Oh definitely. And tbh I really believe the original show is lightning in a bottle that we're never really going to ever be able to replicate, at least intentionally.
I do know there WAS initially a planned Season 4 that would have explored the whole Ursa issue. Maybe it would have been better. I know that Azula was originally going to be semi-redeemed through Zuko too. So there are set ideas there...just the final result/execution were ultimately a mess imo. It's really a shame.
For the record, I do think the comics have some cool-ish concepts. But you need really tight writing/characterization for this sort of world and story and there's really no consistency here. It's part of the reason why I really don't involve myself with the series apart from just the original ATLA. It was a golden age of writing and narration we're probably never going to see again.
I don’t HATE The Search but part of me really thinks they screwed Azula over big time. Especially when it came to resolving her character arc.
Azula’s been damaged for quite a long time. She’s lost her sense of reality and is constantly torn between different feelings on her mother, brother, and so on. Say what you want about her behavior in the past but it still doesn’t change the fact that Azula is still just a young girl. A girl who NEEDED her mother’s attention. But all we ever see of her and Ursa is Ursa scolding her or failing to give her the same level of attention that she gave Zuko.
I used to really like Ursa. I mean, I recognized that she wasn’t the best mother but she certainly did love her son very much. And I know she loves Azula too but just…ugh…she didn’t even show much concern after her daughter ran off in tears into the Forgetful Valley. In Ursa’s mind, it seems that Zuko will always be her number one priority, totally forgetting that in alienating Azula (who was already a problem child) in her youth and placing all her focus on Zuko, she inadvertently made Azula even worse since it just resulted in Azula spending more time with Ozai.
I’ve heard that some people are taking issue with Zuko’s actions in the comic. I don’t really blame him though. He didn’t handle things with Azula as well as he could have but then again, you gotta remember that most of all his life, Azula has been tormenting him emotionally and psychologically. I imagine that he’d have a hard time dealing with her psychotic episodes. And I think that the fact that he actually offered her unconditional sibling love at the very end by saying that she’d always be his sister speaks miles of how much he’s willing to forgive her. Zuko at least cares about his sister and wants to put an end to her delusions. So I don’t really take much issue with the way he was written. There’s some flaws but at least he didn’t come across as a total neglectful jerk like Ursa.
Azula needs a proper conclusion to her arc. It seems that she keeps spiraling further and further down into despair but currently there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Just more darkness and tragedy. I’m hoping they bring her back eventually because I’d genuinely like to see her conflicts resolved and maybe a redemption tale. Azula’s been a horrible person but I think she’s put up with enough traumatic events. It’s time Azula got a little love and healing. The girl seriously needs it.
#Also if I sounded harsh in that initial response I'm sorry asetfvjhgkkehwrhad#Unintentional limitation of text without tone#I mean all of this extremely casually I swear lmao

Why Plagiarism Checkers Matter (and How to Use Them Like a Pro)
Let’s be real, writing something original these days can feel like walking a tightrope. With so much content already out there, it’s easier than ever to accidentally borrow someone else’s words without even realizing it.
That’s where plagiarism checkers come in.
Whether you’re a student working on a term paper, a teacher reviewing submissions, or a content writer trying to keep it clean, using a plagiarism checker is no longer optional. It’s essential. But what exactly do these tools do, and how can you use them to your advantage?
Let’s break it down.
What Is a Plagiarism Checker?
A plagiarism checker is a tool that scans your writing for similarities with existing content online and in databases. Think of it as a digital detective that highlights copied or overly similar text so you can fix it before submitting your work.
Behind the scenes, these tools use advanced algorithms and databases to match strings of text against billions of web pages, academic journals, and previously submitted papers. The result? A detailed report that shows you what’s original and what needs your attention.
Why It Matters (More Than Ever)
Plagiarism isn’t just about copying word-for-word. It can be as subtle as paraphrasing someone’s idea without proper credit, forgetting to cite a quote, or unintentionally echoing someone else’s structure or tone.
The consequences? Not fun. Students can face grade penalties or academic suspension. Professionals risk damage to their credibility, and businesses can even face legal trouble.
Using a plagiarism checker like Quetext is one of the easiest ways to stay on the safe side.
Who Should Be Using Plagiarism Checkers?
Students & Researchers:
You’re juggling deadlines, citations, and research. A quick scan with a plagiarism checker can catch issues early and give you peace of mind.
Teachers & Professors:
Detecting copy-paste jobs manually is exhausting. With a good tool, you can quickly verify authenticity and focus on teaching.
Writers & Bloggers:
Even if you write everything from scratch, it’s easy to accidentally mirror someone else’s phrasing. A checker helps maintain originality and trust.
Marketers & SEO Writers:
Google doesn’t love duplicate content. A plagiarism checker ensures your content is fresh, which is key for rankings.
Debunking a Few Plagiarism Checker Myths
“It’s only for cheaters.”
Nope. It’s actually a great learning tool. Seeing what’s flagged helps you understand how to paraphrase better and cite properly.
“It’ll catch everything.”
Not all checkers are created equal. Some scan limited databases or don’t update regularly. That’s why tools like Quetext, which use DeepSearch™ technology, offer a much more comprehensive scan.
