the stan conspiracy board my love....
his birth certificate being marked as fake fascinates me though...... i wonder if he managed to alter it (apparently they mention if you're a twin?)
it is funny that the only thing under "illegal acts" is him trying to steal the animatronic badger but i guess that's the main thing that first caught the agent's attention (other than stan helping the kids break into the minigolf course)
(the photo of his car only shows up in that initial shot cos it's the episode's keyword btw)

I think it’d be funny if instead of stds transformers got malware. Like imagine you don’t use protection and you get the You Are An Idiot virus blaring out your speakers, or someone uses a hookup to infect you with a crypto mining program.
Would it be MTI (Malware Transmitted by Interface) or ITM (Interface Transmitted Malware)? 🤔
(would probably still categorize under STI though)
I will admit my first thought was Starscream looking both very embarrassed and very mad in Hook's medbay with Star's speakers up so loud they're staticky😔 (a certain someone who's been interfacing with Earth technology is going to get a serious talking to)
Fucking someone to mine cryptocurrency has to be a top tier asshole move to do

I can’t believe how frustrating it is to import and share files among different devices is in this, the year of our lord 2025. If you scan directly but wirelessly to iPad, or even try to digitally share a high quality file you scanned elsewhere, even BETWEEN apple devices with their own airdrop system, the file quality is DRASTICALLY reduced and there’s nothing you can do about it! And if you google why this is happening, the answer is “our products don’t do that so it can’t be happening and don’t worry about it :)”

Here is a cool little gadget I'd never heard of before. It's a temperature datalogger. It lasts 60 days. Sadly I think it may be disposable (but I'd imagine rechargeable versions exist. )
Suppose you are shipping fruit across the country and you've paid extra to have the trucks chilled down to 65F. How do you know they didn't ship them at 75F and only lower the temp fully just before arrival?
Hide this bad boy in your shipment, then check the USB for data on arrival.
Tumblr media
They cost about $4 each.
I'm fascinated by things like this for reasons I can't possibly articulate.
I almost bought one just to try it out and take it apart... but instead I'll just tell ya'll about it... I bet there are other interesting ways to use such a device. For example... you could detect if a chair is being sat in or not by putting it inside of a pillow...

So we’ve seen Vika vaping/smoking… how did he get into it? Is it an attempt to feel something?
yee hes a smoker. when his senses were a bit better, he was able to taste cigs/feel the burn on his tongue but with increased numbing he switched to heat sticks (not vapes, he doesnt vape. theyre not the same and look different too) since its less messy. smoking is only a habit now

Wilma again
I have ongoing issues with the Linux Mint installation on the laptop I use for software development and blogging.
You may recall I tried upgrading to version 22 (code name: Wilma), encountered a graphics regression, and had to revert the upgrade using TimeShift. Since then, my Linux experience hasn't been quite right. While troubleshooting an issue, I uninstalled Python; this broke APT, causing routine software updates to fail.
Yesterday I created a new partition on the HDD and attempted a clean install of Wilma there. After several tries, I suspect that my largest USB thumb drive (NXT brand, purchased in January 2024) suffers from data corruption.
Believe it or not, my 2nd-largest thumb drive is too small to hold the 2.9 GByte ISO image, so this morning I'm off to buy a new thumb drive.

V-USB on an ATmega328! - V-USB and HID Explained
youtube
Sometimes, we only have access to microcontrollers without all of the peripherals that we need. Several cases like in the AVR line of microcontrollers involving USB support. Luckily there is a library called V-USB that allows us to bit-bang USB support into our projects.

The good news is my smart typewriter arrived, the bad news is its battery is deceased
#basically i tried to turn it on right out of the box and it did not respond at all#so i put it on charge and left it for like 10 minutes; at which point it did turn right on when i pressed the power button#i did the quick start stuff and postbox works fine; send to email works fine; all the keys seem to work and it did a firmware update#which fixed the tiny bit of lag the screen had at first#i’m constantly hitting the wrong keys but i do that on any keyboard til i’m used to it. it’s a nice keyboard#the only thing is when i checked how charging was going just now; the battery percentage was still showing 1%. 🧐#it’s been charging for well over an hour and a half#i did a restart and switched to what i think is an optimal charger#(i.e. the usb cable that came with the device + the usb-c wall plug that came with my ipad#not the charging lead for my earbuds + a random wonky samsung plug which is what i was using before)#i’m also going to fully stop bothering it until probably like late in the evening at minimum#i SHOULD be working technically#in my defence i didn’t expect it to arrive so soon. tracking never updated so i thought it was stuck at a random international depot#when actually it made it to heathrow like 2 days ago#look i’m just going to try and count my blessings that everything aside from the battery is working beautifully right now#and if i was a lithium battery left in transit for like 10 days i’d probably die too#worst case scenario i’m just going to have to exclusively use the thing while it’s plugged in. and it has a long cable.. i’ll be fine#personal

Little Cathala headshot I drew on the flight out to Europe.
Tumblr media
This is the one and only digital piece I made on that trip lmao because I realized once I got out there my outlet adapter was European -> USB, not European -> American (which would have allowed me to charge my USB-C devices, of which my iPad is one). And I didn't want to bother with buying an adapter for my adapter. That's okay though, I enjoyed sketching in my notebook throughout the trip. You can expect to see the best of those digitally rendered and posted in the near future :)
