3. What's in your F/O’s bookcase/E-reader/etc.? Does your F/O even like to read?

i think that while aiden doesnt have a lot of books to his name, he keeps a couple around. namely adventuring guides with the occasional hero's journey story and writing tips thrown in.

he does okay with reading, but he gets distracted easily. he just finds it hard to direct his focus into sitting down with a book and reading the whole thing through; most of his books are littered with bookmarks

13. What's in your F/O's pockets? 

so as a minecraft character, im going to equate his pockets = his inventory.

first, of course, is his weapon. during the events of season 1 he carries an iron sword. in the DLC episodes and beyond, it is a diamond sword

aiden always carries half a stack of torches as well as some vegetables, sweet berries, and steak (least likely to make one sick if undercooked). he also always has a map or a journal of some kind

random or assorted junk is usually misc. junk items from minecraft itself, usually string or a twig or two. basically lint.

potions, usually one of these three: strength, instant health, and one of my custom potions which is basically a bitter chocolate = coffee / acrid potion. give me a poke in a bit and ill try to explain my two main potions

gold locket gifted to him by wulfric. because he wears turtlenecks, he can hide it under his clothes and thus isnt easily seen. ofc he put wulfrics picture in it but when wulfric asked him what he did with it he said he threw it away

aiden takes wulf caving and he gets annoyed as fuck cuz wulf is complaining (mix of claustrophobia, fear of the dark and fear of hostile mobs) and hes like "oh fucking give it up already"

and then they get out of the cave and wulf takes off his helmet and is saying about how hes so glad to take off the armor because it was hot and heavy. and as he does theres one of those slow mo scenes from aidens perspective where his eyelashes and his soft face and bright blue eyes and soft red hair and are all so beautiful to him

and he flushes and turns away and says "yeah, yeah. whine some more why dont u" while trying not to let wulfric see how red he is

3. Screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on Tumblr?

In 2020 there was this user, who I'm sure had good intentions, who was saying that shipping any Aiden ship was abusive and that shipping with Radar was pedophilia. Again, I think it was good intentions, but it was a really bad take.

4. What was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?

I'm really petty, I just didn't like their art style or their writing.

9. Worst part of canon?

That we didn't get to see more of Fred, and that we didn't get to see more Harper or really any other DLC or Season 1 characters who weren't the main cast. Also, as much as I'm like neutral on Ivor again, I think we should've gotten to see him more, too.

10. Worst part of fanon?

Aiden woobification. It might've died down since 2020, or I might just be really good at avoiding it. Radar infantilism is still something I see really bad. Fatphobia. Also racism is like, kind of bad in the MCSM fandom and I don't think a lot of people talk about it.

11. Number of fandom-related words you've filtered?

Finally a question I'm most suited for. If I count both filtered tags and words: 21. Honestly not as many as I was expecting.

12. The unpopular character that you actually like, and why more people should like them?

Um... Do I like any unpopular characters? I figure Romeo and Aiden are super popular... I guess if I have to get SPECIFIC, then red-suspender male Jesse. Green-suspender seems to be more popular. I just think he's neat.

People forgetting Reuben's spots!

None. Wulfden supremacy forever.

24. Topic that brings up the most rancid discourse?

Sanguine's breath, I was having a hard time coming up with one, and this might be old news, but Jesse pronouns discourse. Cannot believe the amount of people I used to see who would say that you couldn't use any pronouns for Jesse other than they/them. I don't have an issue with they/them Jesse, but you can't enforce your personal headcanons like they're canon.

25. Common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing?

That the fandom is dying. Maybe if people reblogged more art and stuff, and not just the joke or silly art, it wouldn't be so much.

Bonus: The dumbest discourse I've ever been personally involved in?

Once I got a callout for saying RPF was wrong. That was funny.

