Vyn Fandom, happy Arrival Celebration Event to all of us.

Just warning that my contribution to the event is half ready: The watercolor is ready, and the short fic (it has 10 pages let's see how many words 🤡) is written in paper, needing to be typed. Things are messy now, so I'll have to type it in my cell phone, help. Probably will be able to do it later today, but don't find it strange if in the end I manage to post it all after the new year 🤡

Can't wait to sit and look at all contributions!

Oh boy I'm torn if I'm gonna let this be a long post. I love reading, though sadly I can't read as much as I used to anymore since work and stuff but here goes:

For the published folk:

Neil Gaiman - This guy had inspired a lot of writers, iirc. I got into Sandman when I was still too young to be included in its target market but it was so magical, yet at the same time so grounded in real life that it's easy to slip into his stories. I remember thinking yeah, if I were to write fantasy I'd like to write stuff that he does, mostly urban fantasy.

Haruki Murakami - Japanese magical realism is a helluva thing. Reading one Murakami book is like walking empty urban streets at 3 am, when all is wet after a recent rain and everything's quiet except for the distant sounds of traffic....ah, take the chance to read one of his novels if you could! After Dark and Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World are my recos.

Terry Pratchett - I'm not sure if his wonderful Discworld series touched my writing style, specifically dry humor (I'd like to think so, at least) but it sure did inspire imagination. His books are also probably the only out and out political/social commentary that I can tolerate in my reading.

For easy, actiony reading I pick up a few Japanese (translated) light novels from time to time, most notable are Nisioisin's Zaregoto and Katanagatari, and Ryogo Narita's DRRR.

For fanfic folk:

To be honest I only started really delving into fanfic at September 2021 and yes, Tears of Themis is the only thing I write about. And yes, sussy Vyn. Only Vyn. Eheh.

So I only have a few fanfic writers who caught my eye over the short time I've spent with this fandom so far. You can find them in my AO3 bookmarks here

Special mention to the Vyntober series, this wonderful, well-written series that convinced me to continue Vynposting and well...here I am =D

For the free day I decided to finish a sketch from the last year’s Halloween 😌 And you can find the Enderal Halloween flying heads series on my page if you scroll far enough 😁

This piece is kind of rushed (only two days?) as I was super short on time, but rn I like it a lot ♥︎ I used a bg by Nix Hydra as drawing my own would take another day 🤫

Although it’s the last day of the Vyntober event, I still have some other prompts on my list, so 😏 stay tuned! And of course huge shoutout to the people who took part and thank you all, it was fun🖤

First of all, let me congratulate all people who took part in this amazing challenge. You are heroes! I managed to complete 14 drawings and I'm proud of myself too 👌🏻😏 We did an awesome job! I love seeing people creating Enderal content. This game deserves all the love we can give.

And here we are! What a wild ride! Thank you for joining the event and creating this mindblowing amount of beautiful pieces of all kinds! You all are amazing!

I prepared this shot with the contributors list, it includes people from Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter, and it wasn’t so easy to track each entry, so I hope I haven’t left anyone behind! The list is randomised, as it wasn’t a contest of any sort ♥︎

Vyntober days 7-10

Day 7: A Song in the Silence. When I first visited Silvergrove, I thought it was absolutely strange with all this peacefulness around, unlike other places in Enderal. So I wasn't surprised, when the truth came out. Ryneus's story touched my heart, though I dislike children in most cases. But I felt some... relief, I think, when he died. I couldn't let him be all alone in this deserted place, but taking him to Ark was also a bad idea for my Prophetess. She didn't want to becoming a "mother" and her beloved Jespar will probably disapprove it :") There's no place for children in the life of mercenaries.

Day 8: Forgotten Homeland. Ruins of Dal'Varek's estate.

Day 9: The Shards of Order. I decided to draw Undercity for this day and choose this place, because I find this tree very tragic with all these papers (and dreams) attached to it.

Day 10: The Choice. In my first walkthrough Tharaêl decided to kill himself, and I was shocked. I was in tears for twenty minutes, because i love this character so much :/ And I decided that I MUST save him! I played all Rhalata quest line for the second time... And Tharaêl decided to jump too T.T Then I realized that I didn't spare Qalian in all my attempts....... *sighs* But I like this parallel between him and Tharaêl so much.
