...he regretted his separation from Agrippina, and the only time that he chanced to see her, he followed her with such an intent and tearful gaze that care was taken that she should never again come before his eyes. (Suetonius, Life of Tiberius)

I’m so upset with what they did with Vipsania in domina. She deserved a better portrayal. She wasn’t evil or anything but I just didn’t like her character portrayal
yeah, i hate it too, tbh. i feel like they made her "weird" to match tiberius' weird but even so, why doesn't she have any kind of relationship with her father? agrippa comes back after 3 years and no hug, no nothing, just simple "the sex is great and i hate livia" on the question "how are you?" - it's absurd.

Hi I was reading about Tiberius and it mentioned how he had to divorce his first wife Vipsania. Do we have any sources on what happened to her after her divorce? Could she still see her child?
Hello! Tacitus has preserved a bit about her life, and he's usually pretty accurate:
She married Gaius Asinius Gallus, son of the historian Pollio, soon after the divorce from Tiberius. (Annals, 1.12)
She and Gallus appear to have had several sons and one or more daughters. Tacitus, Cassius Dio and Pliny mention five Asinii who are probably her children in Annals 3.75, 4.1, 4.61; Roman History 60.2.5 and Naturalis Historia IX 3.67. An inscription in Puteoli (CIL X 1682) may also refer to a sixth son.
The sources don't explicitly say whether she got to see her son with Tiberius, but it's unlikely. Tiberius himself was forbidden from seeing her, and children usually stayed with the father in divorces. But the son (Drusus) remembered her fondly, and had statues and coins made in her memory after she died.
She died of natural causes sometime around 20 CE, probably in her 50s. (Annals, 3.19)
Honestly, she probably had a relatively peaceful life compared to a lot of politicians in Tiberius' later years...

Now that I've mentally cast Henry Cavill as Tiberius I'm having a hard time not thinking about Tiberius

Mystery of Love by Joseph Coomans (1857)
The late 30s proved momentous years for Tiberius. Hot on the heels of his father’s death, discounting mourning obsequies, he found himself engaged. This happened before March 32 bc, when Tiberius was still only nine years old.19 His bride-to-be had recently celebrated her first birthday. She was Vipsania Agrippina, the daughter of Octavian’s closest friend, Marcus Agrippa. We do not know if Tiberius himself was consulted, though this seems unlikely. Nor is Livia’s role in the match clear. On her father’s side, Vipsania was the daughter of a novus homo , without patrician blood; her mother’s family could boast only equestrian rank. Elements of Vipsania’s family shared the Republican politics of Livia’s father and first husband - her maternal grandfather Atticus was that correspondent of Cicero who had negotiated the latter’s purchase of Marcus’s property in Rome in 50 bc; like Marcus, Cicero had fallen victim to the Triumvirs’ Proscriptions. The point was a tenuous one, however, and possibly insufficient to slake Claudian pride. If, on the surface, Agrippa gained more than Livia from the match, Livia had the consolation of Tiberius marrying within Octavian’s inner circle. Perhaps at this stage her sights were not set on Julia, Tiberius’s stepsister, as a bride for her elder son.
—Matthew Dennison, Livia, Empress of Rome

thanks for answering my question! Whenever you have more time for requests for Domina can you do the outfits of the kids generation like Marcella, Antonina, Antonia, Vipsania and Julia and maybe some of the guys too? Thank you!! :)
Sure. I still have an outstanding request from season 01 about Marcella and Antonia anyway, so I will combine these. I already did Julia's from the first season btw.

When the ep 1 intro has Tiberius and Vipsania laying together, he feeds her and kisses her on the cheek so sweetly.
Then the ep 3 intro has Germanicus And Aggripina laying together, he feeds her and Tiberius is just right next to them.

✨Domina Episode 7 opinions:✨
- now we’re getting Dark Drusus??!! Drusus with the man bun? Drusus with the gambling addiction?
- bothers me a little (historically) that they’re calling him Germanicus, he wasn’t know as that until after his father’s death
- the Antonias really keeping this family together
- not Tiberius crying when he saw Vipsania
- Julia’s kids at the wedding wedding were so cute. Kinda sad they missed a little Germanicus/ Agrippina foreshadow
- and Tyco this epi was **chef’s kiss**
- Scribonia has been growing on me this season, but especially this episode
🌸 And episode 8: 🌸
- Tiberius and his little son, we needed more of that
- how come we got zero of Tiberius being the war hero that he historically was? we only got Drusus
- they forgot like 2 of Julia’s kids in that scene lol
- why did Drusus ask Tiberius to kill him?? he knows his brother is unstable, didn’t cross his mind that killing (even mercy killing) one’s brother might send him over the edge
- all the horns going off after Drusus’ death made me tear up. and Livilla holding his hand 😭
- Illus has no problem killing Marcella, but can’t kill Domitius?? what!?
- Antonina and Livia are about to have BEEF next season believe me
- Tiberius killing the baby?!
Anyways, season 2 finale! What did you think?
Predictions for next season? I think they may recast characters because Livia and Augustus are like in their 50s and the children are 30s
