How Do You Choose The Correct Carbide Turning Insert
Tumblr media
The key to success in Machining is to select the appropriate carbide turning tool insert. In the wrong choice of insert can lead to poor results, and even injury to the workpiece or machine tool.
You can locate a range of carbide turning tools in various sizes and shapes to satisfy your specific machining needs. It can be difficult to know how to select the right insert for your particular project.
Grade
To ensure that the material is machined accurately, the right carbide turning insert will be essential. Selecting the wrong one can cause injury to the tool, machine, or workpiece.
Carbide inserts come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and grades. This makes it easy to find the right one for your needs. It is crucial to keep in mind that not all inserts are created equal.
For instance, a shop that cuts aerospace components could benefit from inserts specifically designed for heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA). Tooling coated with a specific coating can be beneficial for medical facilities that work with biocompatible, corrosion-resistant substances like titanium or 316 stainless steel.
Geometry
It is essential to ensure that the carbide turning device has the right shape and geometry for it to function correctly. This affects the chipbreaker shapes and chip loads, cutting speeds, surface finish, vibration, and chip load.
youtube
In order to select the appropriate cnc cutting insert you need to know how it functions on your lathe and what type of materials you are machining. It is also essential to know what chipbreaker shape is the best fit for your needs.
The majority of manufacturers offer a range of different geometries and grades of inserts to meet the requirements of a variety of industries. This may create a challenge for users.
Nose Angle
Because it impacts the machining process The nose angle (entry/lead) of a pcd insert is vital. It may influence surface finish chip breaking, insert strength, and a variety of other variables. It also has an important effect on cutting forces.
High nose angles give an excellent strength for inserts and are relatively strong, but they require more power and may result in vibrations during the machining. A lower nose angle, on the other hand is less sturdy, yet creates smaller engagements with cutting edges. This causes less vibrations and is more prone to heat.
You should choose the radius of your nose depending on the depth and feed of the cut in addition to the desired finish. The bigger the radius, the more radial and tangential forces will be applied to the cutting edge. This can cause chattering and a poor surface finish.
Size
Carbide inserts are available in many sizes. It is essential to select the right size for your needs. They also differ in depth of cut and specifications for the machine.
If you're turning an enormous piece of metal, it's essential to select carbide inserts that have dimensions that can handle the machining process. The carbide insert must have a diameter that is greater than IC 25mm to handle heavy machine.
Carbide inserts can be used to make a variety of materials. They also have the best surface finish than traditional cutting tools.
Coating
Carbide inserts can be coated to increase hardness, lubricity or to reduce the temperature of cutting. These coatings are typically made by using thermal CVD or, for certain applications, with mechanical PVD at lower temperatures.
Inserts made of coated carbide are great to cut ferrous materials such as iron cast iron, steel and cast iron and super alloys like titanium. The insert's longevity is increased by the heat barrier created by these coatings.
The most common coating used to cover carbide inserts is TiN (titanium Nitride), TiC (titanium carbide) and TiAlN (titanium aluminum Nitride). The thickness of the coating varies on the type of material to be manufactured. It ranges from 3 to 20 microns, 0.001 to 0.0007 inches.

STAINLESS STEEL KITCHEN
Stainless steel, which was historically only used in building as a base material, is slowly gaining prominence in the design of modern kitchens. While they have been used for many years by commercial kitchens, primarily for their strength and ease of maintenance, domestic kitchens are increasingly opening up to the possibilities offered by stainless steel kitchens.
Tumblr media
Fabrinox is the industry leader in the manufacture and supply of mobile kitchens made of stainless steel. Their creative team gives your kitchen a streamlined, sleek look to make your cooking experience trouble-free.
The use of honeycombs in the stainless steel kitchens enables them to provide unmatched SS kitchens with the following characteristics:
Stainless steel kitchens denote robustness and quality which is the key reason for their use.
These kitchens are functional and reliable, they wear and tear and stain that most Indian kitchens witness.
Stainless steel kitchens are heat-resistant and can withstand temperature vagaries in cooking that many other materials are unable to handle.
They are easy to clean and maintain, do not rust easily and can be cleaned with any sort of cleaning agents on them.
Metallic highlights match well with every color scheme, from light and colorful spaces to solid, dark palettes.
They also tend to establish an elegant modern look with paint or wood accents.
They have a light structure and are also recyclable.
Safe due to fire-resistant properties.
Work easily due to excellent flatness.
Avoids any energy jerk due to good thermal & electrical conductors.
There are a few other factors as well that makes the stainless steel kitchen stand out in comparison to other types of kitchen:
Tumblr media
Low support:
The high stainless steel solidity makes holding up substantially easier. The most real harm to it is scratching and can be removed with copper or metal cleaners. Whatever the amount of time it is usually washed, flushed, and dried, you can see it will go on for quite some time.
High toughness:
Steel is now an extremely severe metal unlike anyone else, and its refusal to bend or crack makes it genuinely fair for professional use. The stainless angle originates from its chromium mix, which interacted with the air to form a chromium oxide coating on its surface. It protects the steel from dust and heat, which prevents the item from rusting. Stainless steel is also able to withstand high temperatures, and its impermeability to fire makes it suitable for use in the kitchen close to the range of cooking appliances.
The stainless steel items by Fabrinox are rigid and hard, ideal specifically as the stuff holder for the entire kitchen. They use honeycombs of high quality to create the kitchen cabinets for the crockery and other items. All the products their production unit manufactures are durable and recyclable even after use. They ensure to deliver style & comfort and you can also select from a wide collection of designs and accessories.