“Paraphrasing tools make checkers useless.”
Actually, sophisticated checkers like Quetext can catch AI-paraphrased content too. So no, paraphrasing tools aren’t a free pass.
Why Quetext’s Plagiarism Checker Stands Out
Here’s where Quetext shines:
DeepSearch™ Technology: Detects both verbatim and slightly altered content.
ColorGrade™ Feedback: Makes your results super visual and easy to understand.
Citation Assistant: Helps you generate proper citations for flagged content.
Real-Time Suggestions: Gives you immediate feedback so you can edit on the spot.
Whether you’re on the free plan or using Pro, Quetext is built to keep things simple, smart, and accurate.
Tips to Avoid Unintentional Plagiarism
Take Notes in Your Own Words: When researching, rephrase ideas immediately instead of copying and pasting.
Cite Everything You Reference: Even if you change the wording, the idea still needs credit.
Use a Citation Generator: Like the one built into Quetext, it’s quick and accurate.
Double-Check Quotes: Always put them in quotation marks and cite the source.
Scan Before You Submit: One click with Quetext could save you a ton of stress later.
Final Thoughts: Make Originality a Habit
Writing original content isn’t about reinventing the wheel every time; it’s about respecting ideas, giving credit where it’s due, and standing out with your own voice.
A good plagiarism checker like Quetext doesn’t just help you avoid penalties; it helps you grow as a writer. So next time you’re about to hit "submit," give it a scan. Your future self will thank you.

Paraphrasing tools can expedite this process, enabling researchers to consolidate information efficiently while maintaining academic integrity.
Despite their numerous benefits, it's important to recognize the limitations of online paraphrasing tools. While these tools excel at substituting words and restructuring sentences, they may struggle with nuances of language and context. As a result, users should carefully review the output of paraphrasing tools to ensure that the meaning of the original text is preserved and accurately conveyed.
Additionally, users should exercise caution to avoid unintentional plagiarism when using paraphrasing tools. Simply replacing words or rearranging sentences without proper citation can still constitute plagiarism if the underlying ideas remain unchanged. Therefore, it's essential for users to understand the principles of academic integrity and to cite the sources of the original text appropriately.
In conclusion, online paraphrasing tools offer a convenient and efficient solution for rephrasing text and generating original content. From students and professionals to language learners and researchers, users across various domains can benefit from the capabilities of these tools. By leveraging advanced algorithms and automation, online paraphrasing tools empower individuals to express their ideas effectively while maintaining academic integrity and saving valuable time. However, users must exercise caution and diligence to ensure that the output of paraphrasing tools accurately reflects the intended meaning of the original text.

British Jealousy.
Pairing : Kim Seokjin x reader
Rating : 18+
Genre : Lots of smut and little bit of angst and a lot of jealousy.
Warnings : A lot of jealousy, Unprotected sex, Smut
Word Count : 1776
Summary : You were fed up when Jin started almost avoiding you for a collab star of his and making you feel invisible when you were in a room with her. Sine you were secretly dating there was nothing much apart from giving him a taste of his own medicine. And exactly that happens when your equally handsome and sexy British Singer friend Stan arrives.
You were at the designers for the trial of the outfit for tonight's awards show, where you had a plan to be together with your boyfriend Kim Seokjin. But he was right here besides you but with someone else. It was the singer form his latest single Collab and somehow they had become inseparable since then.
It wasn't that you were jealous but somehow he had made it a point to rub it in your face that ongoing banter that he had with Lizelle. He did it on purpose or it was unintentional it was yet unknown to you.
You were losing your mind when they had started giggling giving random hugs to each other making it difficult for the poor designers to work it out. You glared at him but he didn't seem to take notice. You went to the trial room to try and he followed behind with his outfit.
"Having fun there, are we?" you said. Sensing the danger from your tone he meekly replied "Oh she's lovely i know but trust me its just a mindless bantering lee, I swear there's nothing more than that." "Okay" I said looking at him cautiously. It had been bothering you somehow that he had been acting all hung up on her, canceling on plans at the last minute and staying over late, Always having her besides him giggling, throwing hugs, telling her those dad jokes while fell at his chest laughing was something ypu just couldn't get over.
He pushed it under the rug saying we are just friends every time you bought it up had you driving you up the wall. It was not that he was cheating but pretending you didn't exist and bailing out on plans because she was there had you at the edge. You wanted to make your presence known, Let him know if he was going to act this way rather do it without you in his life. Would make it much easier with less thing to worry about.
"Lee, My woman you gorgeous little girl." You heard a booming voice across the hall, You forgot about your worries in a second seeing your very good old friend Stan standing right before you with open arms. You ran to him like a little girl and he swept you right of your feet enveloping you in a bear hug. "Stan My Man!!!!" I've missed you babe. You said still hugging him sideways.
Stan was your very good friend and he was a singer too and man that guy had looks that could get you drooling and worshipping the ground he walked. Lets say he was a perfect competitor for Mr. World Wide handsome. But you never saw him besides a friend and you shared a very healthy relationship with him.
You glanced at the mirror seeing a shocked Jin and Lizelle watching from their places. His expression had turned black since you wouldn't introduce him to Jin as you were secretly dating. "What are you doing here?" You asked still gleeful. "Oh i am attending the awards show tonight babe, You are right? " he enquired. "Of course i am sweetheart that's why i am here to get my fittings done, You say nudging him playfully.
