Death Eaters killed her and her husband over her blood status. He has fond memories of the times with his parents though he doesn’t remember them as well as his brother. Relationship with him:

Hale is Brooke’s older brother. The two have a troubled relationship. While they attended Hogwarts Hale was very popular and the captain of the Slytherin quidditch team.

After their grandfather passed Hale felt responsible to take care of his little brother and grandmother and he took a more fatherly role which annoyed Brooke. Hale always had strong opinions on how Brooke should behave and who he should spend time with disapproving his relationship to Vanya Kavinsky and thinking that he's troubled. Brooke was more sensitive to the Killingbeck abilities while Hale tried to ignore his own connection to the dark. He lied to Brooke about his own experiences making Brooke think he was the only one who had them. Eventually the two came by Demetrius Killingbeck's old writings and found out the truth of their abilities. During Brooke’s sixth year at Hogwarts Hale got a job as the assistant of Sasha Kavinsky to Brooke’s great displeasure. He eventually became involved in the five clubs adventures to the other world. During Brooke’s seventh year he saved The Five Club by staying behind in The Dark Realm. Brooke believed him to be dead for a long time and felt guilty over his fate. When Brooke was 28, The Five Club returned to The Other World and Hale was found not having aged a day while being stuck in there. The Killingbeck brothers were the sons of Julian and Danica Killingbeck. They experimented with alchemy as young men and caused the death of their sister in the process. Demetrius got connected to the darkness and death while Yardley was connected to the light. Demetrius later sacrificed his own life to save his brother but accidentally offended death enough to cause a sort of curse on his family line. His family members always had at least two sons and the other son was destined to die, may it be as a baby or later in life. Many of his family members were also haunted by death and had special abilities.

Relationship with him: Brooke and Vanya were both sorted into Ravenclaw and there was a great chance on them becoming friends during the first months. However when Brooke started getting close to the other Five Club members Vanya grew jealous and the two became rivals. Later on, when Brooke was having trouble with his friends the two grew closer again and started to hook up occasionally. Brooke didn’t want to admit to his feelings and Vanya was always unpredictable. Later on Vanya betrayed him because of his fathers plots and schemes and hurt Brooke in the process causing him the scar on his right cheek.

Judy Bones @gaygryffindorgal Face claim: Violet Brinson

Relationship with her: Brooke got to know Judy as Jesper’s girlfriend. During the sixth year the two became friends on their own which led the other members of The Five Club to think that the two were involved with each other in secret. This caused a rift between the friends. Later on during their seventh year after Judy and Jesper had broken up the two started to grow closer again and developed feelings for each other. 5 years from graduation (and Vanya’s betrayal) the two started to officially date.

Relationship with him: Out of his friends, Brooke is the closest to Darby. Brooke always felt the most comfortable around him and he's the one who Brooke speaks most out of everyone in his life. Darby is also the first one to learn about his secret. When Darby gets affected by The Entity during their seventh year, Brooke feels strongly about finding the fix for it and saving him.

Harker Hartford Faceclaim: William Franklyn Miller

Relationship to them:

Brooke and Harker get along well though they don’t spend that much time just the two of them. They’re both creative and have feelings they’d like to hide from everyone else. Harker's close relationship to Jesper sometimes comes between the two as Brooke feels like Harker would always choose Jesper's side, even when he’s wrong. The two get to spend more time just the two of them during their seventh year when Harker is keeping his distance from Jesper.

Jude Castellan Faceclaim: Andre Dae Kim

Relationship to them: Jude is the joker of the group and manages to get Brooke laugh if he wants to. Jude has a tendency to jump into conclusions and not thinking before saying things while Brooke is the opposite. They manage to get into a lot of misunderstanding but over all are close. They both have a close relationship with a Kavinsky family member.

Jesper Greenaway @gaygryffindorgal Faceclaim: Sebastian Croft

Relationship to them:

Jesper and his family are the whole reason why The Five Club gets involved with The Other World. Brooke and Jesper are both interested about the place and finding out more about it. In the friend group they have the most difficult relationship. They have their issues with the Judy situation and also come from very different backgrounds. Their personalities don’t really match either which causes them to often argue and disagree on things.

We are not very close and we have never met in person but I can say that you are a very tolerant person. You were such a giver.

You were so amazing. You were so cool. You were a perfect embodiment of being a Slytherpuff.

We first met way back 2020 (virtually) and there was a Hogwarts Themed Group Chat that we both entered. I was in a fake name, a total fake persona but I'm real on how I treat them.

