Random thought about Miguel, singing to his unborn triplets in Spanish because they won’t calm down inside Reader’s belly. He sings songs his mom and abuela sang to him as a baby.😭

I love this. He would totally do this because he'd hate to see Reader uncomfortable and try everything to easy the trouble. At first it was pillows and gentle massages, talking to the babies, but nothing seemed to work, so he tries to think of what his mom and Yaya would do when he would younger and he remembers them singing to him a lot when he was upset out needed to go to sleep.

Chiang Mai

Jeg kom til CHiang Mai d. 11. marts om aftenen, og de næste dage blev brugt på at hvile ud.

Jeg var virkelig træt efterhånden, for jeg havde været på farten et stykke tid, jeg havde skulle indfinde mig i at rejse solo, jeg har også allerede en billet tilbage til Australien, så jeg følte mig udmattet og mæt af indtryk.

Jeg fik dog stadig set Chiang Mai, og det er et skønt sted, som jeg gerne vil tilbage til.

Folkene på mit hostel var mega søde og meget nemmere at snakke med, så jeg fik hurtigt venner, hvilket også var rart.

Jeg boede i den gamle bydel, som er en firkant i midten af Chiang Mai. Kanterne er dannet af gamle volde, og der er ikke alt for mange steder, man kan gå over, hvilket er upraktisk, men en del af charmen.

Om søndagen er der et stort aften marked i centrum af det gamle Chiang Mai. De lukker en masse gader, og så er det ellers pakket med boder, stande og mennesker. Det er virkelig hyggelig atmosfære.

Sælgerne er dog svære at prutte prismæssigt, fordi de er så vant til turister, og de ved, der er turister, der nok skal betale overpris for tingene. Selvølgelig er det meste af det billigere end i Danmark, men tingene er langt fra billige. Maden er stadig relativt billig, men en kjole bliver nemt solgt for 150 kr, fordi sælgerne ikke er til at prutte. Jeg var stædig, så det nægtede jeg at betale, selvom kjolen var virkelig sød. Men kunne se, at den måske var til at sy.... Mor???

En aften var jeg henne med et par kvinder at se thai boxing, hvilket var ret interessant. Eftersom jeg ikke har forstand på boxing, så kan jeg ikke rigtigt sige, hvad forskellen er, men det ændrede ikke på, at det var underholdende. Der var to franskmænd og en tysker, der boxede, men det virkede til, at deres kampe mest var for turister i den forstand, at de virkede uægte. Det er vigtigt at have mere end et sted, for elefanter er flok dyr, så voksen elefanter, der ikke tidligere har været i samme flok, er ikke sikre på at kunne komme ud af det med hinanden. Det er nemmere med unge elefanter, som nemmere kan blive interegreret ind i en flok. De sagde, de i Thailand har omkring 85 elefanter fordelt på de fire steder. Vi så kun fire af de elefanter, der var, hvor vi var. Dette synes jeg er positivt, for de skal have lov til bare at leve deres elefantliv. De var ikke bundet på nogen måde, og de kunne gå frit rundt, derfor fik vi også at vide, at vi skulle holde os i nærheden af gruppen, så vi ikke kom i karambolage med elefanterne ved et uheld. Vi gav bananer og lidt risbolde til elefanterne, og vi kom ud at bade med dem i både vand og mudder, hvor vi skulle komme mudder og vand på elefanterne, da åbenbart hjælper med deres hud og beskytter mod myggestik. Det var alt i alt en god dag, og jeg var positivt overrasket over behandlingen er elefanterne, selvom jeg dog ikke tænker, jeg vil gøre det igen lige umiddelbart.

Turen hjem fik jeg det dog elendigt. Tror det var en blanding af sol, varme og ikke nok vand.

Jeg kom da også i byen og danse i Chiang Mai. Jeg havde egentlig ikke planlagt det, men det skete lige pludseligt. Jeg endte med at tage hjem tidligere end de andre. Siden der ikke var langt, omkring 10 minutters gang, besluttede jeg mig for at gå. Jeg havde overvejet at tage en taxa, men jeg følte mig generelt ret sikker i Thailand og specifikt Chiang Mai i denne forbindelse. Der skete heller ingenting, så alt var fint.

Jeg endte med at være i Chiang Mai ind til, jeg skulle tilbage til Australien. Mit fly til Australien var booket fra Bangkok, og jeg havde jo lært af mine fejl fra tidligere, så jeg havde et fly fra Chiang Mai til Bangkok. Jeg havde omkring 5-6 timer i Bangkok lufthavn, men jeg ville hellere være i god tid end at misse mit fly.
