Though, Mikhail has lived a life of naivety. A life shielded by the harsh faith of their church and family. Now Mikhail will discover the dark underbelly of the city of Vilyuchka — and what it means to be a composer in a city where crime and music are one in the same.
Demo: July 2024

(Character bios and additional info can be found under the cut.)

MC: Mikhail Ilyushin - The Composer - They/Them
Mikhail Ilyushin was raised in one of the many churches of Vilyuchka who follow the single god of Lithos. From birth they were seen as sick, in body and mind alike. Thus they were sheltered from the rest of society in an attempt to protect their frailty from the outside world. During their time in the church they would occupy their dark upbringing with their passion for music. Mikhail had given up on the prospects of freedom. Until one day their overbearing family was contacted by a mysterious sponsor, who was somehow able to convince them to allow Mikhail to attend the University of Saint Yelena in order to pursue becoming a professional composer.

RO: Lucia Blackhart - The Violet Songstress - She/Her
Perhaps one of your only hopes of learning what the life of a composer entails. Lucia is not only a prolific melodist herself, she's also an extremely elusive detective. The catch: she only works with criminals in the Vilyuchkan Underbelly. Her allegiances are never set in stone. And while her services are invaluable, you can never fully set your trust in the Violet Songstress. Bonus Route: Because of her good natured relationship with Caim, it is possible to pursue a polyamorous route between the two of them.

RO: Caim - The Wonderland Ensemble, one of the Five Kings of the Vilyuchkan Underbelly - They/Them
Caim is a demonic being who surfaced in Vilyuchka many decades ago. Since then they have founded the Wonderland Ensemble, a ruthless crime syndicate known for its equal worship of pleasure and pain. Caim is an absolutely ruthless criminal, earning them the title of one of the Five Kings; a designation for the most dangerous and esteemed crime bosses in the Vilyuchkan Underbelly. Bonus Route: Because Caim is great friends with Lucia Blackhart, it is possible to pursue a polyamorous route between both of them.

RO: Headmaster Stelliana - Beholder of the Moon - She/Her
Headmaster Stelliana is the only companion you will meet on your journey that has the privilege of participating in regular society. She's a highly respected scholar, and lead of the academic group known as the Beholders of the Moon. Though she just poses as an intellectual elite, she holds a dark secret. Her and her fellow Beholders are apart of a cult seeking to resurrect the Old Gods. Only she and her fellow scholars know what this entails, and what fate this may bring about.

RO: ████████████ ████████████ ██████ ███ █████████
Something about this presence seems familiar. Yet foreign. I can feel my heart pounding against my ribcage. Is it fear, or is it fiery yearning that I feel? Nonetheless something inside of me burns. Threatening to sear through my sternum and breach the skin along my breast. Until we meet again.

Dance of Wolf and Raven is cool but Lady and the Wolf was the OG title for Adelina and Uriel. At least if you want to focus more in their relationship than the alliance of Argent and Ravenea
This is gonna be long and overexplained, so warning!
Im hoping the " line"read more thingy keeps the post short for people that dont wanna get clogged haha
But TLDR: I know that, it was intentional.
Lady and the Wolf is the domestic name for the event/song/dance given by the people of Argent. Kingdom folk dont really wanna bring up the queen's familial history with the imperial line, AND Adelina herself doesnt want to promote that. She isnt a fan of the family and court that treated her as an outsider.
Speaking of, Adelina is the one who sponsors the theater(s) in the capital, so her wants and desires would be taken seriously; hence the Lady and the Wolf title.
Dance of Wolf and Raven is the actual title name of the novel, and I love it since not only did my patreons vote for the name, but I love the whole real world relationship of ravens and wolves being chill asf with each other.
The title can also obviously stand in for Uriel and Adelina as characters and not people we know personally, especially since theyre both strangers to each other in the beginning. They only know each other as being of the Ravenea or Argent bloodlines whose family animals are the Raven and Wolf respectively.
Anyways that's enough yapping from me lol, thanks for reaching out!

