Jour 2 : National Museum of Scotland & balade bucolique au bord de Water of Leith

Aujourd'hui, je suis allé au musée national d'Écosse et encore une fois je suis impressionné par la diversité des collections. Le bâtiment est magnifique, c'est fluide, lumineux, ludique, bref de quoi y passer un long et bon moment tellement c'est une mine d'informations. Et on fait "coucou" à la véritable Dolly ! (Oui c'est pas mon genre de prendre des photos d'animaux empaillés sinon !)

Après le musée, direction la rue principale de Old Town et là, je mets littéralement une demie-heure pour faire 300 mètres, tellement il y a d'artistes de rue, tous autant plus drôle et talentueux les uns que les autres. Puis c'est une bonne occasion d'écouter et d'appréhender l'accent Ecoooussay !

S'en ai suivi une balade le long d'un cours d'eau, au calme, a à peine 10 minutes de marche des axes principaux.

Décidément, Édimbourg a tout pour plaire... Demain visite du château !

I've been trying to get a lot more active, setting a target of 10 thousand plus steps a day, which I did Monday to Friday last week, I took it easier over the weekend, but was pleased with my total for the week of just under 75 thousand, which they reckon converts to around 45ish miles.

With all this walking I have been taking hundreds of pics, unfortunately where I am staying (with friends) is quite chaotic at times. They have two exuberant dogs and a wee lassie who is coming up to 3 years old. I have been doing a wee bit babysitting, she can be quite demanding, but am coping, she loves me and I love her.

Anyway will try and post more pics- but we are all off to Rhodes on Friday for a week, I'll have my laptop with me so will be doing some posts, for the week though expect a Greek flavour to my page!
