Absolutely in LOVE with this outstanding vintage 1970’s Suzani Floral Tapestry from Uzbekistan that Leo is so fabulously modeling. The meticulous stitched colors and patterns are just so magnificent, that I can’t tell whether I’d want to deck out my bed or couch with this gorgeous textile or hang it on the wall. What would you do? #suzani #suzanitapestry #tapestry #suzaniembroidery #vintagesuzani #1970s #70sstyle #decor #decorate #gift #colorfultextiles #textileart #uzbekistantextiles #uzbekistan #embroideryart #embroidery #shop #nyc #unionsquare #beadsofparadise (at Beads of Paradise NYC) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5JanPKBhLD/?igshid=qe842z6gj1bw

For just $150.00 UZBEK VINTAGE HANDMADE EMBROIDERY ORIGINAL SUZANI We are happy to represent you extremely bright, rich, multi-stylish art of Central Asian decorative embroidery - one of the outstanding arts of Central Asian region. This embroidery is to decorate different dressing gowns, dresses, scarves, tubeteika, small household items and many other things. But the most magnificent impression makes a large hand- embroidered decorative panel known as Suzani. The term «suzani» («needle», «sewing by a needle») origins from Tadjik language «suzan» - "needle". Suzani, suzane, is the decoratively embroidered panel either on a white or color cotton fabric or silk, widespread among the people of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and used as an element of interior decoration. Suzani was a part of bride's obligatory dowry. Traditionally the embroidery started at a birth of the daughter and continued till the bride's dowry had not been completely collected. However, household use of such embroideries had also the ritual character connected with ancient beliefs in national consciousness: embroideries as a whole, and their separate patterns in people's representation had magic character, served for a young pair as a talisman against the evil spirits that could harm. The key Suzani designs are nests, flowers, images of birds, ancient magic symbols.Suzani has many classifications, such as:Joynomoz - a rug for a pray - the pray should not be made on a naked floorBolinpush - a coverlet for pillows Bishikpush - a coverlet for a cradleRuijo - a bed surface (a bed-sheet for marriage ceremony that put on a just-married couple bed)Zardevor - the embroidered friezes to decorate the top part of walls of a roomBugdjoma - wrap clothes and bed-clothesGulkurpa - one of two basic types of Tashkent suzani, where ornaments are freely located and representing a blossoming bushes or branchesKirpech - the vertical embroidery intended for curtain of an average narrow niche.Nimsuzani- the smal...

Danke, sweet Berlijn for another fun, challenging and BEASTLY week in your gallows... Achieving your dreams is hard stuff, people! And being an entrepreneur in your own, let alone a foreign country, is next level. Never underestimate the time + energy that goes in BEHIND THE SCENES of every creative person + self-starter you know - some of you feel me now, & can totally relate. The fulfilling + inspiring life that comes out the other side is a product of sacrifice, serious focus & also lots of boring stuff that simply needs to happen to push ideas through (like taxes, books, paperwork + booking spaces/trains/planes/hotels/talent in advance). Finding balance is sometimes near impossible while on the road... but I’m learning. With a little help from my friends, incredible roomies 🕺🏻🕺🏽🙆🏼‍♀️ + extended Berlin family 💞👩‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👨‍👧👨‍👨‍👧‍👦. And soon, my Austrian family 👩‍👩‍👦‍👦👩‍👩‍👧‍👦! See you tomorrow! Love you all, & here is a picture of me testing out some new @intrepidshepherd merch in my bedroom, on my last night in there for a bit 🤗 SEE YOU SOON, VIENNA #gettinghighonmyownsupply Painting above my bed is by @thekevinbright #vintagesuzani #furblanket #cottonheaven #homesweethome #entrepreneurrealities #smallbusinessownersclub #werkwerkwerk #uniquetextiles #babouche #marketlife #everontheroad (at Richardkiez) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bohjd_PnLHF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=183pzkdvctn7r
