#Updating Pom.EXE [Blog Update]

Dropping a quick update to note a rule addition before I go back to working on the Halcyon sideblog: Despite writing in Magi-based settings and the fact I'll be adding a Magi verse once I'm done re-reading the manga/watching the anime, I will not be interacting with the fandom past incredibly close friends, and this will be considered a closed, private verse. Having once been a part of the fandom while it was far bigger than what it is now, I've been incredibly soured on the fandom as a whole, and have no intentions on interacting with it past my small group of trusted friends who've convinced me to give the series itself another shot. Due to this, I will not answer anything IC with this verse aside from with these friends, though I will do OOC and HC memes for it if it's specifically requested, albeit not often.

General Tag Drop!

So as a heads up, please pardon the dust for a while around here! As I mentioned in Febuary, back before Rebirth came out, I would be taking the game slowly - And I have been, resulting in me just now reaching Gongaga as of last night and finding Cissnei. Even so early into the village, I already have a lot of feelings and thoughts considering what direction to take my blog(s; @sakurarisen is involved in this choice as well and been getting more regular updates), and I've been actively talking it out with @honorisen, who is not as far into the game as i am due to an incredibly busy schedule and still does not wish to be spoiled - But is still working with me on our new direction.

With this in mind, I'm going to be, for the next week or so depending on my own health and schedule, starting to do some updates around here! There's going to be some heavy changes made, including the following:

I'll be focusing on Crisis Core into Rebirth from this point forward. I have not played Before Crisis and right now, I have no intention of looking into it; anything to do with Cissnei's role as a Turk prior to CC with be vague, and will not reference BC in any shape or form. tl;dr: Before Crisis does not apply to my take on Cissnei, only Crisis Core, Remake, and Rebirth. This also applies to Kunsel, though given he's largely unseen for much of the series aside from CC, that's easier for me to work with. I will not be doing anything set in OG without request anymore, as OG was actually suffocating to my muses, and Remake provides me with more wiggle room... And less focus on pain, suffering, and angst.

My blogs/FF based verses are set in their own timeline. Rebirth, following on from the end of Remake, has introduced multiple verses and timelines; the canon for both this blog, @sakurarisen, @bountyrisen, and Kasa's own @honorisen will be shifting to a timeline of our own that follows closely to canon events of CC, Remake, and Rebirth, but with a few divergences. I'll be making up a 'Divergences From Canon' page for this blog to match Sera's, as well, to further explain where we diverge from canon, and how. This is also canon for Kasa's Zack, and this timeline will continue to focus on Zack and Sera as they raise their family and try to survive, with the help of their friends.

Cissnei will be moving to Gongaga. I rather like how she was set up as leaving the Turks and moving there, and I'll be keeping that in these updates.

There is some original lore of my own creation that will be added as a background factor to all verses on this blog, and has been added to all my blogs as a whole, with varying degrees of relevancy and being seen. More on this will come when the updates are done, as I need to redo my rules and verses as well.

I'm still playing through Rebirth and likely won't be done with it anytime soon for a LOT of reasons, but at least I have a direction to start work on! So please pardon the dust - We're under construction again~! <3

Tag drop: General!

So after much thought and dealing with a boatload of things offline for the last several months, I’ve made a few decision on how to move forward with this blog - Namely, that I won’t be.

That’s not to say I won’t be writing Kunsel going forward, because I will! Kunsel is simply moving; I have a multimuse he’ll be shifting to, while this blog will not only be archiving, but swapping urls with the multimuse due to the fact most of the muses there have Shinra ties, just like he does, and I don’t want to lose the url the multi currently has.

I’ll also be adding a crossover verse for him in Genshin Impact, another game I’ve been greatly enjoying and planning a lot of things for with @honorisen​ lately; there’s a fair few changes ready to be put into place for both Kasa and myself on the vast majority of our muses and blogs, and this is just the beginning - Not to mention changes that will be started here in the coming days.