Zenith and Felipe Pantone Create Zenith’s Most Advanced Chronograph to Date
Tumblr media
Argentinian-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone has reimagined Zenith’s most advanced chronograph to date, created an object that is at once a feat exceptional watchmaking prowess and a piece of wearable kinetic art – Defy 21 Felipe Panton. The limited edition DEFY 21 Felipe Pantone is a strikingly colourful creation that is all about playing with frequencies – visually and mechanically. The collaborative model expresses the visible spectrum concept of “a kinetic art work that can be worn, with time and light packed in one object,” according to Felipe Panton, in various parts of the watch.
Tumblr media
The movement is the El Primero 9004 self-winding chronograph movement. It can measure 1/100 second, and the center hand makes one revolution in 1 second when the chronograph is operating. The frequency is 36,000 vibrations / hour for time and 360,000 vibrations for chronograph. It has a chronograph power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, a small second at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock. Certified as a chronometer, the power reserve is more than 50 hours.
Tumblr media
The hour and minute hands in the center of the dial also have a special shape, which is intentionally distorted like a lightning bolt, inspired by Pantone’s work, and the rainbow color similar to the bridge of the movement is also applied here with PVD coating. The white and black moire effect that appears in Pantone’s work is reproduced by laser engraving and lacquer technology on the upper part of the bridge of the movement and a part of the dial. The dial indexes and counters are also gradation. The self-winding rotor has a black satin finish.
Tumblr media
Specifically, using a technology that is rare in the world of watchmaking, the large parts (bridge) of the movement are given a rainbow-like color. This is achieved by a three-dimensional PVD coating of silicon particles, and each individual has a slightly different color, making it a unique product.
Tumblr media
The case is also specially designed by Pantone, the bezel has a grid pattern, and the four corners are specially marked with the letters “FP # 1” which means “Felipe Pantone El Primero”. El Primero is the name of the movement manufactured by Zenith, meaning number one. Also unique is that the Zenith logo is placed on the windshield instead of the dial. In addition to the black rubber strap, a rainbow-colored strap that reflects light is also included.
Tumblr media
The package is tailored like a hardcover book, and the cover is a miniature version of the specially crafted Felipe Pantone artwork. The case is made of black ceramic. Water resistant to 10 bar. The case diameter is 44 mm. The mechanical watch limited to 100 pieces is available in Japan for approximately 2.2 million yen ($20,190).

Top 5 Best Corvette C7 Exhaust Systems
The C7 is expected to be the last front-engine Corvette in light of the new C8 Corvette mid-engine model. When the C8 debuted, countless enthusiasts sought out purchase the previous C7 Corvette at the right price. This was true for a number of reasons, including the fact that many did not immediately welcome the Corvette successor.
Those who did revel in the new model began putting their C7s up for sale; so, it was a win-win. If you own or are looking to buy a C7, we have listed some of the top exhaust systems below to help you take its performance to the next level. The exhaust featured here is the Akrapovic Evolution Line system for the C7 Corvette.
The Akrapovic Evolution Line System for the C7 Corvette takes exhaust tuning to new heights. It features mufflers and link pipes constructed from high-grade titanium to drastically reduce the overall weight. The Evolution Line system delivers more power, lowers back pressure, improves throttle response, and increases torque figures. Each pipe is CAD designed and flow tested for maximum horsepower and torque gains. The Akrapovic exhaust system is specifically engineered to maintain the valve regulation of the factory NPP system and is perfectly matched to operate with the five standard GM modes—Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport, and Track. This produces an even greater range of options for drivers to experience the amazing sound potential of the Corvette C7.
The Evolution Line system, with a new X-pipe, delivers even greater performance when compared to the Slip-On Line system, and provides a pure and tantalizing race-inspired soundtrack paired with the enhanced sound traits of the Corvette C7’s V8 engine, without any drone to boot. Four large-diameter tailpipes with titanium inners finish off the look, making it stand out as a true art piece. You will not find the Akrapovic Evolution Line System on every C7 on the block. It’s for the more discerning buyers.

