▌𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐒 : Oh god, like loads. Leon holds Siôn and everything he stands for in incredibly high regard. He admires the wide array of skills found in people like Mustard, Dani, Wallace, Tobias and Red and can admit he has a lot to learn from them. Of course he respects current Kalosian Champion Xavier and all he and Serena have achieved. Oh, and he’s also really grown to respect Nighteye and is slowly getting past his discomfort/fear of Celebi as a result (much in the same way Yveltal wasn’t frightening, because it was already so heavily associated with Dani).

▌𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : Straight.

▌𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐄 / 𝐊𝐈𝐃𝐒 : Neutral on both, in the sense that if they never happen he’d never feel like he “missed out”. When he proposed marriage to Dani he left it entirely up to her if and when she accepted, since he was happy to spend the rest of his life as her boyfriend if that was what she wanted. As for kids, it would have been nice but he understands that’s off the table and he’s totally fine with accepting that. They baby his Rotom, instead.

▌𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 : Warm tones, especially red. Can go overly-dressed formal like his Battle Tower outfit, though most of the time defaults to something less dressy and much easier to train in.

▌𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 : Aside from people I’ve already mentioned... He loves the rest of the Galar League and truly wishes them the greatest of successes. Also shoutout to Guzma, because while ‘love’ is too strong a word for what Leon currently feels, he truly does appreciate all Guzma does for Marshy and is glad the Quagsire made him his best friend.

▌𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐒 : Warm and approachable! He’s always happy to meet new people, though genuine friendships will take a little while to develop. It helps if they have something in common to talk about, whether that’s the obvious topic of pokemon or some other shared interest, and over time Leon will let more of his masks drop until finally they’re seeing him. They’ll know when that moment comes, and when it does, Leon will be their friend for life.

▌𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐊 : Water, to be honest. He’s very health conscious and most of the time would prefer to drink that over literally anything else.

▌𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐀𝐓 : If he’s not vibing at home, you can almost definitely find him dominating the skies. The sense of freedom he finds up there surpasses any description he could give, and it’s something he’s found comfort in since the moment Char could fly. Not only is it easy to cater to their mood (how exciting the flight gets can be easily controlled by speed or the amount of performed aerial acrobatics), but it’s one of the few times they can be certain there’s no fan or media influence coming to disturb them.

▌𝐒𝐖𝐈𝐌 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐀𝐍 : Neither? Leon’s not a huge swimmer, either in terms of skill or preference, so I guess a lake would seem like it’d give an easier time.

Things I have decided about Lake’s fankids while getting ready to fall asleep:

Xavier’s nickname is Xay, and they are an agent of chaos. As much as their brother they are a product of Lake, Lucio and Asra’s combined parenting. Which of course means they’re kind of impulsive, a bit quick tempered but put up a hedonistic front. They go out on a mercenary lifestyle for a bit and has like a cock-sure swagger for sure.

Gawain has a different persona for partying and a fake identity as Mordred some random guy with a whole lot of makeup and large coloured lenses and his hair done up. He’s actually kind of strict about it, keeping his courtly interests and his party interests separated. He’s not even very sexual, I headcanon him losing his virginity the night of the masquerade where I am like... starting his like romance line? idk I got attached to the idea of Gawain as romanceable, he’s so daddy issues-y.

Xay is not daddy issues-y, they grew up with Lucio watching over them and keeping them distracted while their other parents dealt with the crisis of Gawain’s out of control magic. Their impression of Lucio is ‘Pa, who taught me how to fight and still says ‘oopsies’ on occasion.’ you know? And while Asra lives most of the time in Vesuvia, Xay grew up in Haven, spending a few months a year in Vesuvia when Lake would take him to visit Asra and Gawain. Gawain hates them because they used to beat him up because they didn’t understand fully that their brother didn’t bond in the same physically aggressive way they and Lucio do. From Gawain’s perspective for like half a year he gets harassed by his dumb jock sibling and then he has to go visit his stupid other father who all Gawain hears about is how shitty awful he was to everyone all the time, and he actually knows who Muriel is, and he likes Muriel more than he likes Lucio he’s pretty sure.

I’ve been trying to decide Arcana and Familiars, I think Gawain is the Magician like Asra, a core character trait I’m giving him is ‘liar’ and that makes him good for illusions, and I love the imagery of the trickster fox, so I kind of want to make a sort of kitsune inspired masquerade mask for him. I think Xay might be The Moon. The description for the Arcana deck seems good for them, so a cool wolf mask would make sense. Xay’s masquerade experience is different because they are kind of a mercenary bumpkin from the south with good connections, rather than Gawain who is 100% playing The Game. I like the idea of Gawain having a younger sibling to Faust, a golden snake that’s still not very long yet, have not figured a name out yet. Xay has a big cat, from a litter Lake’s familiar Nimue had when Xay was still little.

Xay dresses a little bit like mercenary Lucio but like a different colour scheme. Gawain varies depending on if he’s presentable and fancy in court, relaxing at the shop with Asra, or exploring the rest of the city as Mordred. He takes some style cues from Asra and Nadia, but he takes advantage of his looking like Lucio to be unsettling to people since people wouldn’t let him forget it, so he just leans into the red and gold. Though with Nadia and Asra as style guides it’s a lot less garish. Or more garish but in a deliberate sort of way.

Xay is tall, and Gawain is short-average. Exact heights pending on some more designing. But Xay wears heels for riding horses, Gawain wears heels to look hot and tall. (honestly I regret how much work I put into his abs because I’m starting to thing he should be a skinny nerd.... but the abs. He does parkour with Asra it’s fine idk)

Full disclosure - I left out one fic that began with faux email addresses, because it looked a complete mess when I pasted it across, and another because it’s only 178 words long! 

I can’t say I can see any real patterns in how I begin a fic... They seem to be relatively equal between Bernie and Serena dialogue or reference. I think my favourite opener is Fight For, although the reference to Bernie’s shapely bum in Cucumber Overload is quite pleasant 😏
