bucky, his eyebrows furrowing together in immense pleasure.
You lick your hand and you reach your right hand down to your center to help Bucky rub yourself harder. You lift your right foot onto the counter, exposing yourself even more to them and the pleasure you feel makes you groan.
“Rub her clit, baby, rub it faster.” Steve pants against Bucky’s neck as Bucky rams himself even harder into you. Bucky obeys Steve’s command, “Faster. Yes.”
You feel the coil in your pussy about to burst, the pleasure becoming almost too much for you to handle and you know you’re only a few thrusts from the best orgasm of your life.
“God, I’m gonna cum.”
You literally spit out through gritted teeth.
Bucky’s brows come together as his fingers dig into your hips and a loud groan escapes his mouth.
“Yes. Yes. Yes.” He pants almost pathetically, “Fucking cum on my cock.”
The dirty talk is too much for Steve and he’s grunts out loud as he feels his balls tighten. Quickly, he pulls out of Bucky and walks around until he’s standing between you and Bucky and he strokes himself quickly, aiming directly at your throbbing pussy.
As soon as his white spurts hit your pubic bone, you’re screaming at the top of your lungs, your walls tightening around Bucky deliciously.
Cumming viciously.
Bucky’s mouth opens again as he groans out loud, grunting maniacally as he feels himself about to cum. He lowers his hand down to his balls and he cups himself there, screaming.
Steve’s lips are on his neck and Bucky’s head is leaned back as he curses over and over and over again.
You feel his seed fill you up, coating your walls in heavy spurts, and it’s warm and oh so good.
Little did you know Sam was standing at the entrance to the kitchen, watching the entire thing go down.

MSN has partnered with The Points Guy for our coverage of credit card products. MSN and The Points Guy may receive a commission from card issuers.
If you’re a frequent flyer, choosing a carry-on bag can be a serious commitment. It is, after all, something you’re going to use for days — possibly even weeks — at a time during your travels.
Even if you’re not a regular road warrior, it’s important to have a carry-on bag that will support your travel goals.
For more TPG news delivered each morning to your inbox, sign up for our daily newsletter.
Whether you fly once a week or once a year, you’ll want a carry-on with room and versatility, so it can accommodate everything you’re packing. It’s important for it to be functional as well as eye-catching, so you can quickly identify your bag. Plus, it’s an expression of your personality and travel style.
While most of us are staying home right now in an effort to flatten the curve so life can return to normal as quickly as is safely possible, now might be a great time to do some retail therapy while simultaneously building up your reward balances so you’ll have plenty of points and miles to burn when it’s time to travel again.
Before you press “confirm purchase,” though, do yourself a favor and check out our guides to airline shopping portals as well as the best credit cards for online shopping. That way, the gear you’re buying for your next trip is helping you actually get there, too.

Why we love it: Calpak’s Ambeur carry-on is a favorite among TPG editors. It’s a four-wheel spinner that’s stylish and functional, with plenty of pockets to store and organize all your essentials. It’s also somewhat less expensive than the competitive Away suitcase — but more on that in a minute. Calpak bags also have a TSA-approved lock and an interior accessory pocket. It doesn’t have a portable charger, though, so keep that in mind if that feature is important to you. You can choose between rose gold, gold, black and silver.
Sizing: 22 inches by 14 inches by 8.5 inches
Pricing: The bag retails for $165, and you can get a 15% discount by signing up for emails with Calpak. Other retailers sell it as well, including Shopbop and Nordstrom — both of which frequently run sales on their merchandise.

Why we love it: You’ll no doubt be making a statement with your Rimowa bag, which is beloved by stylish jetsetters around the world. The essential cabin bag is made of polycarbonate material and has a removable and adjustable divider to keep all your belongings organized, in addition to a TSA-approved lock and four wheels that spin in every direction. This bag may not be cheap, but it’s guaranteed to withstand trip after trip. It’s very lightweight, too, so you’ll never feel like you’re lugging a piece of, well, luggage.
Sizing: 9.1 inches by 15.8 inches by 21.7 inches
Pricing: All of these fancy features come with a pretty hefty price tag: $640, to be exact.

Why we love it: This is the duffel you’re going to want to take with you no matter what type of trip you’re going on. It’s large enough to fit the bill for a long weekend getaway, but not so big that it’s cumbersome. Its key features are removable, adjustable straps (so you can wear it like a backpack); a surprising number of pockets and compartments; compression straps (for over-packers) and a rugged, water-resistant nylon that takes the worry out of your adventures. But, just in case, it comes with a lifetime warranty.
Sizing: This version fits 50 liters.
Pricing: You’ll find it on the North Face’s website for $120.