He goes through the trials while you keep giving him compliments here and there. Strangely it was exact the opposite now, It was like Jin didn't exist in that room. It was lunchtime already and you were just looking for your phone to text Jin maybe you could introduce both of them, But you soon frowned when you saw the message that was already sitting in your inbox two hours ago.
"Babe, Guys are going out for lunch and have to take Lizelle with me. Make it up to you. xoxoxo"
Okay now this was the limit another cancellation, You didn't mind them as you were an idol too and sometimes it would become quite necessary but doing it every bloody time was unacceptable. You literally felt sorry for Jin as something cooked in your mind. You were going to get him good for this time. But you needed Stan's help with that.
"Babe I'm hungry, Lets go eat and I'm starving and besides we have a long lunch date pending. I am taking you for it, NOW" He said literally pulling you away from the room leaving almost ready to burst Jin. You felt bad but at least this was the way you had been feeling when he had been cancelling on you and going out with Lizelle for gods sake.
You sat opposite Stan in the restaurant chatting away, until he mentioned Jin. "So since when?" He asked. "Since when what?" You asked kind of ignoring his question. "Seokjin babe, That man would have killed me right there if looks could kill." He giggled but for sure looking for answers. "Been 2 Years but hes bit on a lets make her jealous spree" You replied curtly. "Oh lee, You're adorable when you're jealous". He said playfully pinching your cheeks" earning a playful scowl from you. "Well in that case Lets play along shall we?"
He was your wingman bestfriend confidante for a reason, He understood you very well. But tonight was going to be epic since your boyfriend who you loved to bits was going to get a taste of his own medicine.
Everybody was in a rush since it was the dday at the awards and your team was putting in together their best to move and work efficiently while the event. It was just some time left for you to start getting ready for the event before you decided to check up on Stan.
You were casually walking down the hall when you noticed Jin and the others sitting with Lizelle spread out on the couch. When Jimin called out to you, You just went to them to exchange pleasantries since you were on full fledge mission to avoid Jin for the rest of the evening.
"Where have you been Lee?" Jimin asked casually. "Oh right here just have a friend here from London so keeping him company" You reply eyes still looking for Stan. "Hey Sugar, Looking for me?'' Stan came right behind before he playfully pinched your cheeks. "Where have you been?" You ask. "Oh just making sure i had some one with me to accompany for the awards tonight you know, Might get lonely right there." He said looking at you fondly. You sweared you had heard something cough real awkward.
Since they knew each other, you didn't need to introduce each other. "So Stanie, Whos the lucky accomplice you're taking with you." Jungkook teased him. "Oh right here my gorgeous friend, Why would i look somewhere else when I have her right here?'' His response earned a hoot from everyone except Jin who looked like he was about to explode again.
You got ready for the event and you made sure you made no contact with Jin whatsoever for the rest of the evening. You reached the event along with Stan and were greeted by the media and he hosts. The event had been sailing smoothly until you went behind the stage to wish Stanie good luck for his performance.
You were yet to find his makeup room and walked close by to find it until you were pulled in one. "You were about to scream but a familiar hand held your mouth and you knew in a instant it was Jin. "What the hell?" you protested. "Really you're asking me what the hell? Am i invisible lee?" He asked anger fuming through him. You pretended as if you had no clue about what he was talking and that drove him even mad.
He pinned you to the wall and started to kiss you furiously, as if you were going to vanish right next minute and he needed to devour you asap. He nibbled your neck, marking purpled bruises quite clear. "Jin What the hell? these are visible." you retort. "I've left them there for a reason lee and don't you dare hide them, Let them be a warning YOURE TAKEN!!!! Nobody eyes my woman, He says kissing you hungrily while he kneaded your tits at the same time.
He turned your back against him and shifted your dress carefully before plunging himself right into you, Without a warning. You were already wet from the way he had kissed you. "Look at that, So wet. You are so wet for me baby, All you want is me to fuck you right ?' He hissed in your ears pounding from behind. This dirty talk was getting the better of you as you enjoyed the delicious pleasure go wild in your body before he increased his thrust right reaching your gspot. He was close and so were you. And this wasn't your adorable Jin making love to you, But this was the Jealous Jin fucking you who wanted to remind you, You were his and only his and boy you loved that.
He stared rubbing your clit roughly while he mercilessly drilled your pussy from behind and both of you came at the same time. He held you tightly to him before he started adjusting your dress for you. He looked up with a evil grin " Let my cum be where I've left it princess, and I'm going to make sure you scream my name for the entire building to hear, Looks like i have to remind you very properly today- Your mine Lee, Only Mine."
You didn't stop smiling for the rest of the evening as your plan worked but being more happy for the fact that he cared, He cared that you would be his no matter what." It was a relief watching him keep some distance between him and Lizelle. He had got the message alright.
You had a shit eating grin on your face, A Jealous Jin was a such a treat sometimes, Maybe you could try some Russian Jealousy next time:)

May I have Kenma + prompt 10 from your new year event? Happy new year!
