I mentioned the pipe as a good (if sad) sign that she existed at all but WOOPS the pipe fell off the stand on its own and EVERYTHING STARTS FADING OUT OF EXISTENCE as if none of it had ever been here

Also in that bottom page the pipe is back on the stand again so it definitely feels like Reality is struggling to figure out what to do with this place. Is it here? Is it not? Does time move at all? It can't seem decide, and it's erring dangerously close to non-existence from the way it all seems to be playing out.

What a way to make Watanuki's day even worse.

Watanuki callsout to Maru and Moro and that's very interesting to me, since I don't think he knows exactly when they disappeared or why. And yet! They are exactly the ones who are fighting to keep this place existing for him at all.

OH IT'S ALL SUCH A GUTPUNCH.

But! It stabilises! Maru and Moro seem to win their fight against reality and keep the store solid and existing once again. Watanuki takes up Yuuko's pipe as he sadly thinks about her and Mokona as well, wishing any of them might come back.

Meanwhile Doumeki like... awkwardly stands outside the door. Which I have complicated thoughts about because I suppose he's like, guarding Watanuki in his desperate emotions and lingering nearby just in case anything bad does happen. And maybe giving him space to actually feel the grief that he has failed to keep him distracted from.