#3 Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust System
The Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust system is one of the brand’s most prominent selling features and one that helped shift the industry toward adopting similar technology. When you purchase an Armytrix Valvetronic system for your Corvette C7, you are arming yourself with revolutionary technology for a smarter and more exciting driving experience.
The main point behind the Valvetronic system is to give drivers control over how loud they want their car to be. It allows you to switch between quiet and loud modes with just the push of a button via the included remote or through a smartphone app. It works by tapping into a vacuum source on your car’s engine and connecting it to the control module. By simply pressing a button, you are communicating with the vehicle’s OBDII module via Bluetooth. The module, in turn, tells the exhaust valve to permit the engine vacuum to open or close the exhaust valve. As if that wasn’t cool enough, you can also set the exhaust valve module to an automatic mode that will open and close the valve based on a preset RPM range or throttle position.
Apart from getting an incredible exhaust note with the open Valvetronic system, your car will also be treated to some added power. Depending on the car, mods, and tune at play, the open valve will also allow the exhaust gas to flow more freely, as it does not have to pass through any muffler. Armytrix has tailored each of its exhaust systems to carry and deliver the maximum payload. The brand’s streamlined systems are lighter, ridding your car of the factory deadweight and offering a more unrestrictive flow as aforementioned. The improved efficiency consequently plays a significant role in horsepower and torque improvements with more liberated performance.

The Meisterschaft GTS (Ultimate Performance) system for the C7 Corvette is engineered for those who want a no-nonsense exhaust that will perform exceptionally and produce an incredible sound at all times. You will turn heads everywhere you go with a tantalizing exhaust note that is second to none. Meisterschaft has achieved the pinnacle of performance and quality with some of the world’s finest exhaust systems. This is one of them.
Meisterschaft exhaust systems for the C7 Corvette are significantly lighter than the OEM unit’s overall carrying weight. The stainless steel (SUS) exhaust systems typically weight 35 percent to 50 percent less than the factory setup. The company’s titanium (Ti) exhaust systems offer weight reductions of 75 percent to 80 percent when compared to the OEM system. The Meisterschaft axle-back exhaust for the C7 Corvette replaces the restrictive factory unit to increase exhaust flow by minimizing bends in the system. The Meisterschaft design team built these exhaust systems to complement the powerplant of your Corvette and increase horsepower and torque figures.
With a better flowing exhaust, you will also experience faster throttle response and more power overall. That added power along with the much louder and aggressive exhaust tone will take your C7 Corvette to heights you’ve never imagined. The polished tips add a classy finish to your Corvette with Meisterschaft’s signature vertical blade in each one. Exhaust tip options include heat-baked dry carbon tips, shadow black chrome tips, or glossy/matte black tips.

#5 B&B (Billy Boat) Fusion Axle-Back Exhaust
B&B (Billy Boat) Exhaust has combined the greatest traits of its aggressive Bullet exhaust with the best technology from the factory to give you the Fusion exhaust no-drone system for your C7 Corvette. This system uses the same exhaust control valve as the factory one so you can experience a nice “Dr. Jekyll” cruising sound and unleash the true “Mr. Hyde” Bullet tone when you want.
Through customer feedback and countless R&D, B&B Exhaust has shortened the muffler assembly, making the “loud” side much “louder” to give it a similar tone to the famous Billy Boat Bullet exhaust system. In other words, with the Fusion exhaust, your C7 Corvette will experience the best of both worlds. In the closed position, the exhaust note would be slightly louder than the standard Route 66 system. The Fusion exhaust is mandrel-bent from the highest-grade T304 stainless steel. It has been designed, tested, and built to stringent quality standards, boasting the finest handmade integrity in any exhaust system on the market. This one features 4-inch quad round double-wall tips.
The butterfly is controlled by a vacuum valve for non-NPP C7 models, as well as the C4, C5, and C6 Fusion exhausts which we built and developed completely in house. For C7s equipped with the NPP option, this valve is controlled by the ECU. The valve opens based on RPM and throttle position. With the factory exhaust, the tone is very quiet even with the valve open. B&B put its expertise to the test to achieve the perfect tone for your Corvette with this Fusion system. Even in the closed position, the sound is deeper, louder, and more aggressive than from the factory. When you open the valves up, prepare to turn heads as you drive and experience an increased volume and tone that will tantalize your senses.