She was a Slytherin but the "headmistress" or the one who created the group chat transfer her to our house because Huffs was so underrated. Only few people wanted to be a badger.

Since then I called her Ate (Big sister or any stranger female who's older than you) Ate Slytherpuff.

One time, I mistakenly called Ate Vanya because of "The Umbrella Academy" was in at that time.

She was a very funny and fun to be with person.

She even try to unravel my identity but I choose to mislead her. I can't afford to drop my mask at that time.

Sadly, she would never know what's my real identity is.

The last time I got in touch with them, especially her was last Feb 2021 and I wasn't a year in that account. I promised to myself to unravel my identity two years later but I'm still not big.

Also, that account was foolishly deactivated by me and now I can't recover it.

She was one of the best internet fellow potterheads that I met. That era was nostalgic.

She found me amusing and different.

She was the best of us.

Farewell, Ate Vana Slytherpuff. A great wizard, a great prefect, a great headmaster, a great potterhead and a great friend.

Hufflepuff Five is so good! Are the Hargreeves lives as students as adventurous like the main crew from HP? What about the Ministry of Magic? Would they get involved if someone caught wind of the sibling’s powers that weren’t just magic?

Their lives are SO wack honestly like, they just vibe. They just are going through their magical youth being absolute feral children who don’t trust adults as far as they can throw them while trying to hide their weird funky powers and also ravenously going through magical feats like they’re going out of style

Luther is every sibling’s go-to practice partner because apparently durability extends to being like? Slightly magic resistant? Basically if you hit Luther with a spell it will only be like, maybe half power? So the siblings use him as a magical shield half the time and an experiment the other half and Luther just Suffers Through This until it all goes wrong and he ends up as a werewolf, oops

(But at least Ben is alive! Honestly the only reason Luther wasn’t straight up mauled to death was a combo of his durability, Ben’s proficiency in healing magic, and Ben managing to befriend the acromantulas)

(Luther eventually gets a sense of humor about this after long years of working on accepting himself and constantly threatens to bite his siblings or makes comments about them looking extra tasty when they irritate him)

Allison is a quidditch star, super popular and athletic as all hell. She probably ends up being the Slytherin team captain, honestly. Allison is all glamor and charisma and in her later years of hogwarts has an absolute blast. Allison is very much functional passing so she’s usually the front man to get the professors off their backs, but she also is the front man for a lot of the shit that the family sell for extra spending money. Five and Ben might make potions, but Allison rules the underground black market in slytherin with an iron fist (which gets them into shenanigans involving other kids who Owe Debts)

Diego is on the gryffindor quidditch team and so him and Allison are constantly at each other’s throats on the pitch (Allison sometimes rumors him during matches when she gets within earshot which makes all of the siblings yell at him but she maintains that he gets to use his stupid powers to score points so she should get to as well). Diego gets roped into everything because he’s super soft. He starts a lot of fights because he has vigilante genes so he serves a lot of detentions. His house tolerates him losing them points because the man is a wizard with a quaffle

(Diego and Allison actually practice a lot together, which their respective teams are like HMMMM over but they’re siblings and slytherin knows that Allison would never hesitate to knock Diego off his broom and wave cheerily as he falls to his death, and gryffindor is aware that Diego can, should, and must throw a ball directly at Allison’s dumb face if she gets too close to him because of the Cain Instinct)

(Honestly Allison and Diego do a LOT for interhouse unity, showing that you can still be ride or die for each other while also wanting greatly to kill each other uwu)

Ben is too independent for his own good, which is what gets him into trouble. He likes gardening, and he likes herbs, and sometimes he’s just GOTTA go into the forbidden forest on a full moon to gather these very specific ingredients, c’mon. He also just. Likes spending time in the forbidden forest. He’s Hagrid’s favorite student because he doesn’t bat an eye at all the weird magical creatures, bc homeboy got an eldritch horror in his navel. Ben makes friends with the acromantulas (who have a healthy respect for him after the Horror ate a few of them), patiently avoids the centaurs, and bribes the pixies into giving him their shed wings through liberal application of jam stolen from the Hogwarts kitchens.