Why we love it: Tumi has established a stellar reputation for itself, and this four-wheel spinner carry-on lives up to expectations. It features a ton of pockets, including a large front U-zip pocket with security zipper, another front U-zip pocket and a front straight-zip pocket. There’s a built-in USB port and a TSA-combination lock, too. In the interior, you’ll find three more zip pockets, compression straps and large mesh zip pocket. It’s got all the bells and whistles.
Sizing: This carry-on is only available in one size: 9 inches by 14 inches by 22 inches.
Pricing: Tumi’s products don’t come cheap, and this bag is no exception. It’ll cost you $750. The good news, though, is Tumi is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue — so if you haven’t used your $50 biannual credit (up to $100 every year), courtesy of The Platinum Card® from American Express, this is a great way to knock down the price.

It can even carry loads up to a whopping 50 pounds, and is equipped with a detachable daypack if you’re looking to travel a little lighter throughout your trip. It comes in a small/medium size as well as a medium/large size and is available in both black and red.

Why we love it: Paravel’s vintage-inspired luggage looks like it came straight from the TWA Hotel. Better yet, it’s made with a recycled nylon lining, a lightweight exterior and an aircraft-grade aluminum handle. Its four, frictionless carbon steel wheels ensure an effortless trip from the airport to the hotel, and it also boasts an interior compression board and TSA-approved lock to make sure all your valuables stay safe and secure in transit. This backpack has enough storage to keep your item organized for the entirety of your trip, and it easily fits up to a 15-inch laptop. More traditional travelers will probably opt for this bag in black, but there’s also a purple smoke shade and a “razzmatazz” color that caught our eye. It has two wheels if you’d rather use those during your journey instead of wearing it on your back.
Sizing: 19.5 inches by 13.5 inches by 8 inches
Pricing: You can buy it for $82.99 on High Sierra’s website and get an additional 20% off your first order by signing up for emails.

Why we love it: The Away carry-on is a fan favorite for a reason. Not only is it stylish and durable, but we’re big fans of the TSA-approved lock, four 360-degree wheels and portable charger. You don’t know how badly you need a charger in the airport until all of the seats at the lounge are occupied and you’re on 9% battery. There’s also a hidden compression system that can expand (or contract) your bag as needed, as well as a hidden laundry bag. Away’s carry-on bags come in a multitude of colors, and keep an eye out for various limited-edition shades, too.
Sizing: The Carry-On is 21.7 inches by 13.7 inches by 9 inches. The Bigger Carry-On is 22.7 inches by 14.7 inches by 9.6 inches.
Pricing: Away charges $225 for The Carry-On and $245 for The Bigger Carry-On.

Why we love it: Target’s new luggage line, Open Story, made a splash when it launched earlier this year, and the Weekender Bag is affordable, sturdy and stylish. Really, it looks more expensive than it is! You’ll love all the compartments to keep your items organized for your next trip.
Sizing: 12.5 inches by 18 inches by 10 inches, and can hold up to 45 liters
Pricing: It’s $79.99 on Target’s website.

It’s sleek yet functional with a deep interior for everything you need (and let’s be real, don’t need) to pack. It features self-repairing, durable YKK® Racquet coil zippers, and the fabric is water-repellent and abrasion-resistant. But best of all, this bag can expand up to 25% and compress down when less space is needed.
Sizing: 19.5 inches by 14 inches by 8 inches
Pricing: You’ll find Briggs and Riley’s domestic carry-on directly on their website. It costs $599.

Why we love it: We dare you to find a more sleek-looking duffel bag than this. Its style isn’t the only thing going for it — it will also fit all of your essentials (and then some) for weekend or overnight trips, usually with room to spare. It’s crafted from premium Ethiopian full-grain leather, and comes in black, bordeaux, dark brown and rust brown. You can blame it on us if people keep coming up to you at the airport asking where you got it.
Sizing: 19 inches by 11 inches by 11 inches, and weighs 2.5 pounds
Pricing: The duffel is $288 on Parker Clay’s website. It’s on sale for $202 in the bordeaux color.
© The Points Guy (Photo courtesy of Samsonite)
Why we love it: Samsonite’s been a longtime favorite of frequent travelers, thanks to the brand’s innovative yet practical designs. The Noviare carry-on shows off a fully lined interior featuring multiple organizational pockets and a removable hanging organizer for toiletries, plus a TSA-approved lock and four 360-degree spinner wheels. You can choose from silver, rose gold, metallic green or black.
Sizing: 29.25 inches by 19.75 inches by 12 inches
Pricing: The bag retails for $390 on Samsonite’s website, but you can get it for 50% off with code “SAVE”.
© The Points Guy (Photo courtesy of Eagle Creek)
Why we love it: If you’re not the backpack type but still want something lightweight, this two-wheeled bag is going to be your new go-to. It’s made of abrasion-resistant materials to keep you moving no matter where you’re headed, and is just compact enough that you can easily take it with you everywhere. If you end up taking a more traditional carry-on or even a suitcase with you, you’ll love the trolley sleeve that slides easily over the handlebars. It comes in a handful of colors, including black, red, navy and gray.
Sizing: 13.75 inches by 14.5 inches by 8.5 inches
Pricing: It retails for $169 on Eagle Creek’s website, but you can find it for $119.95 on Sunny Sports.
How to select the best carry-on
Selecting a carry-on comes down to your travel goals This is an item you’re going to get a lot of mileage out of, and it’s important that it fits and organizes all of your essentials while also expressing your personality and accommodating your travel style.
You’ll also want to make sure it’s an item you enjoy taking with you on trips. If you’re heading straight from the airport to a business meeting, you may want to stick with a slick spinner. If you need complete versatility, you may prefer a bag that can transition from a duffel or rollaboard into a backpack.
The last key component, of course, is your budget. Carry-ons range greatly in price, so decide what the maximum you’re willing to spend is, and go from there.
Benefits of traveling with a carry-on
Traveling with a carry-on instead of a large suitcase can make your journey so much more efficient. Gone are the days of waiting at baggage claim, or fretting during a flight that the airline lost your luggage during your connection.
By taking a carry-on with you, you’re in control of your time and belongings — and you can start your trip on your terms.
Traveling with a carry-on only can also help you avoid pesky checked-baggage fees. In fact, airlines collected $2.8 billion in bag fees in the first half of 2019 alone.