About the Corvette C7
The seventh-generation Corvette was manufactured for the 2014 through 2019 model years. The C7 Corvette was the first to use the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray name since the C3. The inspiration behind the C7 Corvette’s design cues were borrowed from the previous C6 Corvette, i.e. the exposed headlights. However, its looks appeared to be a dramatic departure from its predecessors. The all-new C7 spotlighted a more muscular and angular front end with trapezoidal taillights that strayed from the traditional dual set of round lenses.
The first C7 Corvettes hit the market in the third quarter of 2013 for the 2014 model year. The last of them were sold in the first half of 2019. It marked the brand’s biggest change in over a decade. Power was delivered in the form of a new LT1 V8 with a 6.2-liter displacement that pushed out 455 horsepower to the ground. It was mated to either a six-speed automatic transmission or a seven-speed manual transmission. The former was replaced by an eight-speed automatic in 2015.
As the years went by, Chevrolet came to introduce more powerful models in coupe and convertible form. The new Corvette Z06 was reintroduced for the 2015 model year. It featured a new 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that made 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. 2017 saw the introduction of the brand-new Grand Sport model, which combined the components and styling cues from the Z51, Z06, and the Stingray. The following year, Chevy announced the ZR1 model. Like the Z06, it was powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, but it produced 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. The ZR1 was available with either a seven-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic.

Apex 19 Hybrids & Irons
By ED TRAVIS
Callaway Golf’s announcement of the Epic Flash driver and fairway woods was accompanied by the introduction of new hybrids and irons under the Apex 19 name. Though most of the media attention will be aimed at the Flash driver those savvy in the sometimes-complicated world of golf gear are paying lots of attention to Apex 19 family members.
Starting with Apex 19 Hybrids, for the first time Callaway has been able to design in Jailbreak rods. The rods, first seen in the Epic driver two years ago and in last year’s best-selling Rogue driver, are steel rather than titanium as in the drivers but serve the same purpose. Running from crown to sole just behind the face they tie the crown and sole together which concentrates more energy in the face by not allowing the crown to have as much flex at impact. The Apex 19 Hybrids with the most iron-like trajectory and a modified head shape will appeal to better players—pros and low handicaps.
Apex 19 irons come in two types, one a players-distance category design and the other called Apex Pro 19 Callaway classifies as Tour-performance distance iron. Both are forged from 1025 mild carbon steel and use the air-filled urethane microspheres originally developed for the Rogue irons to improve impact sound and dampen vibration. The microspheres surround a MIM’d tungsten weight which was first seen in Epic and then Rogue irons. It is made of a mixture of steel and tungsten injection molded into shape with various ratios of the two metals specific to each iron loft. This gives a lower placement of the center of gravity in the longer clubs and a higher placement in the scoring clubs.
The well-regarded 360 Face Cup construction that helped the company take the top spot in irons sales is used in Apex 19s with modified thicknesses across the face to actually add spin back to the ball since the design inherently produces too little spin at certain points of impact. This Variable Face Thickness controls spin for accurate distances.
The Apex 19 short irons have been made with a more compact head and different offsets than the previous generation Apex 16 of three years ago.
The Apex Pro 19 is being touted as occupying a completely new iron category of Forged Tour Performance. Starting with input from Callaway’s endorsement staff engineers paid attention to the iron’s shape as they created the 1025 mild carbon steel heads. They came up with a straighter leading edge with a higher toe and thin top line complementing the smooth hosel transition to give a “Tour-look” at address. Then to tune in the proper ball launch and impact feel they worked to exactly place a 50-gram tungsten weight in each.
A combo set of Apex 19 and Apex Pro 19 is available with the sole shape camber of the Pros matched to that of the regular model as well as having lofts better matched to those of the regular.

A symbol of technology and an example of total control of industrial processes and manufacturing costs, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02T movement features a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and an ultra-light carbon and titanium tourbillon cage. But one of the main challenges for the La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmakers was to house the chronograph functions, the self-winding mechanism and the flying tourbillon in a calibre with a diameter of 31 mm. All this while ensuring an ideal distance between the subdials to give it a contemporary look. It is the same movement that pulses in this limited edition, but this time, the watch impresses in blue, from the bridges of the tourbillon cage to the rubber that protects the crown and pusher buttons. For the first time, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02T has a full dial with a blue sunray design creating the most beautiful effect. Even the ceramic tachymetric bezel is finished in this cerulean blue with hypnotising reflections. The oscillating mass has been given a PVD coating so as not to be out of place in this azure composition. Fitted with a 45 mm grade 5 titanium case, this chronograph has another surprise in store. Previously sporting alligator straps sewn on black rubber, or even just soft rubber, it dares to make the switch to this new model with a grade 2 titanium bracelet. That is a first! In addition to its lightness, this material gives this TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02T timepiece a sporty yet elegant look. This exceptional watch is priced at 20,500 Swiss francs. https://www.instagram.com/p/COH7v0GLkDa/?igshid=kt4tx9mik306
