I love you video lectures with student engagement. Thank you Gary for wording what the professor said in a way I understood better. I know nothing of you, could not pick your face from a crowd, couldn't even recognize your voice in person as the audio quality on anyone but the professor is mediocre leaning into terrible. But I have written in my notes that this is Sharon's algorithm because you were the one that suggested this method of solving the problem and that's what the professor jokingly named it too

flowers blooming in such heft and numbers they bend the plant over and plants bearing fruit so hard they shower everything under it in fruits or make the very branches bend…. creatures are just experiencing vast bounty and good fortune out there fr fr

dude. my life fucking rules. feathered velociraptor shleich figurine for $2 at the op shop. captain of one of my favourite ferries complimented my shirt TWICE (and we are now introduced!). new friend waved me over to sit next to her in a lecture. found a way to make my pony collection even more enjoyable. sky was so beautiful it was a crazy pale blue and there were cirrus clouds catching the sun. the ocean looked like molten green glass. I'm going swimming in the sea and having lunch with a few friends in a weeks time. I've earned 500 dollars this week just from my art which is a milestone I didn't expect to hit without joining a company. I'm not feeling as fatigued as usual. it rained in the morning which was really lovely. I thought I was going to be super late for uni but I made it right on time. I'm kind of in love with the world today

That same 9th grade history teacher gave us tons of busywork assignments (it was an AP class) and when we complained he never justified the assignments, he just told us we had to do them. He also never tried to actually enforce them. He assigned us work to complete over the course of two weeks and collected it when we took the tests and all of us to a kid were doing all of it the night before the test every single time and he knew this but he didn't actually confront us about it and take points off, probably because he didn't want to deal with our parents getting mad at him. He also dropped one of the busywork assignments the following year which pissed me off because he basically admitted it was unnecessary but still made us do it for the entire year. My mom did get him to change something once by asking him to explain how something was pedagogically advantageous and he just changed it without trying.

no drawings for you today but! i found this skit my friends and i had to do way back in 2023 for a group project in uni
basically we had to take a short moment from the iliad/the odyssey and turn it into a modern day skit and of course we turned the moment patroclus died into a basketball match
here was the original story plot for our skit: achilles no basuke

the problem with ai isn't that it's ai it's
evil companies pushing ai to devalue labor and creative products.
misconceptions about how ai works, leading to people attributing it an intelligence and sentience it does not have, which feeds into
misinformation, the decrease in effort needed to create disinformation, and the sudden increase of skill needed to spot falsified info. 3a. this includes content creators using ai to flood searches with low-quality articles and inaccurate photos, people not being transparent when they use ai for their images, and things that make it harder to do casual research online
lower threshold for doing hard work that polishes skill, leading to over-reliance on a very flawed tool.
the tool itself isn't the problem. it just exacerbates things that were already problems before.