You know what Allison is functional passing and Ben is distinguished passing, all their teachers assume that Ben is the most put together of them but they’re WRONG. They haven’t seen Ben at two in the morning yanking Vanya out of ben because if they don’t break into greenhouse four and help those poor fucking plants the first years are tending to they’re all going to DIE and that’s not fair??? ben is single handedly going to save all those poor plants (and all those first year’s grades)

Vanya is just VIBING, he ends up coming out as trans in fourth year and gets to be roommates with Ben which is pretty sweet. If only Ben didn’t drag him into shenanigans?? All the teachers are like “ah yes Vanya, such a quiet boy not like his siblings at all” but Vanya can will should and must climb onto the roof of the astronomy tower to play his violin because He Just Likes To Be Tall. Vanya once punched a snobby ravenclaw kid in the nose and then stared them down saying “the teachers will never believe you.”

Vanya steals Luther to practice his powers with in unused classrooms the most?? he’s durable. he’ll be fine if Vanya blasts him into a wall with his powers lol

Vanya’s solution to all their problems is “do you want me to blow it up with my powers?” or “do you want me to kill them for you?”

(All of the siblings now refuse to duel with Vanya except for Luther bc Vanya is RUTHLESS. He WILL murder his siblings (almost) given the chance. They’re all so lucky that Ben is so good at healing and carries extra vials of healing potions on his person otherwise Madame Pomfrey would be VERY CONCERNED)

Five and Klaus probably get into the most shenanigans? Klaus gets less and less afraid of ghosts the more he runs into nice ones like Fred Weasley. Fred also lovingly nurtures Klaus’s absolutely terrible sense of humor and encourages him to prank the whole school. Klaus knows ALL the secret passageways thanks to Fred, a previous owner of the Maurauder’s map, so he’s just like. Constantly in the walls. He once dropped out of the ceiling to get to transfiguration in time and nobody even commented on it because Klaus is just Like That.

(A few people see Klaus’s boney elbows and knobbley knees and thinks he’s a good target for bullying just because he’s a slytherin and interhouse awfulness absolutely it at an all time high so recently after the war. YEAH his siblings step in and put the fear of god into any bullies, but Klaus fights like a cornered raccoon.)

Five is just way too smart and curious for his own good. He likes to poke around, figure things out, and also make money. Five does people’s homework, charges them for potions or rune work, tutors, dismantles shit in the chamber of secrets, ALSO explores the secret passageways (and finds some that weren’t on the map), is lovingly bullied into Friendship Activities with his housemates, breaks into the other houses’s common rooms for funsies, and keeps getting fed by the house elves who found out he can ‘apparate’ like them (without a wand) and have apparently adopted him against his will

Five is the sibling who has his fingers in like. ALL the pies. and just constantly pops up and drags them into things. Five will be helping Klaus with potions homework then glance up and tell Diego he’s cashing in the favor he’s owed for carving runes into Diego’s knives and that Diego now gets to break into Douglas Eddington’s room to steal back Lana Delwich’s diary so that Five can trade it to Lana for her rare Solomon Babik chocolate frog card which Five can give to Barnaby Beeson in exchange for a Large Distraction of Five’s Choice and a sketchy book on ward breaking which Five needs so he can break into the headmaster’s office to get a confiscated dark magic book that has some information Five needs to alter a potion that he’s probably going to make Luther drink later

Five is the sibling who is like “Ugh, I thought I was trading for some nundu ingredients but now i have a Whole Baby Nundu in the basement :/”

Which, of course, Klaus wants to keep despite the poison breath.

“This is literally one of the most dangerous magical creatures, we are not keeping it.” Luther says, unimpressed. However, he definitely has it cradled in his arms and makes kissy faces at it when he thinks no one is looking. (Apparently baby toxic nundu breath only makes Luther sneeze, so there’s that?)

“If you guys are arrested for smuggling I am not bailing you out.” Is Allison’s only decree about the matter.

Honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if someone DID eventually find out about one of the siblings’ powers - however, they would come to entirely the wrong conclusion about them?? Because this is a world of MAGIC and so everything magical has to have a magical explanation, right???

Luther is durable as all fuck???? Uhhhhh maybe he has some like. Troll blood or giant blood something back in his family line, obviously not something he would ever want the world to know about bc of species-ism

Allison can make you do whatever you want with her words????? Maybe she’s part veela? With that charm appeal?

