A 34-year-old man has driven drunk with his second car to a police station in Weißenhorn (district of Neu-Ulm) to fetch his car key back, which the officers had seized the day before to prevent him from driving under the influence of alcohol. This way, the man had evaded being charged.

Before the officers returned the keys, they made a routine breath test for alcohol, resulting in 0.7 per mil BAC. Consequently, the man had to turn in the keys of his other car. Additionally, he will now be charged for driving under the influence of alcohol.

15 Oct 2020 Germany’s first 3D-printed home

Germany’s first 3D-printed house is located in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Beckum. The two-storey, 160 m2 single-family home is currently under construction.

The 3D printing process has already been applied to the walls of the house. A nozzle applies special concrete in layers. The print head moves over three axes on a fixed frame and is controlled by just two people.

It takes just five minutes to print one square meter of a double-shelled wall. This innovative technology saves more than time compared to conventional construction methods; it also significantly reduces resources and allows for greater freedom in building design.

Viessmann heating, cooling and ventilation products have been selected for this home by PERI GmbH, one of the world’s leading suppliers of formwork and scaffolding systems, as well as civil engineering solutions. When completed, the first home will be heated and cooled by a high-efficiency Vitocal 200-S air/water heat pump and ventilated by the Vitovent 300-W ventilation system.

The temperature will be perfectly regulated all year round. The heat pump is highly efficient with a COP (coefficient of performance) of up to 5.0 (EN 14511 at A7/W35°C) and has an energy efficiency rating of A++.

The new Vitoset heat pump-hybrid cylinder WPU 300/100L will be installed as a heating buffer and DHW cylinder. The hybrid cylinder solution saves a lot of space since it consists of one 300-litre enamel DHW cylinder and a 100-litre buffer cylinder. The cylinder is delivered in one piece and is completely insulated.

Fresh, clean, and especially germ-free ambient air is more important than ever in times of Covid-19, and so the Vitovent 300-W central home ventilation system will also be installed in Germany’s first 3D-printed house. This quiet ventilation system is particularly quiet and compact and recovers up to 92 per cent of the heat from extracted air during the cold weather, saving heating costs. In combination with the Vitocal 200-S heat pump, the ventilation can be conveniently controlled using the free ViCare app on a smartphone.

PERI GmbH expects 3D printing to gain in importance in the next few years, and additional residential projects are already in preparation.

Am Sonntag sind die Narren los!

Regensburg - Der Ostbayerische Gaudiwurm zieht am Sonntag, den 16.2., durch die Welterbestadt. Über 50 Gruppen werden für eine bunte Mischung sorgen. Vor dem Start um 13.13 Uhr informiert der Veranstalter Narragonia über damit verbundene Auswirkungen auf Anwohner und Verkehr. Damit die Narren ungestört feiern können, werden einige Straßen in der Innenstadt gesperrt und es gelten Parkverbote. Am Sonntagnachmittag vertreiben sie den Ernst des Lebens: Die vielen Teilnehmer/innen des Ostbayerischen Faschingszuges in ihren feschen Kostümen und mit viel guter Laune. Eine Jury wird den schönsten Wagen und die schönste Gruppe aussuchen und diese am Ende der Veranstaltung an der Moderationsbühne bekannt geben. Die Bühne auf dem Neupfarrplatz erreicht der Zug nach einem Marsch durch die Altstadt. Neupfarrplatz wird zur Faschingshochburg Los geht es um 13.13 Uhr beim Schwammerl in der Maximilianstraße. Der Gaudiwurm zieht dann über die Speichergasse, den alten Kornmarkt, über die Domstraße und den Domplatz sowie die Residenzstraße bis zum Neupfarrplatz, wo die Spitze des Zuges gegen 14 Uhr erwartet wird. Am Neupfarrplatz werden alle Zugteilnehmer begrüßt und kurz vorgestellt, bevor sie den Regensburger Faschings-Hotspot über die Gesandtenstraße und den Bismarckplatz wieder verlassen. Im Anschluss an den Zug wird Bürgermeisterin Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer die Stadtschlüssel an das Prinzenpaar übergeben. Bis 17 Uhr sorgt DJ Hanika mit Hits für musikalische Unterhaltung und ausgelassene Stimmung. In Teilen der Stadt haben die Narren Vorrang Auf der gesamten Strecke besteht am Sonntag ein absolutes Parkverbot von 8 bis 15 Uhr. Ab 11 Uhr dürfen die Straßen nicht mehr befahren werden – auch nicht von Anwohnern. Anliegende Parkplätze können weder angefahren noch verlassen werden. Für die Aufstellungsstrecke in der Margaretenstraße und Fritz-Fendt-Straße gelten abweichende Zeiten. Straßensperren und Einschränkungen am 16.2.: Die Festwagen, die beim diesjährigen Faschingsumzug mitwirken, werden in der Albertstraße auf der gebäudeabgewandten Straßenseite zwischen Maximilianstraße und Fritz-Fend-Straße aufgestellt. Der Zugweg des Regensburger Faschingsumzuges erstreckt sich über folgende Straßen und Plätze: Maximilianstraße, Speichergasse, Alter Kornmarkt, Domstraße, Domplatz, Residenzstraße, Neupfarrplatz. Folgende Straßensperrungen sind deshalb notwendig: Vollsperrung der Albertstraße zwischen Maximilianstraße und Querspange Fritz-Fend-Straße an der Kreuzung Maximilianstraße am Sonntag, 16. Februar 2020, von 11 bis 14.30 Uhr Vollsperrung der Fritz-Fend-Str. zwischen Kumpfmühler Straße und Bahnhofstraße am Sonntag, 16. Februar 2020, von 11 bis 14.30 Uhr Vollsperrung der restlichen Festzugstrecke am Sonntag, 16. Februar 2020 von 13 bis 14.30 Uhr an folgenden Stellen: - Maximilianstraße - Speichergasse - Alter Kornmarkt - Domstraße - Residenzstraße - Neupfarrplatz  Haltverbote am Sonntag, 16. Februar 2020, von 8 bis 18 Uhr an folgenden Stellen: - Busparkplatz Querspange Fritz-Fend-Straße - Albertstraße, Süd- und Nordseite - Krauterermarkt, Westseite  Es besteht keine Wegfahrmöglichkeit am Sonntag, 16. Februar 2020, von 13 bis 14.30 Uhr an folgenden Stellen: - südlicher Alter Kornmarkt an der Einfahrt - nördlicher Alter Kornmarkt an der Einfahrt - Domplatz, Parkplätze vor der Dompost Es muss mit weiteren Einschränkungen im Stadtgebiet gerechnet werden. Die Bürgerinnen und Bürger werden um Verständnis gebeten.
