#detroit become human #simon pl600 #north wr400 #sometimes i miss drawing simon and today is one of those days #bonus north because i just seem to always draw him in the same pose so shes there to spice it up #do not tell me ive drawn them in the same pose before im a one trick pony i know #also having a lil fun with not drawing all the lines which is insane #as someone who loves drawing line art #today bad (at work) and today wore me out and ive already taken a nap and shower #but you guys wanna know the highlight of my day in the way of i didnt have it on my bingo card?#it was wet and cold and raining and im taking an order out to a truck and the guy is like oh hey can you go to the otherside for em #my wheelchair is behind my seat so you cant really fit things there #and im like yeah ok sure #and then as im loading in the groceries hes like its really cold and raining and you still have to take that out?#do you not have a raincoat? and im like ... no unfortunately i uh... dont normally take orders out #so i didnt think to bring one and yeah its ok #and he just without hesitation after i said no was like DO YOU WANT MINE #sir what no thats so kind of you but no thank you please no i cannot take YOUR JACKET #and i told him no thank you it was very nice to offer but i was like two minutes away from clocking out so id get warm soon!#and he was like oh ok :c and i just think thats so nice ?#like some of the workers will rag on people for still using a grocery pick up service DESPITE working in the pickup dept #and then i take orders out and its to disabled people who cant get out of their vehicles easily #or its stressed moms trying to keep three kids in check who thank me so much for still being a service she can use #cause three kids in a grocery store can be a nightmare #and like ... idk man! thinking about that woman who got like 400 dollars of groceries and was stressed about a gettogether #and i mentioned i had been thinking about getting one of the twelve packs of drinks she got #that was a limited flavor i think and she just goes OH WONDERFUL! can i give you one???#and just was so quick to offer me a can of soda and was so happy when it was already pretty chilled so i could enjoy it #not that every person who uses the service has been polite when i take orders out but the majority have been?#and you might be asking well salmon why was it a bad day

It's so frustrating to me that people see electric automobiles as a green technology. They are anything but.

#Sure lets encourage people to buy more single-person vehicles #with extra heavy bases #requiring extra concrete on the existing roads to deal with the added load #with extremely flammable and toxic batteries (that you really shouldn't be parking in any kind of underground parking)#demanding double or triple the electric power delivery to your home than you needed before you bought the vehicle #requiring your electric utility to tear up your roads to install bigger cables #sure #that's going to be *good* for the environment

our ceo wanted to do a ride along with one of our techs. they got into a fight because that tech essentially said that he's been doing this job for 10 years, and he doesn't want someone who has never been in the field telling him how he should do his work. so now he's riding along with me (the most agreeable tech we have atm lmao).

anyways i spent the last half of my day going over everything with him, and in that time i've discovered that one of the new sop's we're following was made by chatgpt, one of the other changes we're making I didn't know how to implement, and so we couldn't do it because our ceo doesn't know how to do it either, and the big overhaul isn't ready yet, so now i have to go into the shop an hour and a half early to prepare it tomorrow.

#i'll admit the chatgpt thing is like. ghastly.#like bro how are you fighting the incompetency accusations by generating your ideas with the incompetency machine.#anyways. all of this is a joke ultimately #because the major change (company vehicles) is something that absolutely nobody fucking wants #because they decided to use a fucking suv instead of a van.#which is fine for ME because i don't like driving vans and already use an suv #but it is objectively a god awful choice that i fucking hate.#everyone who already uses a van is receiving a mandatory downgrade #like i do noooottt understand how they think anyone believes they care about tech happiness and comfort #while simultaneously going 'hybrid vehicles get better gas mileage which we've decided is worth making you all hate loading/unloading'#which doesn't even get into the change that is literally like.#'in order to save our coordinator time we are going to add that same amount of time to your day'#like we're not saving any time. we're shuffling who has to spend it.#which is fine. but again. not popular when it comes to making your techs think you care about their work/life balance at all #anyways. whatever. i'm leaving in 4-5 months

#cyborg lifeblogging #I hoofed 10 miles in 3 hours gang #With a loaded pack #tbh the pack wasn’t very heavy tho #listen I made an error and I learned a lesson #I went up to the trail on a rainy day #and I was missing all my usual like. backup clothing gear cuz I’d cleared out my vehicle interior #cuz I was gonna be taking some clients out the next day #so I did this thang in the wrong pants. NO sweater #an old rain jacket that I think I need to retire… my beloved done soaked through #I did have a wool hat #but my extremities were all freezing cold and wet #the primary mode of heat was moving #by the end of it I was feeling some chill in my core #rip I really should not have done that #but I was stubborn and didn’t want to bail cuz I’d Driven to get here #wait omg someone did a 9 mile section run in 3 hours… I think this proves that I don’t ever need to get into running #it’s also supposed to be a very beautiful scenic trail with expansive views of the surrounding landscape #with the rain and mist . I saw nothing. xD #save for some neat plants. contemplated invasives and reshaped ecosystem #did feel alive tho

sometimes i sit here worrying “oohhh i’m not qualified enough to do xyz” irt applying to new jobs and then i have days like today where i realize people don’t know how to do something as simple as stack boxes in an orderly manner and i go. ah. maybe i actually am the best for this position