Five is doing. Wandless apparation?? I mean, that’s rare as FUCK but wandless magic is,,, grudgingly accepted though it’s usually only used for small or very familiar spells and not usually something as complex as apparation but OKAY just sit him down and forbid him from doing it anymore bc boy boutta be SPLICED or some shit

Primarily the kids started off paranoid because they believed that their abilities indicated that they weren’t the same type of magic, and they didn’t want to be returned to their father, and then it progressed into “these abilities might make people scared of us (looking at you allison, with your imperius-ass abilites)” or “we can’t afford that kind of scrutiny or curiosity about our powers (they might find out luther is a werewolf or something idk)” and “if we are ‘desirable’ children with ‘rare abilities’ the government might try to split us up and adopt us into weird pureblood families or something OR might try to lock us up (like where would they even put Ben??)”

honestly if ben ever got found out he’d just deadpan “it’s a curse, hand me the black wormroot would you?” and be like “oh yeah it’s under control i just go vibe in the woods every so often and rip up a tree or something. I think the horror wants to be the whomping willow when it grows up actually, so just don’t get too close when i’m in the horror zone. if you can live with a murder tree on campus you can live with me on campus”

Umbrella Academy - Hogwarts AU

(My reasons for sorting:

Luther - Gryffindor: I know a lot of people would sort him as Hufflepuff, and I agree. I think he’s a Hufflepuff at heart, but at a younger age, he would convince himself to be a hero, a leader, a Gryffindor, just to prove himself (to daddy?). Also, I need to create a rivalry between him and Diego, so it makes more sense for them to be in the same house.

Diego - Gryffindor: This is an easy one. He’s brave, he tries to be a hero, he wants to be there for others, he heads straight to trouble so he can save others - remember the scene at the beginning of season 2? He just arrived in a foreign time and place, he heard a scream and he went to help. Yup, Gryffindor.

Allison - Slytherin: She’s a star, she wants fame, and in season 2, she’s fighting for equality. There isn’t a better word to describe her than ambitious.

Klaus - Hufflepuff: I wasn’t very sure about this one, almost put him in Gryffindor because I know he can be brave (see 2x09). However, I don’t think that’s the main part of his heart. He’s a little bit of an asshole, but he tries to help even though he hides it and denies it, and deep down he wants to have some peace. He wants to be loved and he wants to love others.

Five - Slytherin: Come on. Look at his lil smug face. Can you imagine him in any other house?

Ben - Ravenclaw: He loves reading, which was clearly indicated in the show. I think this sorting is clear enough.

Vanya - Hufflepuff: I also wasn’t very sure about her, almost put her in Slytherin b/c of season 1. But after watching season 2, I think she’s quite similar to Klaus. She can be fierce and tough, but she’s a big softie inside, and she aches for a peaceful life with loved ones. And she’s incredibly loyal to the ones she loves, like Sissy and Harlan, and of course her siblings once she made peace with them.

TUA Hogwarts AU because why not

so i know this has been done a lot but i saw some fanart where the handler was the headmistress and it inspired me so uh yeah

i kinda wrote this as one long ramble as i thought of new ideas so its not very well organised oops

vanya and five are still siblings but none of the others are

vanya is two years older than five and he hates it

vanya is a 4th year five is a 2nd year

theyre both slytherins but vanya would rather be in hufflepuff and five would rather be in ravenclaw

allison is also a 4th year slytherin and is vanya’s best friend

and shes got a crush on luther (ok i dont ship them but it is canon to some extent so im keeping it)

luther is a 4th year gryffindor who follows the rules

diego is a 3rd year gryffindor who does not follow the rules

they hate each other

then there’s klaus and ben who are both 3rd year hufflepuffs and keep getting in trouble

luther hates them because they always seem to be involved with whatever shit diego’s fucked up this time

luther is part giant

he can and will carry misbehaving 1st/2nd/3rd years straight to the headmistress’s office

he’s good at defence against the dark arts, care of magical creatures, astronomy and not much else

diego is insanely good at duels

like insanely good

he’s also very good at defense against the dark arts

allison is part veela and very popular

she’s also very good at charms

klaus is friendly with all the ghosts in the castle

especially peeves, who often joins in on his chaos

he’s a beater on the hufflepuff quidditch team

five somehow taught himself to apparate

he really shouldn’t be allowed to legally but the handler (or Ms Temps as she’d called in this AU) is the headmistress and has a lot of sway in the ministry so he gets away with it somehow

he’s also planning on taking every class in his 3rd year so he can get his hands on a time turner

he’s very good at potions

ben is very very good at care of magical creatures

he’s also managed to befriend the giant squid somehow

vanya is very good at defence against the dark arts

she’s also good at charms which is how she became friends with allison

she’s on the slytherin quidditch team (she’s the seeker)

the commission is basically the death eaters of this AU

of course the handler/ms temps works for them but obviously nobody knows that

nobody knows ms temps’ first name

or why she’s ms temps instead of professor temps