The next-generation PlayStation is officially titled PlayStation 5 and will launch in holiday 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced.
In a newly published Wired article, Sony shared more details on the platform with a specific focus on its new controller:
PlayStation 5 supports ray-tracing. This is not a software-level fix. “There is ray-tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware,” system architect Mark Cerny said, “which I believe is the statement that people were looking for.”
Physical games will use 100 gigabyte optical discs, which are inserted into an optical drive that doubles as a 4K Blu-ray player.
Game installation is mandatory, but a bit different than game installation on PlayStation 4. Installation and removal is a more configurable process. “Rather than treating games like a big block of data, we’re allowing finer-grained access to the data,” Cerny said. For example, you may be able to install just a game’s multiplayer campaign, and leave the single-player campaign for later. Or install the whole thing and delete the single-player campaign when you have finished.
The user interface has been completely revamped. “Even though it will be fairly fast to boot games, we don’t want the player to have to boot the game, see what’s up, boot the game, see what’s up,” Cerny said. “Multiplayer game servers will provide the console with the set of joinable activities in real time. Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them—and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. As a player you just jump right into whatever you like.”
The PlayStation 5 controller looks like the DualShock 4, but has a little hole in it, which Cerny said will be discussed at a later time. One of its new features is the “adaptive triggers,” which offer varying levels of resistance, and can make shooting a bow feel authentic in that the tension increases as you pull the arrow back, or make shooting a machine gun feel different from shooting a shotgun. It also has haptic feedback “far more capable” than the rumble motors of current controllers, with “highly programmable” voice-coil actuators in the left and right grips of the controller.
Sony demonstrated the controller features with demos of Astro Bot: Rescue Mission and Gran Turismo Sport. Here are Wired’s impressions:
The PlayStation 5 controller uses a USB Type-C connector for charging and has a larger-capacity battery. While a bit heavier than the DualShock 4, it will still be a bit lighter than the current Xbox controller “with batteries in it.”
A number of studios already have PlayStation 5 development kits, and the controller prototypes began rolling out more recently.
Shadow of the Colossus developer Bluepoint Games is working on a PlayStation 5 title. “We’re working on a big one right now,” said Bluepoint Games president Marco Thrush. “I’ll let you figure out the rest.” He added, “The SSD has me really excited. You don’t need to do gameplay hacks anymore to artificially slow players down—lock them behind doors, anything like that. Back in the cartridge days, games used to load instantly; we’re kind of going back to what consoles used to be.”
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission – “I ran a character through a platform level featuring a number of different surfaces, all of which gave distinct—and surprisingly immersive—tactile experiences. Sand felt slow and sloggy; mud felt slow and soggy. On ice, a high-frequency response made the thumb sticks really feel like my character was gliding. Jumping into a pool, I got a sense of the resistance of the water; on a wooden bridge, a bouncy sensation.”
Gran Turismo Sport – “Driving on the border between the track and the dirt, I could feel both surfaces. Doing the same thing on the same track using a DualShock 4 on a PS4, that sensation disappeared entirely. It wasn’t that the old style rumble feedback paled in comparison, it was that there was no feedback at all. User tests found that rumble feedback was too tiring to use continuously, so the released version of Gran Turismo Sport simply didn’t use it.”
While PlayStation 5 is still more than a year away, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan said in a PlayStation Blog post that there are still “plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4, including Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima.”
