"Whatever gave you the idea that I'm not?" Starscream hisses between bared teeth. A servo is pressed against his side, angled away from Wheeljack -- maybe if he's intimidating enough, the stupid little engineer will get the hint and leave him alone.

Crimson optics flicker unwittingly, and he muffles his grunt with a jerk of his head. "Have you not more pressing matters? Say, repairing your little friends? I didn't ask you to come here."

Optimus is in veritable pieces. His arm's off. His jaw is near cleaved in two--but Wheeljack is there. It'll be all right. It has to be.

WJ is going to be a canon soup-- mostly G1 Science Dad, but he DOES have a particular talent for explosives that he can use in a tight spot (a la TFP).

Depending on the verse: Later in the war, though-- he was captured by the Decepticons. Wheeljack survived-- but it left him pretty banged up. And he gets... confused, sometimes. Shockwave did something to his memory cores.