I’ll be making a post when he’s fully moved, if anyone wants to follow him on over there instead, but until then, please consider Kunsel on a hiatus until I can fully archive this blog! <3

Today on: A pom still exists here yes- XD

So it’s been a while since I decided to rehaul things here and I’m definitely sorry for going radio silent again. That was never my intention, but things behind the scenes have gotten... Different. Fair warning for a long post ahead.

Let me begin this by saying I have no plans to abandon this blog. My girls have been and still are very strong muses for me, and will continue to be! <3 However, like many times in the nearly nine years I’ve had this blog, my interests have shifted, and I’ve been focusing on different blogs that aren’t this one. I miss my girls here, and I still planned on bringing them back - But I’ve decided to do it differently than I’d initially planned when this overhaul began late last year-ish, largely so I can begin doing things here again once I post this.

This means the following things are going to/have begun taking place, placed under a readmore because whoops did not mean to be long af here:

-I’m going to be running this blog as severely slow activity. I refuse to leave my girls. I love them too much, and all of you! <3 But in recent years, a lot of my partners have left or moved on to other things, and things have slowed here, on top of dealing with a bunch of things offline really chewing up and spitting out my ablity to focus like a puppy with an old shoe. I’ve made other blogs and rejoined/joined other fandoms, but I will always return here, even if it’s just slower than I was in the past. That will always be a thing. <3

-With slow activity comes slow replies. I’ll check here a few times a week to make sure I have things drafted, but I’ll be taking on far fewer threads here than before and generally doing reply dumps once or twice a week, or as I’m capable. Again this is on nobody but myself and really trying to deal with a lot of things slowing me down and I hate it. Trying to push myself to stick to a ‘schedule’ for things, as well as pushing myself to stay active daily, really contributed to some burnout, I think, and made wanting to be here tiring instead of fun.

-I will have a pinned post made up soon with links to blogs I’m running that see more activity! <3 If I’m not here, you can almost guarenteed be able to find me at @sakurarisen, though! <3

-I’ve already changed the theme here, but pages are getting super rehauled and streamlined. One of the things I realized during my rehaul was that my girls’ bios were... Not.. Really bios. They were a list of personalities and HCs and with how much I’ve grown as a rp’er, not having a ‘proper about’ for my OCs was really bothering me. However, because these require rewriting literally everything, these pages aren’t completely finished yet, and will be ‘installed’ as I finish them. I am in no rush to finish anyone but Seun’s, as Sera’s is already finished and up, leading into...

-I’ll be putting less attention on Cyan, Casey, and Maika. I’m implementing a tier system here that I’ve explained in my (new and updated) rules, and at the moment, all three will be considered low-tier/tert muses, while Seun and Sera will be the primaries. I realized one of the things holding me back was how much I love them and want to keep them here, but a lack of interest in them made finding motivation to do anything for them difficult. They require the most work, too, and thus I’m taking things with them slowly. They’re not being removed... They just won’t see much attention for the time being, and I’ll alert when their pages go up and/or anything changes here. Always feel free to request them if you like! <3 I just won’t be any too quick to finish things <3

-There is a new muse list page in the works to replace the old nav page, but it’s currently last on the to-do list. At the moment, ‘muses’ links to the old nav page, which will link to the new profiles as I add them.

-As previously mentioned, i’ve rewritten my rules again? yes again I know to keep them pretty much he same across all my blogs. Of importance to this rewrite really is that shipping is now closed outside of the ships I have, this blog is slow activity, main verses are a single canon, please tag real life fires for me, and a ‘triggers/warning’ section, leading further into...

-I will no longer be avoiding Sera’s full backstory on this blog. Until a few months ago, I heavily hid Sera’s full backstory out of a desire to avoid anyone’s triggers or upsetting people who come across it, and only told it in threads. I will no longer be doing this. Sera’s life has been incredibly traumatic and full of hardships, abuse, and again, hard trauma, from birth to about the age of 16. I will be tagging this should it come up in threads and a rundown of what can be expected is now in my rules. I will always ask partners if they’re all right with it or require tags before it comes up in threads, and I am more than willing to essentially ‘gloss over details’ and hint at it rather than let Sera actually talk about it in threads with partners who are uncomfortable, or flat out avoid the topic in general - but this is Sera’s story. It is not nor will it ever be harped on nor focused on. Sera is not her trauma and will not allow it to become all that she is. She has suffered and will use those experiences to help others, yes, but she has a lot more going for her than that and will not bring it up without reason to. Running her FF and YGO based blog like his has actually allowed for Sera to grow and flourish for me and I just won’t be hiding her anymore.