How about 999 yjh and uriel?
This went a bit past just 999, but I had fun with this prompt! Here's some cannon based Jonghyuk angst with happy ending lol.
The nine hundred ninety ninth regression was one that Yoo Jonghyuk planned based on his previous regressions, as he always did.
Although, it wasn't as if the previous two regressions, the nine hundred ninety seventh and eighth, were really the worst the starstream had seen of Yoo Jonghyuk. That title would probably be saved for the forty-first from which Yoo Jonghyuk was conscious of the fact he had to deliberately block memories from to stay sane.
No, the problem with the last two regressions wasn't the presence of any memories that were wretched to the point of novelty. The problem was the fact that Yoo Jonghyuk barely retained any memories of them at all.
It was all a haze… it was honestly hard to tell if those regressions had been even markedly different from the ones previous to them, as all of the repeated events seemed to mush together and meld with the centuries of anguish he had already endured.
He hadn't felt anything new. Done anything new. So much so that he would forget his place in the new regression and wander aimlessly thinking of the old until some high level constellation punk got a lucky shot at him.
And then all of a sudden, Yoo Jonghyuk woke up in that familiar train car. The one that no matter what would only last for the first thirty minutes of the scenario.
Almost out of habit, he looked for that boy he had been keeping an eye on. The one who always died.
He stopped when he realized.
999.
That boy had died one thousand times.
Yoo Jonghyuk had lived one thousand times. Been in this train car one thousand times. Failed to save anyone one thousand times. Died one thousand times.
Was he really that useless? Yoo Jonghyuk thought to himself, as he went through the motions of beating Choi Han-gyu to death before he could blow up the car.
Honestly, at this point maybe he should accept that he was just like the boy in this car.
No matter what he did, he was going to die anyway.
If he thought about it like that, then…
Well, what was the best thing that he could accomplish with his own death, knowing that it would come to him no matter what he did?
So in the nine hundred ninety ninth turn, Yoo Jonghyuk took more risks than ever before. He made choices and plans that he never would have before because experience had shown they were the antithesis to his former dogma. That which put his own means of survival above all else.
And little by little, Yoo Jonghyuk began to notice that things could be new again.
In this regression, his companions cared more about him. They respected him more, and opened up about things they never had. As if something in his actions connected to them. Made them think he acted out of love for them since his actions clearly showed no care for himself.
And maybe Yoo Jonghyuk wanted to believe them, too. That he was still capable of that sort of love. That desire for connection.
So he let himself fall into it. He made his decisions based on everyone's survival except for his own.
And his comrades continued to show new sides of themselves. The way Lee Jihye tried not to weep aver the bloody remains of his leg, even though no one had died that regression. How Lee Hyunsung's lips trembled while trying to stop the blessing where Yoo Jonghyuk's arm used to be. Shin Yoosung's open bawling, as it began to set in on Yoo Jonghyuk that he would never see this version of her's face ever again.
But Yoo Jonghyuk knew whose response to his actions had surprised him the most this regression.
"Jonghyuk. Are you ready?" The voice of a certain archangel was heard near his somehow still intact ears.
Uriel's face was close to his, a tight grip on his arm and waist along with the angelic wing steadied on his back the only support keeping him held upright as the others had followed his instructions in forging through the final battle ahead of them.
"There's no need to watch over me so closely, Uriel." He told her. It was, in fact, something he had been telling this strange angel recurrently ever since she had stepped down from Eden to join their group.
That was one thing he had never expected of the entity he had once known as the Demon-like Judge of Fire. In all the timelines he had been through Uriel had been just that, a silent judge. Reacting positively to his lawful actions in the early scenarios with coins, and expressing disappointment over his more morally dubious actions. Only descending after the destruction of Eden occasionally to cast judgement in person.
But something about this round had moved the archangel to act differently after the destruction of Eden this round.
"No offense, but there's obviously a d**n need for it, Jonghyuk." Uriel casually censored herself, as though the restrictions of Eden were still in place. "You can't see how the others are looking back towards you right now, but they know it too. That it's always times like this that you feel the need to go and take unnecessary risks."
Yoo Jonghyuk thought that he heard it in her voice, then.
That lilt in Uriel's voice that suggested she was talking to an old friend, even though the span of time in which he had met this version of her was infinitesimal in comparison to the life he had already lived before her, and perhaps compared to the life of a constellation as well.
Maybe Uriel, too, had lived through this all before. A war where she was called upon to support a comrade close to death.
Perhaps she also knew what it was like to be too helpless to save someone important.
Yoo Jonghyuk should be sorry that she would have to go through it again.
He could already feel it. No matter how close Uriel and her sword stayed by his side, Yoo Jonghyuk could feel his death coming to him.
It was because the outer world covenant wasn't an outside threat. It was something that was inside of him. A hole that came from the very center of him. Almost as if there were no outer world god involved, and Yoo Jonghyuk had really only done this to himself.