Happy new year to you too !! Hope you enjoy this Kenma piece <3
Kenma Kozume [fluff]: 10. “I told you to take care of yourself.”
Word count: 767 words Warnings: Stressed reader who doesn’t know their own limits Summary: Kenma comes over after you miss your exam.
The moonlight shown down onto the city, illuminating the landscape of your hometown. The quietness of the night filled with nothing other than chirping from crickets, warm breeze dancing through the fields of grass, everyone was sound asleep and getting recharged for the next day.
Except for you, that is.
Springtime meant exam time, the most dreadful week in the school year.
Reading the same paragraph for the fourth time because you couldn’t pay attention the first three times, a gentle yawn escapes from the back of your throat. As you check the time on your phone that displays 4:39 a.m., you contemplate on maybe calling it a night. On one hand, you still had about three more days till your first exam, but on the other, you were terribly behind in the curriculum after spending countless nights procrastinating.
You couldn't give up now, you still had quite a few chapters to go before you’re all caught up. Ignoring the headache that was slowly creeping up, you force yourself to continue studying.
As the morning alarm on your phone goes off, you jump at the intruding sound and the realization that you didn’t get any sleep that night. Rubbing your dry eyes and tapping the snooze button, you hesitantly make your way out of your room to start your morning routine and head off to school.
The next two nights were spent the same way as this one. Purely studying without breaks, not giving yourself even a moment to sit back and get some rest. The harsh hours of the night began taking a toll on your body.
Just like the last two mornings, the alarm on your phone went off. Today was the day of your exam, but unlike the last two mornings, you were not awake to turn off the alarm. Blanket thrown over your torso, you continue to snooze your way through the morning alarm, eventually missing the exam.
Of course this was unintentional, your body had been through it all these past three days. Eyes constantly shifting over pages and pages of text, arms sore from the amount of notetaking you’ve done, you were able to successfully catch up in class but forgot to tend to your own needs.
Around the early evening of your supposed-to-be-exam day, you’re finally awoken from your slumber by a soft hand shaking your shoulder.
“Y/N,” Kenma whispered, “Y/N wake up.”
Throwing the covers over your head while still half asleep, you mumble a weak, “Kenma, what are you doing here.”
You hear Kenma shift his body and sit on the edge of the bed.
“Is this where you were the entire day?” He asks as he pokes the material over your head.
“What do you mean all day? I was just taking a little nap. I have my exam today.”
Kenma sighs, “you missed the exam.”
Your eyes widen at his words. Immediately jumping out from under the covers, you grab our phone to check the time and date.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” you curse to yourself after realizing that you really did just sleep through your entire exam. “It was just supposed to be a short nap, I was just so exhausted from these past few days. I really thought I would’ve been able to wake up on time.”
“Y/N,” his voice directs your attention to his face, “I told you to take care of yourself.”
Kenma was no stranger to pulling all nighters. It had become a routine when he was younger, and even after his parents forced him to go to sleep at a reasonable time, he simply woke up in the middle of the night to resume playing his video games.
But that was the old Kenma, the one who didn’t understand the importance of self care. The new version was someone who learned to organize his time and learned to prioritize his health before anything else.
“I know, I know. I’m sorry.” Truthfully, you didn’t know if you were apologizing to the volleyball player or yourself.
“Apologizing isn’t going to do anything,” he responds in a monotone voice.
“I know!” You say in an annoyed tone, burying your face into your pillow, “what am I going to do? Do you think they’ll let me reschedule?”
With a shrug, Kozume explains, "I already covered for you. Told them you had a family emergency.”
The gesture from your friend made your face light up. “Really? Thank you so much! I promise I won’t sleep through the next one!”
Kenma laughs at your enthusiasm, “we’ll see about that.”

have you ever read the fanfic desert storm? I saw you were talking about time travel fics and I don't think it is anti jedi?
Desert Storm is, personally, a mixed bag for me, but there’s enough that I like about it to keep me invested through the stuff I don’t.
I agree, it’s definitely not anti-Jedi, though it does have Jedi-critical elements, specifically in that a major part of the story is about reforming the Jedi, which is...a trope that I and probably other Jedi fans in general personally get very tired of for the (maybe unintentional) impression it gives of the Jedi not being considered worthy of survival unless they radically change their culture to an outsider’s satisfaction. This series is one of the better ones of that trope, though - in that it’s not just “the Jedi are coerced into allowing marriage and attachment now and everything is better”. It takes into account the fact that Palpatine’s plans do not exist in a vacuum, that he would change what he was doing if the Jedi changed what they were doing. I don’t agree with all of the reforms that they put the Jedi through but it does treat the Jedi with sympathy, which is probably the main reason I can stick with it even with it not lining up with my interpretation of the source material.
YMMV on it - I’m sure there’s stuff I’m fine with that others would draw the line at, and there’s stuff I’d object to that others would see no problem with. In general, though, if anyone wants a rough idea of what they’re getting into, I think the fic has:
Strong Points:
Probably one of the best handling of a large, ensemble cast I’ve ever seen in a fic. All of the different groups it shows us really feel like a true community.
A very impressive update schedule - they update almost daily, and it’s not something that appears to have been written in advance, either. I don’t know how anyone manages that kind of pace (I can barely write at all these days, let alone 1000-2000+ words every day), but that kind of dedication is very admirable.
