you ever just know deep in your heart that more people would love a Thing if it had been in a different format? that’s me with Happy Feet. i love it as a movie, but i think it would’ve made more sense as a stage musical first. something about watching people on a stage evokes a higher suspension of disbelief; maybe because if you can accept that they’ll sometimes break into song and dance, you can accept anything. mark my words, people would’ve had no issue with the humans-as-cosmic-horror and the neurodivergent allegory and the religious commentary and the horny bits, send post

'Training Day' Movie and 4K UHD Review
The following review was written by Ultimate Rabbit correspondent, Tony Farinella. It has been a long time since I have sat down and watched “Training Day” from start to finish.  Upon hearing about its 4K release from the fine folks over at Warner Brothers, I was looking forward to sitting down and revisiting it and seeing how it would hold up twenty-two years later.  Denzel Washington can…

This Wednesday I've watched Wonka. And just have one thing to say: This was the sweetest film I've ever seen in my life. Chamalet's Wonka will guarantee you a large dentist's bill, and the fourteen songs that play through the movie are worthy of a butterfly-worthy belly ache. That is not all, Mr. Bean and Hugh Grant are here as well! I do believe Timothee is about my age - his career began in 2018. After all, most actors began acting by at least 15-25 years old, for example, Johnny Depp, who also played Willy, was like 16 in Nightmare on Elm Street! Just remember: if the film's opening/closing credits say "introducing X", that means is somebody's first debut. In conclusion, I highly reccomend this movie. Not for the diabetics/allergics to sugar though! And bonus points...it shares Paddington's director and Harry Potter's producer. Hope you like it! More Tim Burton Art Dumps Yay!
Tumblr media
Yippee! More Tim Burton art dumps! I know it's kinda late but at least I got them done! These were done Thursday ^^
1. Willy Wonka creating a chocolate sculpture of himself (hoping it wouldn't melt) ^^
2. Tarrant Hightopp trying on different hats ^^
3. Lydia Deetz wearing a strange red dress, doesn't seemed to be impressed with it since Goth is her only style choice (I am terrible at drawing her ;_;)
4. Just 5 sewing :3
5. Emily placing her roses on a vase 💙
6. Jack with a candlelight ^^
I know they are not that perfect but at least I have them done, and had them done early before the 20th.
I watched some of my favorite Tim Burton movies, and Corpse Bride I just watched yesterday and rewatched it again with my mom ^^
What y'all think?

Film icon Pam Grier has teamed with Village Roadshow Pictures to develop a project based on her bestselling 2010 memoir, “Foxy: My Life in Three Acts.”
Known as the queen of 1970s Blaxploitation classics like “Coffy” and “Foxy Brown,” plus Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-nominated film “Jackie Brown,” Grier is enjoying her latest act thanks to movies like 2023’s “Cinnamon.” That film kicked off her relationship with Village Roadshow Pictures, which produced the title under the company’s Black Noir Cinema banner for Tubi.
“Foxy: My Life in Three Acts” details Grier’s legendary screen career; her relationships with Richard Pryor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Freddie Prinze, among others; her experience as a Black female star in an era with rampant racism and sexism; and her battle with stage-four cervical cancer, diagnosed in 1988, when she was told she had 18 months to live.
Tumblr media
The production is in the early stages of development, so fans will have to wait and see if Grier’s story becomes a big screen biopic or a series. Jillian Apfelbaum, Tristen Tuckfield, and Nic Gordon will oversee the project for VRP, with Grier serving as executive producer.
Grier is an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award nominee whose resume also includes starring roles in Showtime’s “The L-Word,” “Linc’s,” plus a featured arc on NBC’s “This Is Us.” The Tubi original movie “Cinnamon,” which was directed by Bryian Keith Montgomery Jr. and also starred Emmy nominee Damon Wayans and Grammy nominee Hailey Kilgore, premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. The crime thriller won two prizes at the American Black Film Festival and was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards.
Next, Grier stars in the second installment of the horror anthology series “Them: the Scare,” premiering April 25 on Prime Video. Grier takes on the role of Athena, described as a “meticulous, clever and prideful” woman with “mama bear qualities who has hidden secrets.”
She is represented by IAG, LINK Entertainment and attorney Leigh Brecheen.

Analyze This (1999)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Analyze This has a sequence where machine guns are used at night, shortly after one of the main characters breaks down crying. This sequence lasts about 90 seconds, and it is safe to watch again once the sound quiets down, with characters describing what happened during the strobe effects afterward. There is a flicker of bright light in the second production company logo at the beginning, the Village Roadshow Pictures one that immediately follows the Warner Bros. logo.
At the beginning of the film, there is a single shot where the camera shakes while people run. The rest of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.
Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 1/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: One character has multiple panic attacks on-screen. One character exhibits homophobic attitudes, and uses a slur to convey them.

'The Great Gatsby' - Even Baz Luhrmann Can't Bring Fitzgerald's Classic Novel to Life
‘The Great Gatsby’ – Even Baz Luhrmann Can’t Bring Fitzgerald’s Classic Novel to Life
I once had a teacher in college who told me filmmakers keep making the same movie over again and again without even realizing it, and Baz Luhrmann is a prime example of this. His “Romeo & Juliet” and “Moulin Rouge” dealt with characters looking back at a past they can never return to and of love affairs which ended tragically. His adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel “The Great…