When everything was fading, and he could recognize her voice as one of the ones desperately calling out to him, Yoo Jonghyuk thought that he should apologize to her.
Instead, he died with a smile on his face.
.
.
.
The one thousandth regression was one that Yoo Jonghyuk planned based on his previous regressions, as he always did.
When he woke up on the train car again, he wasn't smiling as he had been when he died.
It was because he knew that he wouldn't let the events that let him get so far in the last regression repeat.
He couldn't live like that.
Suicidal idiot that he still was, he couldn't let the same thing happen to his precious memories of those friends in the nine hundred ninety ninth that had happened to every other memory he had of them from all those other regressions. Let them repeat until the point of oblivion. He couldn't do it. He just couldn't, even if it would be the right thing to do, even though it could save their lives, Yoo Jonghyuk just wasn't strong enough.
And he hated himself, for that weakness.
That was when Yoo Jonghyuk decided that he had to die, sitting there in that subway car before the scenarios started.
No matter what it took, killing every constellation in the starstream, losing distorted versions of old comrades, finding and wringing out his sponsor's neck…
Yoo Jonghyuk had to survive long enough to stand in front of that wall once more.
And join all of his once treasured memories in the deepest oblivion of death.
From then on, the only times he saw that Demon-like Judge of Fire descended from Eden was when she was sent with the express purpose to kill him in a way that didn't matter.
The only thing new he learned about her thereafter was how her corpse looked with a sword through the middle.
That was, until he met her as an outer god.
Secretive Plotter had wondered if it would please an angel like Uriel to know that he had prayed for the first time in that moment.
Prayed against all odds that her firey sword really could pierce through his curse of life and see him to his end.
But some dumb guy saved him that day.
And now, in the present, Yoo Jonghyuk was watching the kid version of that guy pick the green bits out of the omelette he had made him.
He had been trying to remember from the timelines where he had kids how he had tricked them into eating their vegetables, but like most of the times he tried to recall those deep memories of his, something in his brain had gotten caught up in that pesky number 999's time.
It was probably because his current company made those times hard to forget.
"Aaaaah I'm going to be late!" Uriel ran into the kitchen in a flash of blonde curls, going for the bread in the fridge as if she was going to run out of the house with toast in her mouth like a schoolgirl from one of her animes. "Jonghyuk do you know where Jihye is?"
"She already left." Yoo Jonghyuk reported, as he batted her hands off the bread and gave her a fork for the small omelette he had already put on the table for her. "Her first class this semester is in an early slot."
Even though he had told that girl to schedule her classes with the university early if she wanted good times…
"Shi-" Uriel seemed to remember there was no system to filter out her swears as she spared a glance toward Dokja before correcting herself. "Shoot. I mean shoot." She started speaking between bites as she scarfed down the omelette "I think that [munch] girl borrowed the shoes I was [chew] going to wear to my interview [gulp] without asking…"
"Does it really matter what shoes you wear?" Yoo Jonghyuk commented as he used his chopsticks to start placing Dokja's vegetables back into his omelette. "A former constellation is going to look strange submitting her manhwa manuscript to an editor for review no matter what."
"Give me a break." Uriel frowned. "It's not my fault that your world somehow made the mistake of making creative skills look more appealing on a resume than demon slaying skills."
Yoo Jonghyuk thought that there was truth to her observation, as he watched Uriel ruffle the hair of the pouting Dokja, before putting her clean plate in the sink for him to deal with later.
Everything about this world was new to Uriel. One could see it plainly in the very way she moved, unused to not carrying wings everywhere she went and walking ever so lightly on the earth wherever she went. Whether it was because she knew what it was to fly or because her shoulders had never felt so light before, Yoo Jonghyuk couldn't be sure.
"Good luck." He called, as Uriel walked out into the fray ahead of him, donning combat boots instead of the professional heel she seemed to have misplaced.
"Thanks Jonghyuk!" She replied, seemingly not compelled to look back to check on him as she walked out the door.
Yoo Jonghyuk had this certain feeling, then. A feeling that he often saw himself having in this new life of his, with these old friends of his.
Even though he thoroughly knew these people already, that fact made it all the more exciting to watch them grow into their roles in this world. Become the people that he never got to see them be.
"It's that look in your eye."
Yoo Jonghyuk almost startled, as he remembered he was being watched.
He turned to find young Dokja looking him with a gaze that seemed to see beyond his stoic expression.
"My father never looked at anyone like the way you looked at her just now, Hyung." He said, in that small, knowing voice of his, before a shyness seemed to come over him, and he looked down at his plate.
"That's why nine hundred ninety nine was always my favorite." He admitted, in a little voice
The emotion that Yoo Jonghyuk felt then was a rare one, but not entirely new.
A mixture of pride and bashfulness that only his own children had ever raised out of him, a glow that seemed to start from his chest and go on to cover his cheeks.
Perhaps an erstwhile familiarity with that feeling was the only thing that allowed him to save himself from smiling, as he tried very hard to tell Dokja sternly to eat his vegetables.
And when Uriel came home that evening to announce that her manuscript had gotten picked up… well, it wasn't hard to admit that Yoo Jonghyuk too was now living through a life that he never had before.