I just really love the premise of time-traveler Obi-Wan taking himself on as a padawan.
Good use of humor without undermining the tone or events.
Events actually changing in response to the time-traveler’s actions. There’s a lot of events that also occurred in the original timeline, but it definitely doesn’t feel like the author is just doing the “stations of canon”, so to speak. It’s a good, slow-burn plot.
Stuff that some Jedi fans may find to be “turn-offs”, depending on your preferences:
As I said above, it is a “reform the Jedi” fic, including stuff like removing themselves from Senatorial oversight and control, removing the age limits, removing the 1 padawan per master limit, bringing Nightsister magic into their teachings, etc.
Draws on the “Tatooine Slave Culture” fanon, which has anti-Jedi roots even if this fic doesn’t specifically use it for that purpose.
Makes heavy use of Legends worldbuilding, and all that entails, including stuff like sending thirteen-year-olds off to the service corps.
Obi-Wan (both versions) is considered Mandalorian, and engages frequently with that culture (there’s a lot of the Mandalorian language used in the text with definitions at the bottom of the chapter, like how young anime fans will toss in whatever Japanese phrases they know into their fics). I personally do like exploration of the commonality between the cultures of Jedi and Mandalorians, but I know it’s not something that appeals to everyone, and some people may find it too much.

SOMETHING IS UP WITH BUTCH HARTMAN...
...And it might not be what you think it is.
(VERY long post/sort of essay, a lot more beneath the cut.)
TLDR: Butch is not the devil, he is flawed, and there’s almost certainly someone else behind a lot of what’s happening right now.
I’d like to start this off with saying that even though this blog is Pretty Empty and doesn’t have any other content from Butch Hartman’s shows (Danny Phantom, Fairly Odd Parents, etc.) on it, I watched his work as a kid and loved it. I’ve been a fan of Danny Phantom for years, and I’ve seen a lot of Butch hate.
Today I’d like to offer you another perspective on what might be happening with Butch, and why we should, I don’t know. Maybe lay off on the hate just a little...? He is by no means a perfect person, and has made mistakes, but the same can be said of any person.
After a friend of mine (@sarasanddollar) mentioned having mixed feelings about recent events (specifically, the OAXIS controversy), we had a conversation about it. She was coming from the perspective of someone who has defended Butch in the past, and I asked her about that as someone who has disliked Butch for a long time. I was curious to see what she had to say.
She made several good points, which I will summarize. You can also view the most important snippets of that conversation HERE.
One of the reasons many Danny Phantom fans (or Phans) dislike Butch so intensely is because of the terrible writing and overall execution of Season 3 of the show, especially the finale (Phantom Planet).
Many Phans attribute this directly to Butch himself. And it’s true that he had a much heavier hand in Season 3 than the first two seasons! But he’s not the only one at fault here. As far as either of us could see, Nickelodeon basically axed his show (as they have with many shows), leaving Butch without most of his skilled team while creating the third season.
Butch is by no means the BEST creator or writer out there. His greatest skill seems to be in coming up with creative pitches for shows, and the execution of these ideas is best left to a team who knows what they’re doing. But that’s the thing: Butch had a team. Can you imagine suddenly losing the team you’re working with and trying to handle an entire animated show almost entirely on your own? No wonder it was a mess, that sounds terrifying.
Many people believe that Butch is anti-LGBT, and most of those people frame it as an intentional thing. That honestly seems unlikely, though.
Butch’s work has many scenes or even entire episodes that have sexist undertones or demonstrate a lot of toxic masculinity. Often, this is even the joke in and of itself.
This seems to be more the product of the way he himself was raised than anything else, though. As far as either of us are aware, he’s never outright said anything for or against the LGBT community. Honestly, he’s not LGBT, so why should he?
Butch also seems pretty ignorant or uncomfortable when it comes to things he hasn’t directly experienced for himself, leading to comments like the one he made about introversion.
Beyond that, he allegedly kicked any people posting/liking LGBT content off of his Danny Phantom forums. The thing is, back then, almost ALL slash ship content was Pompous Pep (Danny Fenton/Vlad Masters). Making no comment on my personal feelings about the ship, it should be noted that this depicts an explicit sexual relationship between a 14-year-old boy and a man in his 40s. It’s understandable that Butch wouldn’t want explicit content of a pedophilic slash ship being associated with his show.
His way of dealing with it may have been excessive, but almost all of the LGBT content he was seeing was also pedophilia.
It’s also worth noting that almost all details about the Forum Days of the Danny Phantom fandom are now being passed around via word of mouth. Even in text form, people’s biases do change the tone of a situation.
Given recent events, many people are spreading around anything connecting Butch to religion. This deserves a closer look too, though.
Here’s something I didn’t know until Sara told me: Butch Hartman was not always a Christian. He wasn’t raised into it, “brainwashed” as a child and blindly following those values as an adult. He allegedly converted a year or two into the production of Fairly Odd Parents, well into his adult life. Before that, he was apparently an atheist.
This man has one show about magic and another about scientists and ghosts. His shows have sexual jokes, witchcraft, violence, and all sorts of things you’d expect a super-conservative Christian to avoid. So why do we all act like he’s always BEEN that super-conservative Christian?
