The south vs. Bollywood debate has not settled yet. While there are many that state that both the industries can run parallelly and can also help each other develop better content, there are a few who question that the two can ever co-exist. actress-turned-politician Jayasudha has also voiced her opinion recently, although, her opinion was entirely different. She had her complaints regarding the Government as the government awarded Padma Shri to Kangana Ranaut within her ten films.

Jayasudha was appearing in a talk show Unstoppable with NBK song along with her contemporary Jaya Prada, hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna on Aha. Jayasudha said that she has observed that the work of Kangana got recognition after just 10 films whereas there are veterans who aren’t recognised till date.

“I'm okay with Kangana Ranaut getting Padma Shri. She is an amazing actress. Yet, she received that award within 10 films. Over here, we have worked on many films yet are not recognised by the government,” said Jayasudha on the show.

The veteran actress further added, “Even Vijaya Nirmala, the woman director who is on the Guinness Records, hasn't received such appreciation. Sometimes, I feel bad that the South is not being appreciated by the government.”

As she mentioned that they should not ask to be recognised but it should come from the government itself, actress Jayaprada added, “We should get it respectably and not by asking for it.”

Veteran actor, director Vijaya Nirmala passes away Veteran South Indian film actor and director Vijaya Nirmala passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on June 26 night. She is survived by her husband and hero of yesteryears Krishna. She was 73. In 2002, she entered the Guinness Book of Records as the female director of the most number of films. In 2008, she received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contribution to Telugu cinema. Nirmala went on to play the lead roles in films like Alluri Seetharama Raju, Meena, Poola Rangadu, Asadhyudu, Bangaru Gajulu, Mosagallaku Mosagadu, Thatha Manuvadu, Engaveettu Penn, Panama Paasama, En Annan, Gnanaoli, Uyira Maanama, Bhargavi Nilayam and Udhyogastha among more.

02/7Dhanush’s 40th project titled Jagame Tantram, motion poster unveiled

Actor Dhanush’s upcoming film with director Karthik Subbaraj has been titled Jagame Thanthram, its makers revealed via a motion poster. The film, which stars Action fame Aiswarya Lekshmi as the leading lady, will see Dhanush playing a gangster and donning a different avatar. Leading production companies of India, GA2 Pictures and UV Creations will be presenting the Telugu version of D 40 in the Telugu speaking states. The film which also features Joju George and Kalaiyarasan playing the supporting roles has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

The theatrical trailer of Hit has been unveiled by the makers, and it is filled with a load of twists and turns throughout it. 07/7Vijaya Nirmala’s bronze statue unveiled on her birth anniversary

The late legendary actress and director Vijaya Nirmala’s bronze statue was unveiled by her husband, Superstar Krishna, on her 74th birth anniversary. Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodhkar, Naresh, Krishnam Raju, Minister of Animal Husbandary, Fisheries and Cinematography of Telangana, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and more were present at the unveiling. Vijaya Nirmala breathed her last in June last year. She was one of the very few female directors in the industry. She acted in around 200 films and directed 44 films, making her a prominent name in the South Indian film industry.

RIP! Veteran Telugu actor Vijaya Nirmala passes away

Veteran Telugu actor Vijaya Nirmala passes away today in Hyderabad. She breathed her at Continental Hospitals in Gachibowli. She was suffering from age-related illness. She was 75.

Vijaya’s son Naresh, who is also a popular Telugu actor, took to Twitter to announce the death of his mother.

“I regret to inform you that my mother, senior artiste, prominent producer and director Dr.A G Vijaya Nirmala passed away during early hours today, that is, 27.6.2019, at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad, due to sickness. She was 75,” Naresh tweeted.

“Her body will be kept at our residence from 11 a.m. Final rites will be held tomorrow (Friday),” he informed in another tweet.

Vijaya Nirmala entered cinema at the age of five as a child artist with a Tamil movie Machcha Rekhai (1950)  and four years later she forayed into Telugu cinema with the film “Panduranga Mahatyam”.

It was through 1964 Malayalam film Bhargavi Nilayam, she rose to stardom and got noticed. She went on to work with Prem Nazir again in Udhyogastha.

As a leading lady, she made her Telugu debut with Rangula Ratnam alongside Vanisri and Anjali Devi. In 1967, she starred in Telugu film Sakshi and it’s on the sets of this film she met actor Krishna with whom she worked in 47 films and eventually ended up marrying. However, it was her second marriage.

Vijay Nirmala, who has directed 44 films, was a visionary filmmaker and she made her directorial debut via 1971 Telugu film Meena, which was based on the eponymous popular novel written by Eddanapudi Sulochana Rani. Two year later, she directed her first Malayalam film Kavitha.

In 2002, she entered the Guinness Book of Records as the female director of the most number of films. In 2008, she received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contribution to Telugu cinema.

Vijaya is survived by husband Krishna, (who is also Mahesh Babu’s father) and son Naresh.

38 Years of Love Story (27/02/1981)

Love Story is a 1981 romantic movie directed by Rahul Rawail. The film stars Rajendra Kumar alongside his son Kumar Gaurav and Vijeta Pandit, both making their film debuts. Vidya Sinha, Amjad Khan, Danny Denzongpa and Aruna Irani also appear in supporting roles. Kumar Gaurav was launched in Bollywood through Love Story. The film got "blockbuster" status, making Kumar Gaurav a "Star" overnight.

Love Story remains one of the most popular romantic films in Bollywood history, for the teenage innocent love of Bunty and Pinky. The film helped to cement Kumar Gaurav and Vijayta Pandit's acting careers in the Bollywood industry. The beautiful locations of Kashmir, the lovely songs, the cute pair of Kumar