ACCEPTED // LYRA LETO
district twelve → escort →  Alia Shawkat fc  → she/her
three strengths: intuition, persistence, curiosity three weaknesses: self-righteousness, naivety, conceit
what made your character decide to become an escort?
One word: rebellion. Lyra has heard whispers of an underground rebellion from some of her sources, but she hasn’t been able to get close enough to the action from the outside. She figures that if a rebellion in the Capitol was going to start anywhere, it would be in the Tribute Tower; it has the highest population of scorned District folks, after all. She wants the inside scoop on the stirring unease, and an escort position was easy enough to secure with her family’s status.
bio:
From a young age, Lyra Leto was interested in obscure things. Films, books, rock collections, and even a bug hospital at one stage, Lyra had a tendency to fixate. Of course, her father was always more than happy to indulge in her hobbies. He’d been twenty-four years older than Lyra’s mother, his third wife being the first – and only – to grant him a child. Uriel Leto was a very well-off man, the co-founder of an electronics company in the Capitol that went on to be one of the biggest. Lyra’s parents had divorced when she was very young, her mother running off with her personal trainer and a significant cut of her ex-husband’s fortune. Lyra has only ever seen the woman twice since then, and is of the opinion that she’s not really worth her time.
With three failed marriages under his belt and only one child to show for it, Uriel adored his daughter. In his eyes, she could do no wrong. He doted upon her, and ensured she received anything she could ever want, that she knew the sky was only the limit for those who didn’t dream big enough. Still, her father was a very busy man, and so Lyra was well accustomed to spending a majority of her time being cared for by nannies and babysitters. Her favourite was a woman by the name of Cordelia. She’d only been in her early twenties, but by Lyra’s young estimation, she’d been impossibly old and mature. Cordelia was what was classified as a ‘difficult citizen’. She originally heralded from one of the Districts, and as such had very different views on the Capitol and the Games than what Lyra had heard previously. Sometimes Cordelia would say things Lyra didn’t quite understand, speaking against President Snow and the Games, things she didn’t quite make sense of until she was older.
One day, Cordelia stopped showing up to work. Her father told her she’d gotten a new job, but Lyra knew there had to be more to it. She just didn’t know what. So, she started digging. Lyra had always loved mysteries. She liked guessing the murderer in her books five chapters before the reveal, perusing the internet for unsolved crimes and conspiracies, and formulating her own theories on what might have happened. Cordelia’s disappearance led her to discover more unsolved disappearances, and harsh punishments for anything so much as thinking bad thoughts about the government. She eventually found out what had happened to Cordelia – she’d been made an avox for vandalism. It didn’t make much sense to her, that nobody seemed to be talking about these things. That her father had told her Cordelia had gotten a new job, when that clearly wasn’t the case. Why cover it up?
Journalism seemed like a fitting career for her. She wanted to get to the bottom of things, to shed light on things happening across Panem, and she thought becoming a reporter was the perfect way to do so. People just didn’t seem to be talking about the things that really mattered, and so she would be the first, hopefully paving the way for other people with as much passion as she had. So, three years later with a degree in journalism and communications up her sleeve, Lyra landed her first job at Sponsor’s Weekly. Sure, the magazine hadn’t been her first choice, but she had to start somewhere. She was fired two weeks later, for pitching a story painting their President in a negative light. Whatever, they weren’t ready for her over there.
Her next job was with Panem Today, a national newspaper. Pitching the same story didn’t lead to her dismissal this time, but it did relegate her to reporting only on dresses at red carpet events, which, in her opinion, was even worse than being unemployed. So, she quit. It only took another couple of rejections for Lyra to understand the pattern here. These papers, they didn’t want to publish the truth. They couldn’t publish the truth, they were all under President Snow’s thumb. However corrupt she thought the government was, her opinion was cemented by the way they seemed to control the media. It wasn’t right. Somebody had to do something, somebody had to start uncovering the truth, and, damn it, if it wasn’t going to be her.
The Hidden Truth was originally a working title, but, as her podcast grew more popular, the name kind of stuck. It’s completely anonymous, of course. Recorded in an empty room of her father’s house – he didn’t even question why she needed all the recording equipment, just went out and bought it for his darling little girl. It started off well – digging into the secrets of the Capitol and the Games, real stories, the kind that the papers wouldn’t publish. She thought she was doing the Lord’s work, that she was god’s gift of truth and reason. People started interacting with her platform, sending in tips and theories, stories of corruption and scandal.
However, it wasn’t enough. Lyra started to crave more – more listeners, more fans, and, as many things do, Lyra’s platform for truth started to slide into the territory of absurdity. She started losing listeners when she spouted stories about the government and the Games, day in and day out, and so she started talking about Capitol celebrities. Past Victors. Tributes. Her warnings of corporate greed and government corruption started crossing over into outlandish theories. Is the President really a lizard-person? Does the moon actually exist? Sure, they were ridiculous, but people tuned in. Soon, The Hidden Truth was taken less seriously than tabloid magazines, a funny little podcast to listen to when you needed a laugh, but it was popular. People listened to her, and that’s what she’d always wanted.
Most of the tips that Lyra receives nowadays are pure bullshit, but, a few months ago, she started getting letters that managed to cut cleanly through the static. Rebellion. That’s what they spoke of. Nobody could provide her with much information, but even the mere whisper of an uprising had Lyra’s heart racing. Who was involved? Where was it happening? When was it all going to go down? This was why she’d wanted to become a journalist in the first place, wasn’t it? She needed to find out more, and, what better place to start a rebellion than in a Tower full of people scorned by the Capitol? Securing a job as an escort was easy enough – there was a fairly high turnover of them in the lower Districts. She went through the motions of training and finally got herself a job as the District Twelve escort for the seventy-eighth Games. Not what she would have preferred to be doing with her time, but if she was going to get the inside scoop, she needed to be where the action was.
Thus far, Lyra has managed to figure out surprisingly little. Either these District folk were very good at keeping secrets (likely) or they knew as little as she did (also likely). Whatever the case, Lyra is determined to get to the bottom of this, no matter how long she has to stay ‘undercover’.