It may have something to do with how people tend to associate Christianity with the corrupt or incompetent white men who run a significant portion of the planet. The exact reasons are probably different from person to person.
This, of course, DOES NOT give Butch any reason to act like Christians are oppressed. He is not the “living embodiment of ‘one of these things is not like the other’” as he put it.
That being said, it seems as if his shows are largely detached from religion (until now). They have morals, sure, but all Nickelodeon shows have lessons for kids, many of which also happen to be mentioned in some form somewhere in the Bible.
So it seems kind of fishy that Religious Values are suddenly such a huge deal for him... which leads me to the point of this entire thing.
When it comes to the OAXIS scam, we might not be the only ones who are being played.
It seems very likely that Butch Hartman himself is also being played.
Hear me out.
With the context of Giving The Children Jesus, some of the more confusing parts of the way OAXIS was pitched make more sense. But at the same time, I find it very difficult to understand how this man created so much content for children (and RAISED a child) with such a fundamental lack of understanding when it comes to how families and society work.
After thinking about it, I realized that this feels very familiar.
Someone I was once very close with had a similar experience about a year ago. For both of them, it seems to have gone something like this:
The person in question starts off not knowing/caring about a cause. At some point, they are introduced to this cause and join, but it does very little to change their work or public life. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, they have a radical change in lifestyle and behavior, while screaming an extreme or radical version of that cause’s message from the metaphorical rooftops.
For the person I used to be close with, this “cause” was Isogenix. (For more information on operations like this one, consider watching this video.) For Butch, it seems like that cause is... saving young people with religious lessons and “pure” media.
With the person I knew, this whole process started when a group of people who were already working with Isogenix befriended her and gained her trust, then told her repeatedly how good Isogenix would be for her. When she started considering it, they told her it was about self-empowerment and pursuing her true self. This kept going until they’d pushed her into dismantling her circle of friends (anyone who wasn’t working with Isogenix), and the last I’ve heard about it is that she left her husband and children to dedicate herself to “self-exploration” and being a Good Example of Isogenix’s successes.
With Butch, it seems likely that something similar is in the process of happening, though with different results. I wouldn’t be surprised if he met and befriended someone (or several people) who believe that modern mass media is corrupting the youth, and that limiting their media intake to Christian-approved content will fix a lot of the issues in modern society.
I mentioned earlier that Butch seems to have a pretty limited understanding of things outside his own little sphere (based mostly on his unintentional sexism in shows, lack of understanding of healthy male friendships/physical contact, and complete misunderstanding of the 16-50% of the world that is made up of introverts). Considering this, it seems like he’d probably buy into this mentality pretty easily, especially if these people “spoke his language”.
While I personally have a lot of resentment for the people who fall for this sort of tactic, it’s not really the victim’s fault when they become the Face or Voice of the cause. The recruiters often know exactly what they’re doing. Most of them seek out people who are lost, desperate, low on self esteem, or somewhat narcissistic. People who want to make a future for themselves, and sometimes others, usually as “their own boss.” Sound familiar?
Some people are more than one of those things. Butch, given that he recently left Nickelodeon after working there for literal decades, could understandable be a bit lost on what his next step should be. And honestly, he’s shown narcissistic tendencies in the past (have you SEEN his self-insert from Fairly Odd Parents?).
So, as easy as it is to stay mad at Butch Hartman, there’s almost certainly someone else involved... which would also explain some things about his Kickstarter.
The way these things are pitched is designed to make the “victim” believe that it’s all their own idea. THEY took control of their life to make these changes, THEY are the brave example of the Future of the industry, THEY are a self-made person. And most of all, showing other people how they can succeed by joining the organization/school of thought is THE BEST THING EVER.
Which... to me, that seems like it’s a logical reason for Butch’s Kickstarter not actually mentioning anyone else, when he insists other people are involved. Someone likely took his already self-absorbed and narcissistic tendencies and intentionally built them up to make him into the Face and Voice of this project.
Bonus points to them: they also picked the perfect person to use.
Butch is a well-off, reasonably well-known person. He has a pretty large following that is almost exclusively made up of young adults, teenagers, and even children (a detail many people cited as the reason his Kickstarter shouldn’t have worked at all). Many of those young people grew up watching his shows and seeing his content on social media, assuming that the loyal followers we’re talking about are the several hundred thousand people following him on social media platforms. Many of them would take his word as something more important than some random person they’ve never heard of, or so the theory goes.
With this context, his line makes perfect sense:
“You trusted me with your childhood, won’t you trust me with your future?”
He probably does honestly care about what happens, and he’s not trying to maliciously brainwash children with Jesus. It’s far more likely that someone else convinced him that he’s the person perfect for saving “lost” young people, given that many of them trusted him as children. He’s obviously the best person to show them Pure and Good content, away from the “poisonous” aspects of mainstream media.
Butch Hartman isn’t a demon. He’s not evil. He’s not... Trump, or anything like that. He’s a naive man with very little actual understanding of how the world works, who believes that he’s helping.
Which is not to say he’s perfect at all. He’s made lots of mistakes, and he’ll continue to make them.
