((or, Klaus calls for bail. Could be one of his siblings, or could be a wrong number call! Open to anyone 21+))

“You're receiving a call from [T H E C I T Y] Police Department,” a robotic voice announced to the answering machine. After a moment, a beep followed, and the somewhat manic voice of Klaus Hargreeves took over.

“Heeeey, my best sibling! It's me, your favorite brother—! Listen, you know, uh—remember the old dive bar, down the street from Griddy’s? Well, the owner's an asshole, first of all. You can take that to the bank and smoke it. Apparently I was ‘disturbing the peace’ or something—” Klaus seemed to barely pause to breath, in between the lightly slurred rambling. “Swear to God—that little bitch—I was just enjoying my night when the cops showed up! I'm being—I'm being unjustly detained,” he added, raising his voice enough for said cop to hear.

In the distance, another voice could be heard. “Wrap it up, Hargreeves!”

“Listen, you gotta get me outta here. The other guy in here smells like eggs, and you know I'm a shy pooper!” Klaus quickly tried to reason. There was a pause, as the police officer said something in the background. “Alrighty, that's my cue — hey, you're gonna come get me though, right? You wouldn't leave me here, right? I'll love you forever, okay byyyye—!”

The recording cut off with a sharp click! For not the first, and definitely not the last time, Klaus was begging to be bailed out of trouble. All he could hope now was that he'd dialed the right number.

I am looking for an Umbrella Academy RP! Here is some extra information:

- as long as you are +18 you are welcome!

- the dynamics I want to focus on are either Klaus&Five or Diego&Five, I don't have any preference on which character I play

- I don't have a specific plot in mind, I'd much rather for us to build something together! It could be interesting tho, to maybe have Five in a way or another have to deal with actually being a thirteen-year-old, or some other divergence from canon that maximises them bonding. I am generally open to anything 🙌🏼

- I absolutely LOVE heavy hurt/comfort, drama and angst! In general I am open to anything, from darker themes to more light-hearted ones. I also wouldn't mind rewriting our own version of a whole season, giving a twist to the canon events and seeing where it goes! As long as we have some good sibling bonding, I am happy!

- open to both long-term and short-term RPs

- I am able to match any literacy, 2/3 paragraphs being the minimum I am looking for, but in general the longer the better

- I understand if you are busy, I am as well, so as long as you manage to type a reply every other day I can work with it! I am generally decently active

it's always something he failed at. something he did wrong. something that he was meant to know about the human condition that forty-five years of isolation hadn't taught him. he'd tried to save them all. to protect the one thing he still supposedly had. well, if you ignore the fact that by technicality his family he grew up with truly died in the apocalypse and the ones presently wandering around are a new set from the branched timeline he created jumping back.

yeah, better ignore that before he screams.

the iron grip on his latest bottle of alcohol should scream at the person who had approached him that he wasn't in the mood for conversation. let them fuck up the universe. let them feel the wrath of multiple adult children selfishly wanting their own desires instead of protecting their family.

"can i fucking help you?" the ice in his tone suggests not. especially if it is another request for a family meeting that would devolve into the five blame game. he's done with being the go to reason for what is wrong in their pitiful lives.

"Come on, I know you've got something!"

Not seeming to realize the noise he was making, Number Four carelessly throws another item aside. Worthless, at least in the eyes of every pawn shop in town. Why didn't anyone carry cash, these days? It would make this so much easier! But no, he has to sit on the floor and dig through off-brand purses, like an idiot!

Since preventing the world from ending (no big deal), Klaus was back in his natural habitat--rummaging through someone else's things. Despite having a roof over his head these days, having his siblings bickering constantly would make anyone want to fog their brain out. Not to mention the many, many ghosts tied to that place. It is easier without dear old dad, but only just. The only problem (there's never only one problem) was, saving the world didn't exactly come with a steady cash flow. But Klaus had never had that, and still made it this far. Again, at least he has a roof tonight. With a groan of frustration, he chucks another bag aside.

"Like, I get it, everyone's going digital--but cards shut off pronto now, one bad charge and boom! Felony!" To anyone else, it would look like the man was speaking to midair, pausing and listening in between responses.

"No, I know it isn't--but you gotta think about the little guys, right? We aren't the bad guys--BINGO!" A gold necklace comes out of the next bag, making his eyes shine hungrily. "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

Suddenly, Klaus realizes he isn't alone. The shadow he'd felt fall over the door had not been another spirit, come to harass him, but a very real person. With a thud, he drops the bag he'd been rifling through, but slips the jewelry into his coat pocket.

"Oh--you came just in time, look at the mess in here!" Klaus immediately deflected, as if he too had just discovered the scene. "Someone must've come through, a thief!"
