ALRIGHT i just got into some more wyll backstory and by god i am SO jason todd-ifying this man and no one can stop me!!!!

propaganda below:

first of all, he’s the son of a very important, powerful, well-known man in the city

his dad left him alone as a teenager to go on a bigger mission, which was the beginning of the end for him

he only wanted to help others, and trusted a woman he shouldn’t have, in retrospect, but in the moment he saw no other option

literally/figuratively made a deal with the devil in order to help others, and was quickly tricked and backstabbed for it

left with a scar and can’t talk about the event (literally, but figuratively too)

was forced to leave the only family he had left and can’t go back home

now it’s years later, and he doesn’t blame his dad but he does miss him. he wonders if his dad misses him back — or if maybe he only misses the boy he’d been when he left home

and less plot-relevant, but they’re both incredibly goofy and adorable. jason is definitely more rough around the edges and harder to like (on purpose, maybe) than wyll, but they both have such strong moral compasses and compassion for others — they’re very similar overall and i love them both !!