Kerobyan Blasted Gonzalez In opening round. In the first bout of the evening, Ferdinand Kerobyan (6-0, 3 KOs) of North Hollywood, Calif. scored a first-round knockout victory against Uriel Gonzalez (1-2-1) of San Diego, Calif. in a scheduled six-round super welterweight fight. Keroyban stalked Gonzalez in the opening seconds of fight and hurt him with a right hand that immediately reddened his face. Then, Keroyban landed a hard counter left hook to the body of Gonzalez, sending him reeling back before unleashing a series of left hooks to the chin that knocked him down immediately. Gonzalez could not make it back to his feet before the count, forcing the referee to call the fight ‪at 1:08‬ of the first round.   "I felt great, and I didn't want to rush it," said Kerobyan. "But when the opportunity presented itself, I had to take full advantage of it. Hopefully, I'll be fighting again very soon and hope to deliver another knockout performance."   Gonzalez vs. Diaz was an eight-round super lightweight fight presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by "TECATE, THE OFFICIAL BEER OF BOXING" and Casa Mexico Tequila. AFL to enter $1.2 billion eSports industry, wants Etihad Stadium tournament
It’s more pop concert than sporting event – think enormous screens, elaborate lighting and hanging LED displays – but it could be the secret weapon to help the AFL lure millennials into its orbit.Professional video gaming, known as eSports, is already a $1.2 billion global industry with an annual audience of 239 million people mostly in the elusive 14-to-34-year age group.
Now the AFL is preparing to enter the burgeoning field in a bold bid to broaden the exposure of its brand and boost sponsorship revenue.