I just seriously doubt he’s actually the “mastermind” behind this whole operation. He’s little more than a figurehead, probably. And from how he’s acted in the past, he seems to crave the attention and trust of young people. He needs to be someone important to them.
And the worst part of all this might be that he’s not going to get out of this without a disaster. I pity the guy, as much of a mess as all of this already is.
You don’t get out of this kind of position unless it falls out from under you. And when you fully believe and trust in what you’re doing, you’re not prepared for the fall.
You hit the ground hard.

i said this to someone days ago (over the course of a couple days) after a lengthy multi-day conversation we had regarding our lives, our relationship, and specifically some things i had learned while on a social hiatus this month. (for fun i’ll point out that i’m an aries sun, virgo moon, gemini mars, taurus venus, aries mercury, cancer rising, aquarius saturn, aquarius dominant. they’re a libra sun, capricorn moon, libra mars, sagittarius venus, virgo mercury, capricorn saturn.) they haven’t responded to anything i’ve said so this is literally the end of the convo. my optimism turned to realism rather quickly and i realized this was an unintentional break up. not in the traditional sense, but a very specific kind of ending. i recently realized how to stop holding myself back, and now i can no longer allow other people to hold me back either. i’m posting this as a reminder, not some kind of call out. this was directed towards them, but it’s also a letter to myself as well as everyone else i know. these words were several years overdue to both them and myself. i’ve been holding back on my honesty so i’m posting this with all of its out-of-context glory to share some of the light and help whoever can relate or wants to take anything from it. opting out of a read more so forgive me por favor. excuse the typos and shitty grammar. down to clarify anything that seems confusing. life is good ~
your ego is intolerable and the source of probably all of your problems. you suffocate meaningful conversations with your ulterior motives. you’re not as open as you think you are. you admitted to being unloving inside. you cannot be both unloving and open. your desire for me to open up may have been genuine, but the intent behind that has been mostly self-serving. you like to use me to feed your ego as well as ease you into finally acknowledging just how enslaved you really are. everything is a learning opportunity so the benefits i’ve experienced from this have been strictly coincidence. possibly even luck. i’m not mad, just aware. i know how proud you are that you indirectly help others. that you can manage it being the way that you are. but pride fuels the ego. i know you’ve got a thing for small, harmful pleasures. we’ve all got addictions. the only reason why you recognized the power of my anxiety is bc you experienced it yourself. still currently experiencing. all we can provide to others is what we experience, what we encounter, what we know for certain. it’s important to share who we are and i’m glad that you do that instinctively. but you’ve assumed a lot of inaccurate things about me. things you’ve projected onto me because they are all you know. you don’t understand my personal experience the same way i don’t understand yours. but you feel the need to define me regardless bc that’s what makes you feel safe and secure. being in control. having answers. being right. it makes it impossible for you to fully receive my openness. it makes it impossible for you to trust me as an individual existing outside of the limits of your mind and ego. i made this same mistake in a way. i projected key aspects of who i am onto you. i assumed the level of your inner compassion and have treated you accordingly. assuming you understood things in a way that you actually don’t. shouldn’t have done that. it only limited communication between us. anyway, i understand that i have no idea how to help you solve your problems in the way that you need me to because that’s unknown territory for me. you can get lucky and learn from me, but there’s no order in chance. no method or process. just effort and hope. hopefully this helps you realize the same. you can’t help me bc you don’t understand who i actually am. and you can’t until you figure yourself out some more. same goes for me. again, you did not help me in the way that you believe you did. i can’t stress that enough. but the possibility remains of us eventually syncing up. maybe you already understood that. maybe you already understood all of this. it took me a second to work it out emotionally but sharing now seems like the right thing to do just in case you didn’t realize what was happening. barriers exist for a reason. they are the proof of imbalance. but i wholeheartedly believe we’ll both get our shit together eventually.....well i believe that unless martyrdom is your only real passion in life. if that’s what you have love for, that will be your quest and your legacy. personally i’m interested in something much more complex. something with an infinite number of continually expanding dimensions. if that’s where your heart really is, you’ll always be a dead end for me and i a dead end for you. a cul-de-sac. purposeful but limiting. just another possibility i realized. cool either way. interacting with you always reminds me of just how peaceful my reality is. everything is clear before and after i interact with you. your ego literally sucks the life out of me. it encourages me to not be myself. it’s the opposite of kindness. i can’t help but fight against it. that’s why i stick around. but it’s a battle i can’t win. that’s why i shut down. but again once i’m free to be myself, fighting again doesn’t seem like such a dumb idea. pointing out all the ways the ego can control someone seems like a really smart idea actually. your ego makes you all talk. not only with your ideas and goals, but also literally you never stop talking you never slow down. you always have something to say. some answer or explanation for everything. no concern over how quarter-assed it may be. a clear sign of being afraid of not knowing not having all the answers. when we talk, i’m quick to say i’m confused or don’t understand of don’t know something. i try not to lie to myself about those things bc i know it hinders growth. & i know you notice how often i do these things bc i’ve watched it frustrate you. us not being on the same page. not only with my curiosity though. happens when i disagree also. the “lack of connection” aka lack of confirmation. you literally hate me when i’m not supportive of your ego. that lazy blind faith ideal