The New Colony concludes its 2017 Season with the world premiere of Michael Allen Harris’ prison drama PUNK, co-directed by Diana Raiselis and Katrina Dion, playing through November 5, 2017 at The New Colony’s resident home, The Den Theatre’s Upstairs Main Stage, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Tickets on sale at www.thenewcolony.org.

PUNK features Kyle Encinas, Keyanna Khatiblou, Monette McLin, Evie Riojas, Aaron Sanchez and Daniel Shtivelberg.

Set in a maximum-security prison in present day America, Punk is the story of a group of inmates who are protected and housed in a special unit for gay, bisexual and transgender inmates. Tensions rise when Travis, a young man sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a gay man, requests to transfer into the unit. Fear and suspicion hover over the inmates who call this unit home.

The production team for PUNK includes: Eleanor Kahn (scenic design), Uriel Gomez, (costumes design), Eric Watkins (lighting design), Jeffery Levin (sound design), Sydney Achler (props design), Kyle Encinas (choreography), Ryan Oliviera (dramaturg), Uriel Gomez (technical director), Ali Drumm (production manager) and Rose Hamill (stage manager).

About the Creative Team

Michael Allen Harris (Playwright) As a playwright, Michael has collaborated with Chicago theatre companies such as Broken Nose Theatre, Jackalope Theatre, Arc Theatre, Stage 773, Fine Print Theatre, Chicago Home Theater Festival and The New Colony. His play, Rocky Road, received its world premiere at the New Studio Theatre of Columbia College Chicago in March of 2013. It was the first production featured in the Main Stage season that was authored by an alumnus. His play, The Velvet Tabernacle, was featured in a development series on behalf of Fine Print Theatre. His most recent play, Kingdom, is currently involved in a season-long development on behalf of Broken Nose Theatre and received its first stage reading at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater. In February 2016, he was part of The New Colony’s Writer’s Room and completed the first draft of his full-length play Ascension. His short plays include: House of Samurai, They Let Him Bleed, Project Agatha and The Woman Who Stared into the Eyes of The Red Horseman. As an actor, Michael worked with Adventure Stage, Eclipse Theatre, Gift Theatre, Teatro Vista, The-Massive, Stone Soup Theatre Project, Infusion Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre and Cold Basement Dramatics. He was nominated for a BTAA for his performance as Fortune in Eclipse Theatre’s Jeff-nominated production of Ruined. Diana Raiselis (Co-Director) is a Chicago-based director and community event producer.  Recent directing projects include Resolution (Pride Films & Plays), Punk (workshop production, The New Colony), THIRST: a climate change theater action (Jackalope) and festival premieres with Collaboraction, Jackalope, Prologue and Buzz22 Chicago. As a producer, she co-curates Slaymaker Loft’s occasional new-work series party/theater/party, and has served on producing teams for events at Pritzker Pavilion, the Steppenwolf Garage and site-specific locations around Chicago. Proud alumna of Northwestern University and the Steppenwolf Professional Leadership Program. www.dianaraiselis.com

Katrina Dion (Co-Director) works as a director and teaching artist in Chicago. At Free Street Theater (FST), Katrina acts as the Operations and Youth Program Manager. In this position, she leads the high school ensemble in a conservatory level year long critical thinking and creation process focusing on issues affecting Chicago youth while managing the companies grants and financials. Katrina is also on staff with Albany Park Theater Project (APTP) as their lead academic tutor. Last year, Katrina had the pleasure of working with APTP on Learning Curve as a Production Assistant. Most recently, she directed Los Milagros/The Miracles Project, Checkmate and The Americans at FST; co-directed Cycle 3 of Every 28 Hours at The Goodman Theater along with Coya Paz; Zipped and Pelted at the Chicago Fringe Festival; and Convention or The Winos with The Wulfden. She has had the pleasure of assisting directors such as Bonnie Metzgar, Coya Paz and Krissy Vanderwarker. Katrina received her BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in directing with a minor in Mathematics from DePaul University.