AFL and eSports: The unlikely match
What is eSports and why is the AFL interested?
The league is keen on running an eSports tournament at Etihad Stadium, which it assumed ownership of last October, and wants AFL clubs to sponsor or create their own eSports teams, as some have with AFL Women’s and Super Netball.
Forget about crepe paper banners, kitsch theme songs and athletes covered in oil.
eSports is millennials playing high-stake video games spurred on by thousands of cheering fans and the prospect of millions in sponsorship, prizemoney and endorsements.
“eSports events sell out,” Darren Birch, the AFL’s growth, digital and audiences general manager told Fairfax Media. “They are amazing live events.
“There are more screens, more activities going on, more lights, more LED displays. Some of the tournaments I have seen show that eSports is more concert-like than sport-like, but that’s what appeals to that younger audience.
“All of these things make the experience bigger and bolder than your average sport.”

Put simply, eSports is competitive video-gaming. Tournaments are played online, sometimes in stadiums, where professional teams with professional players battle each other in video games such as League of Legends, Call of Duty and FIFA.
Australia has eight top-tier professional teams with hundreds of semi-professional and amateur outfits below them. The industry here, according to team bosses who spoke to Fairfax Media, is on the tipping point of becoming more mainstream as it is in the US, Europe and Asia.

The AFL is aiming to apply its expertise in running an elite sporting competition to eSports. The league has been inspired by overseas sporting clubs such as soccer’s Paris Saint-Germain and FC Schalke 04 and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, who own eSports teams.
In PSG’s case, the eSports players wear the club’s blue, white and red colours and compete under the PSG badge. Other sporting clubs have more traditional sponsorship partnerships with eSports teams.
eSports is sometimes played in stadiums. Here, teams compete against each other playing ‘Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’ during the Dreamhack Masters eSports tournament at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Photo: AP
Birch recently attended an eSports conference in the US and this weekend will be in Sydney for the Australian debut of the world-renowned Intel Extreme Masters eSports tournament. It will be held at the 21,000 seat capacity Qudos Bank Arena and offers $260,000 in prizemoney.
Birch said the AFL wanted to use eSports to put its brand and its clubs’ brands in front of millennials in order to expand audiences and sponsorship revenue.
“eSports is very strong in the millennial area, so for us it is about diverse exposure to that audience. That’s no different to AFLW where we became more relevant to a female audience.
“Whether that translates into football is somewhat relevant but also not totally relevant. We want AFL, through eSports, to have the ability to generate a broader appeal for clubs and be able to bring more sponsors, revenue and consumption of your brand – whether that’s a live footy event or a live eSports event.”
Some consider eSports a sport, some don’t. Birch points out that US colleges hand athletic scholarships to budding eSports professionals and that the world famous IMG Academy in Florida tests eSports professionals just like athletes.
Fairfax Media understands this isn’t the first time the AFL world, or the Australian mainstream sporting world, has intersected with the eSports industry.
Riot Games – the global gaming giant that makes the wildly popular video game League of Legends – approached former AFL boss Andrew Demetriou and current North Melbourne chairman Ben Buckley to invest, via their business, in an Australian eSports team.
Demetriou is the chairman and Buckley the chief executive of sports technology business Beyond Boundaries Global. Both have a stake in the business. Also recently, NRL team the New Zealand Warriors have been in talks with some of Australia’s top professional eSports teams to discuss possible sponsorship or investment opportunities. Industry sources said other AFL clubs have made similar inquiries.