-On this note, PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU NEED A SPECIFIC TAG. Sera’s life story is heavy. She doesn’t do well with memories and still suffers the aftereffects. Please, please tell me if you need tags, ommited details, etc. for comfort’s sake. I want us all to be comfortable here, and I will be as open and transparent as possible on things so nothing is a surprise, even if I can promise it won’t be coming up (and especially not in grand detail) often.

-Sera also has a new verse for Guilty Gear, tied to things that have been growing between myself and @sxtoritera​ for the last like.. 4 or 5 years. XD It will be getting a rewrite as I refine the verse entry and get back into the swing of things, but it was about time this got its own dedicated verse. <3

-Things here will be reopening as of this post, but please keep in mind they’re heavily under construction and I’m not really doing much with anyone but Seun and Sera at the moment.I will be updating as things change for anyone interested~

I’m sure I missed a couple things, but the last several months have come with a lot of realizations and attempts to work out what works for me now, compared to what did several years ago. I haven’t wanted to admit I needed to change things in me and how I do things, Burnout is a thing that happens and I hit it about the time I ran into a lot of offline stuff a year ago, but never noticed. Time to work out the whys and fix it. <3

I’m all for starting new things if anyone wants to with Seun and Sera as of this! <3 And more than anything, I hope you’ve all been well and have reasons to smile - y’all deserve it <3

Pausing in the middle of trying to catch up on replies to note that everything aside from relationships should now be switched over to reflect the new Fireflower canon! <3 The only current threads this change affects are about two with @soulburnings​; the rest are currently going unchanged and will play out as they’ve been plotted/have been. All future threads from this point on will default to this canon, though threads with the girls on their own (Kiku alone, Mako alone) without the other with them will be tagged in their respective single verses, and be switched to the Fireflower tag should this change. Their single verses are also an option for threads still, as well; just lemme know during plotting if that’s what you’d like!

For context: Fireflower is a verse canon in which both Mako and Kiku get together with Kasa’s Takeru, and the three have a relationship, and later family, together. Mako and Takeru move back to their hometown post-canon and remain there until all three return to Den City at the age of 19 to attend university, Mako to be a teacher, and Kiku to be a nurse, though the transition is rough on all of them. Between 16 and 19, the three visit Den occasionally to visit during school breaks and in the summer.

The girls still have lives and interests independent of one another, so still feel free to come poke them for a thread, catch Mako at the arcade, Kiku shopping for something - Anything! This canon switch makes the girls far more free for interaction, so feel free to pop on in at any time! <3 They’re always up for making new friends~

I think, a year months later, Aoi’s redo is done! The only thing remaining is to tidy up her new relationships page a bit, which involves adding links, actually rewriting the relationships there, and add in a few missing icons, but for the most part, things should be complete! <3

Of big notes to this rehaul:

-I’ve removed a few verses (Rose Of Fate, Wings Made To Fly...) and condensed others for a smaller verse list. My main partners for some have left, be it the fandom or tumblr as a whole, and thus aren’t available to continue things, while in other cases I simply had way more verses than I actually needed and could easily combine them into others (i.e. 1 post canon verse for GX rather than three).

-Shipping is closed. That’s not to say it can’t be reopened in the future, but as it’s not a priority to me or Aoi and ships take a great deal of plotting and building up before they happen with her, shipping is and will stay closed until one possibly builds up there again. Ships I already have/those remaining are unaffected by this rule change.

