RIGGING PROGESS: head corners achieved! 🎊🎉
We've got a Vbridger face, parallaxed teeth, parallaxed eyes, brow bone feature that changes shape in response to the eyebrow going up and down, a complex nose made with ✨10 total parts✨, and the nose shadow near the top changes shape in response to the eyebrow position and shape! AND SHOULD I MENTION THAT HALF OF THESE FEATURES WONT SHOW UNLESS THE MODEL IS BALD AND HAS MOTIVATED THE INCLUSION OF THE PLAN TO MAKE A BALD TOGGLE. I MIGHT BE STUPID BUT IM SO GOOD AT WHAT I DO.
she is DONE!!! this commission took over a month to complete but i'm so sad it's overrrr! (thank you orla)
i'm super proud of how she's turned out, and it would honestly be my dream to work on long rig projects like this more often. pop over to vgen if you're curious to see more of my work!
I don't know which program has the issue but my mouth doesn't open when I'm using my model. I tried following all of the tutorials for the microphone setup, but it still doesn't work- unless I turn off my face tracking entirely. I found that out by accident. I don't know what to do.
bro I see all these live2d showcases of BEAUTIFUL art with the WORST rigging every DAY and I want to chew on my controller and yell I can rig better than that just give me a CHANCE!!!!
my biggest flaw is that i can't make a showcase of my rigging so I can't pitch my hat into the ring. even when I stream, I'm using the lumpy cousin of face tracking softwares so my model is glitchy and stiff. I'd do anything for vbridger tracking ..... shy of getting an actual iphone to use it. ughh
Hey, what hardware/software setup do you use for face tracking/effects/rigging?
(Ignore this if it's already answered somewhere else and I overlooked it)
I have a cannibalized iphone on a small tripod that feeds its camera input to a program called vbridger. I use an iphone because it has the best face tracking available on the consumer market. That program interprets it as data for steering a vtuber and sends that to another program called vtube studio which houses the model. That program then sends the vtuber model to a third program called OBS, which is where I stream from. I also have a program running called nyarupad which reads inputs from my controller through USB and applies it to the model as a vtube studio plugin, which is how my model's fingers match mine when using a controller. Finally there's a fifth program called vts-pog which handles text-to-speech redeems and acts as another plugin telling vtube studio when to make Morgan talk.
