For special occasions, I like to take off from cooking and have some me time. I ordered the @dineedinburgh Valentine’s Day meal. I’d booked to eat there numerous times since moving to Edinburgh but every time I was meant to go, lockdown happened. So, I was really looking forward to this - especially because they’re in the Michelin Guide. What a treat to just heat up and plate. The food was great - good quality, fresh and perfectly portioned. I really liked that they give you the option to choose your starter, main and dessert. It sets them apart and helps with the fussy eaters and food allergy requirements in my family. Because we are 4 and it feels weird to have a romantic meal with the teen kids about, we did a family Valentine’s dinner. The bonus is that we could order and try a variety of things. On the menu was... cheesecake with rhubarb, chocolate pots with cherries and shortbread, cheeseboard, beef stroganoff gnocchi, sea trout and veg, seafood cocktail, chicken terrine and chilli pepper soup.