-Everything has been rewritten. This includes rules, so please give things a looking over! <3

-Aoi isn’t an idiot and I will stress this from this point forward. I don’t care if your muse’s first impression is that she’s stupid. I don’t care if your first impression is the same; that’s reasonable! But if we’re not talking/plotting ooc and you’re not giving me or Aoi a chance to show you otherwise, and/or treating Aoi poorly on the basis she’s ‘just stupid’, I can and will drop threads. A big part of the reason I lost interest in writing her was people deciding on two replies that she’s nothing but an idiot and treating her like trash, and insisting to me she was ‘nothing but a moron’, all while ignoring any attempts to explain why or trying to not be. Her friends and even I affectionately call her stupid, but Aoi has reasons for how she acts. Allow time to get to know my muse past a first impression.

-Aoi now has a The World Ends With You verse, but this is by request only.

I’m pretty sure that should be everything at this point, though I’m probably missing something. XD Replies to kept threads will be coming in the next few days, but please keep in mind Aoi will remain on slow activity for the foreseeable future, too! As much as I love her and want to get back into things here, I still run multiple blogs and deal with a lot offline; it’s going to be a long time before she’s super active again, but this is a start! <3 And of course, if anyone has questions or needs clarification my ask box is always open!

Please pardon the dust for the next few days or so~! <3 After discussing it with close friends to sort out my thoughts, there's a few things that are getting edited and adjusted across this bog, and a rehaul is in progress~!

I did a look around after launching that page about Halcyon and I realized that, as much as I try to keep Sera and her info and pages up to date, I'm actually wildly out of date regarding a lot of things on blog, across most of my pages and the like. Sera herself has also taken a slightly different turn than I initially had this blog set up for when I made it sveral years ago, and despite trying to return her to her fandomless roots with fandom and fandomless based verses not too long ago, for some reason, I held back on going all in with the way I had intended to do it, and I can't remember why.

So~! Please excuse the dust while I get things edited, rewritten, and sorted out, and I'll drop an update once I've gotten that all done! <3

After spending several weeks working on her info off and on, I finally have the page done and the ability to announce a new muse: Shiva! <3

More specifically, this is the 7 Remake version of Shiva, though she may use icons from her other designs in other games across the FF series as a whole to have a decent number of icons with varying expressions. Shiva, like Cissnei before her, is tied to my other FF blogs - In this case, to Sera more than any of my other muses, for reasons both explained in her bio and in upcoming plots. She is at the moment considered to be a tertiary muse and will not be horribly active or available unless I offer her first or in the case of memes, and will stay this way until I get a better feel for her muse! <3

I’ve also updated my rules to include Shiva, as well as updating another rule that has nothing to do with her: That of my rule on taking things from this blog. Due to issues I’d rather not talk about, I’ve updated the rule to be more specific; please do not take things from this blog - or any of my blogs - at all without permission, including grabbing and rewriting or rewording any of my HCs and musings. I do not tolerate theft and I can and will hardblock for this; I don’t care if it’s a first offense or not.

I’ll also be on something of a semi-hiatus until thursday for health reasons, so any typos and rewrites that need to be done will be handled then! <3

So in an effort to get things tidied up and streamlined across my blogs, as well as a fair bit of background work on multiple blogs, I’ve gone and edited the rules here for a much-needed update. These new rules outline where my limits and lines lie a bit better than the previous ones did and should be more clean and clear cut, as well as easier to read, so if there’s still anything that isn’t, totally feel free to ping me an ask of an IM or something! <3 I’m almost always around and never mind explaining stuff! <3

One key thing that changed and is not in place going forward, however, is that Kunsel - like my other muses - is now Exclusive with @honorisen​’s Zack. Kasa and I have built up a LOT over the last year and a half and at this point, I find it difficult to write my muses without the influence of her Zack specifically somewhere in the background, as he’s been a key factor in the directions they take and their way of thinking, even on just one meeting. I will not be writing with other Zacks from this point forward and will not blame anyone for unfollowing in the wake of this; I hope you guys find a Kunsel you can work with! <3 Those who remain are always free to send in asks or anything, if you wish - This is a choice made for my comfort, that’s all. <3
