But the most magnificent impression makes a large hand- embroidered decorative panel known as Suzani. The term «suzani» («needle», «sewing by a needle») origins from Tadjik language «suzan» - "needle". Suzani, suzane, is the decoratively embroidered panel either on a white or color cotton fabric or silk, widespread among the people of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and used as an element of interior decoration. Suzani was a part of bride's obligatory dowry. Traditionally the embroidery started at a birth of the daughter and continued till the bride's dowry had not been completely collected.
