So i made a character up in a game of roblox, i kinda based him off of bucky barnes/the winter soldier, in terms of both being soldiers from the past who have a metal arm and a fuckton of trauma.
Tumblr media
Although Clive Anderson(my soldier) lost both of his arms due to damage caused by frostbite, 3rd degree burns and gangrene.
he was unearthed decades later by a couple scientists and resurrected frankenstein style(a little bit of zappy zappy) before sedating him, amputating both of his arms, and replacing the arms with metal augmented prosthetic arms that were permanently welded on.
Yes, he is nakey under that cloth, but only because it fit well in terms of the fact that he had his tattered up soldier's uniform torn off of him in order to proceed with the surgery.
He awoke about a month after being brought back to life, confused as all hell.
He literally awoke about 1 month and 10-20 years after getting caught up in an explosion.
Also, for the sake of geographical accuracy, i'm gonna say that he was in a cold tundra like russia or antarctica, and his body was brought back to the usa.
Yes, i know that you can't resurrect a frozen human who's been trapped under snow for 10-20 years with electricity, but FUCK THE SCIENTIFIC ACCURACIES! Let a man be as fictional as he can!

MIG vs. TIG Welding Machines: Which One is Right for Your Project?
Choosing between a MIG welding machine and a TIG welding machine is more than a technical decision—it’s a strategic one. The right choice can impact your project's timeline, quality, and cost-efficiency. Whether you're in the business of industrial fabrication, automotive repair, or precision metalwork, understanding the difference between these two core welding methods is essential.
At Rajiv Machine Tools, we help businesses and professionals navigate this choice every day. In this article, we’ll break down the strengths and ideal applications of both MIG and TIG welding, helping you decide which type of welder best suits your specific needs.
Understanding the Basics: MIG vs. TIG
What is MIG Welding?
MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding uses a continuously fed wire electrode and a shielding gas to weld materials. The wire acts as both an electrode and a filler material. It’s known for its speed and ease of use, especially on thicker metals.
Key Traits of MIG Welding Machines:
Fast weld speeds
Easier to learn
Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
Works well on thicker materials
Tumblr media
What is TIG Welding?
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode. The filler material is added manually, and a shielding gas (usually argon) protects the weld area. TIG is best for high-precision welding.
Key Traits of TIG Welding Machines:
High precision and control
Cleaner, high-quality welds
Better for thin materials
Requires more skill and time
Tumblr media
MIG Welding Machine: When Speed and Versatility Matter
If you’re looking to weld thick materials quickly and efficiently, a MIG welder is your best bet. It’s often the go-to choice for:
Automotive repair
General fabrication
Shipbuilding
Industrial maintenance
Pros:
Faster deposition rate
Easy to automate
Less operator skill required
Great for production environments
Cons:
Less control over weld pool
Can produce more spatter
Not ideal for intricate designs
MIG welding is perfect when time is money. If your project requires quick turnaround and sturdy welds—think industrial frames, pipelines, or brackets—this is the tool you want in your arsenal.
TIG Welding Machine: When Precision is Paramount
TIG welders shine when detail and aesthetics matter. They’re commonly used for:
Aerospace components
Bicycle frames
Art installations
Thin sheet metal work
Pros:
Exceptionally clean welds
No spatter
Excellent control over weld bead
Perfect for critical welds on thin materials
Cons:
Slower process
Steeper learning curve
Requires skilled hands
TIG welding is ideal for projects where appearance and precision can’t be compromised. Think stainless steel tanks, aluminum joints, or custom-fabricated designs.
MIG vs. TIG: A Comparative Snapshot
Feature -------------- MIG Welding --------------- TIG Welding
Skill Level --------------- Beginner-Friendly --------------- Advanced
Speed --------------- High --------------- Low
Material Thickness ------ Medium to Thick --------------- Thin to Medium
Cleanup --------------- Moderate --------------- Minimal
Precision --------------- Moderate --------------- Very High
Application Type --------------- Industrial, High-Volume --------------- Precision, Artistic
Choosing the Right Welding Machine for Your Needs
Before making a decision, ask yourself the following questions:
1. What Material Will You Be Welding?
MIG welders are excellent for carbon steel and thicker aluminum.
TIG welders are better for stainless steel and thin-gauge aluminum.
2. What is the Required Weld Quality?
For appearance-critical work, TIG is your best option.
For structural strength in less visible areas, MIG is sufficient.
3. How Skilled Are Your Operators?
MIG machines are more forgiving for beginners.
TIG machines need trained hands to get clean, consistent results.
4. What’s Your Production Volume?
High-volume fabrication favors MIG for its speed.
Custom or small-batch jobs can benefit from TIG's finesse.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Using TIG on heavy-duty industrial jobs: It’s slower and may not penetrate as deeply.
Using MIG for decorative or intricate work: You’ll spend more time cleaning up welds and correcting mistakes.
Not factoring in gas type and cost: MIG typically uses CO2 or an argon/CO2 mix, while TIG uses pure argon—each with cost implications.
The Role of Automation
MIG welding is easier to automate and is frequently used in robotic welding systems for automotive and mass production. TIG welding, while automatable, is mostly reserved for high-end, low-volume tasks that demand accuracy.
If you’re considering automation, MIG machines provide a clear path toward improving throughput and consistency.

Unleash Your Inner Metal Master: Should You Become A MIG Welder?
Tumblr media
The world of welding is very complex to a learner, especially when starting in the welding trade. The real subtlety in any technique or equipment is knowing which tool is the right one to employ. However, taking into consideration the target audience of users who are trying to identify the most suitable welder, the MIG welders seem to be the most handy and easy to use.
MIG Welder- What is this?
MIG welder machines are also called gas metal arc welders (GMAW); in this technique, a solid thin wire electrode, which acts both as a welding pole as well as a filler material is used. The wire itself is maintained electrically conductive; as soon as it gets near the workpiece, an electric arc is struck to fuse both the wire and workpiece to create a weld.
Versatility
MIG welders can weld so many different types of metal, mild steels, stainless steels, and aluminum. This makes them so versatile for use in as many projects possible, be it car or home renovation projects.
Ease of Use
However, MIG is significantly easier to master than other welding methods, such as the TIG welding method. The shielding gas and the wire feed result in a smooth and spatter-free surface of the molten weld metal, allowing better manipulation of the weld.
Speed and Efficiency
MIG welder can be completed in less time than most other types of welding based on their higher welding speed. This is a plus for such applications since it lets you engage in a number of sessions and complete more through them rather than spending much time repeating a single session over and over.
Conclusion
A MIG welder is strong and flexible and can be effective for increasing understanding of a new, innovative world of metal. MIG welders are a popular choice for anyone wanting to find an easy and straightforward method of fusing metals together. If you want to know more or check out MIG welders from Cana Weld, the leading Canadian welding supply company, visit Canaweld.com