you’re so obsessed with. you’re so afraid of being wrong. so afraid of being seen as a loser. so insecure about someone else being ahead of you when the competition you’ve signed up for doesn’t even exist. you’re obsessed with winning and being superior. it’s more of a priority than reaching the truth. this has been so obvious. everything is a threat to you. you’re so afraid of the world. you said it yourself. the world is full of danger. it’s peak paranoia. i understand your panic and mania so much more now. i can/could relate to so much of this but there have been clear difference between us. sometimes i’ve wanted to tell you to calm down but i know that would only intensify your feelings. i tried to help by being gentle and nice and loving but that only made things worse. i tried to be direct and tell you that you’re good enough regardless of what’s going on inside of you or what you’ve done, but you’ve never believed me. just used these things against me bc you’re dependent on your ego. life without it scares you. you said the way i am goes against everything that you are. that’s true. your aggressive method went against all that i am. but that changed. i opened myself up and now it’s a part of me. your ego is never going to allow you to give anything other than what you already are a chance. i can barely imagine how frustrating that must be for your soul. don’t think i’m judging you bc i get it. it’s heavy and help from an outside source probably doesn’t exist. you’re the only one who can kill your ego and fighting yourself is hell. no judgement. i understand why you always told me i had it easier than you. everything is harder when your ego prevents you from giving love. so much you can’t feel and therefore so much you can’t learn. so many ways you can’t grow. all of this was so obvious when you decided to spend our entire conversation talking about yourself and how i was wrong and why you were right and how much more you knew. you never even took a second to be happy for me. my life has been getting better every day and you’re not even interested. you were barely interested in what i contributed to the conversation. you felt comfortable continuing our conversation even though you hadn’t read all those texts i sent. you have no idea what i could have said to you. but you didn’t find it important. nothing could have been important enough to you. as long as you’re being ruled by your ego, everyone will always just be pawns to you. you talk about all the ways you’ve made others’ lives better. how damaged they were and how you cured them. you rarely mention learning from others. no significant benefits to experience from those beneath you, right? you never bring up how other people have dealt with things when you try to give me advice. everything comes from you. no other examples. seems like you’ve collected nothing from others. nothing you trust. nothing that could be more informative than what you’ve experienced. your speech, your experiences, your gratitude, your kindness, all of it. so egocentric. it’s a little different when you’re with people and sober. a different kind of social anxiety. you’re afraid of physically feeling how much your ego is hated. you’re afraid of picking up those vibes bc you wont be able to just run away from them. you don’t want to be confronted so you have to tone it down and play nice. but in text or when you’re drunk/fucked up, you feel safe. you can hide. in text you can be as real as you want. when you’re intoxicated, everything can just seem like a joke or a mistake. an excuse to be irresponsible. your ego is such a coward. and it honestly believes it’s being real and open. you are so full of deceit. you honestly believe this is attractive? that you’re better this way? more functional? more productive? cooler? more respected? more confident? you’re lying to yourself more than you’re lying to everyone else. you know all of this. you know you could be so much more. you know you could feel more. do more. give more. take more. you’re just afraid of the struggle. you’re afraid of truly being vulnerable and having to find new ways to be okay in this big scary universe. you assume the unknown is going to feel worse than anything you’ve already felt. but the truth is it wont. it’s going to feel like real brutal happiness. real freedom. not just freedom of expression. freedom in all areas. it’s going to be light even when it’s heavy. because it’s going to be infinitely better than being limited by your ego. it will be a new addiction but an actually healthy one. i know there’s a good chance none of this will affect you. i’m not even assuming you’ll actually read all of this. i’m still mindful of time. you’ll get where you’re going when you’re supposed to. but i care so i have to say something. i have to try to help you however i can but i also have to make sure you understand you can’t fuck around with me anymore. if i don’t get offended, i wont feel guilty. if i don’t feel guilty, i wont feel like a failure. if i don’t feel like a failure, i wont be blinded by my own ego. and if i’m not blinded by my own ego, i can see everything clearly. if you don’t change anytime soon, i can see you becoming consumed by the hate you feel for me and everything that i am. you wont want to talk to me anymore if i don’t give you what you want. i wont mind if it happens. i wont be upset and i wont judge you. my love for you has never been conditional. i’ll still be here in some way if you ever see things differently. maybe it’s also important to acknowledge that i see that you’re trying. i can’t remember if i addressed that or not. i notice when you’re making attempts. they’re confirmation that a you beyond your ego exists. the real you is real. you are seen. i guess i now understand your smoking dependency too. maybe it really does help you feel things you can’t otherwise. maybe it makes you feel like the person you really are beyond your ego. i never judged you for that but i never fully understood the importance either bc i projected my feelings onto you. just seemed like a shortcut. but i get it now. maybe if we both smoked, we really would have synced up and everything would have seemed so easy and peaceful. you know, if we only interacted when we had smoked. but we would have learned nothing. that finish line would have been the starting line. there are no shortcuts on a circle. we just wouldn’t have moved at all. we would have missed everything. the whole journey. the whole cycle. but i understand the appeal. definitely seems a hell of a lot better than suffering and being separated. but things aren’t always as they seem. i still think this is way better and way more satisfying. the higher the goal, the harder the struggle.
